Jeffress: God wants you to stay with your birth gender

First Baptist Church of Dallas Pastor Robert Jeffress told me on radio Friday night that it’s “ludicrous” that the Obama administration issued guidelines that public school students could go to the bathroom of the gender with which they identify. He quoted Jesus saying, “God made them originally male and female,” underscoring his belief that one should not go through gender transition. He added that “some gender confusion in our society probably has to be laid at the feet of gender stereotypes that society has promoted.”

However, while Pastor Jeffress believes if God made you male you should stay that way, and the same if you’re born female, he doesn’t feel the same way about being born gay. That’s because he believes “God doesn’t make you born gay.”
