      If you were to spend some time hanging out with me, I am sure you’d come to the same conclusion about Southerners. You may even see what I’ve been saying about being consistent when it comes to bigotry and stereotypes and standing up against it when it comes from the Left rather than laughing along with the rest of the herd.

      I don’t know, I may very well be a Southern fool, but occasionally I deploy what I think of as my “Silencer Post.” It has never failed to silence a Southern-hating bigot who tries to use racism as a cudgel to express their bigotry.
      Alls I gotta do is post my Silencer Post and their concern for racism evaporates and they go mute.
      It works every time. …..it’s like magic….

        I know not all southerners are that way, I lived in Jacksonville Florida for 15 years, but it is nice to see someone blowing up that stereotype in a big way.

        I lived down south for a period of time and some of the best people in the world are from that area. The guy in the video explained how he was breaking a stereotype and he was. They are not all the same anymore than any other group, but it seems the southern idiots always have the microphone and the sensible ones never get to have their time to give their side.

    Donald Trump wrong about sports, too. He’s a disgrace, he’s terrible.

    Republicans are often entertaining when they talk about music and try to be hip. You guys should tune in to Red Eye Radio and hear Red Eye Robot talk about how Rush, Kansas and Styx are his favorite bands, thinking he sounds with it.

    After music, the next funniest topic to hear them flounder about on is sports. Many of them have a need to seem sporty and macho. My faves are Hannity and Limbaugh, who seem to think if they talk tough about sports and toss in a few grunts, that it will magically grow hair on their bald, pink chests.
    4 years ago my fave baseball team, the Washington Nationals, put their ace pitcher Steven Strasburg on an innings limit after he had Tommy John surgery on his elbow. Toward the end of the season they shut him down.
    At the time Trump said they were making a mistake and that he’d sign with another team.
    Well, the Nats went to the playoffs without Strasburg and his replacement didn’t allow a run as I recall, and critics like Trump never seemed to notice that Strasburg was running out of gas at the end of that year and was pulled in the 3rd inning of his last game after giving up 6 runs or something.

    Anyway, of course Trump was wrong. Strasburg came back, has been terrific and just signed an extension with the Nationals that will pay him $175 million over the next 7 years.

    SHOCKER! Trump was wrong again!

    Last night history was made in one of the rarest events in baseball, rarer even than a perfect game, turning an unassisted triple play or hitting 4 home runs in a game.
    Guys, this is why we need to go see more games because you never know when you’ll be there for something special.

    Last night at Nationals Park versus the De-troit Tigers, Max Scherzer struck out 20 batters in 9 innings in a 3-2 victory.
    Bob Feller never did it. Koufax never did it, neither did Walter Johnson or Bob Gibson.
    Other than Scherzer, the list of pitchers who struck out 20 batters in 9 innings is:

    Roger Clemens (twice).
    Kerry Wood.

    That’s it.
    Nolan Ryan and Tom Cheney did it in extra innings.

    Here’s a few more numbers that further highlight this spectacular performance:
    Scherzer did it with 119 pitches. The least number of pitches by anyone else who fanned 20 was 125 pitches.
    Scherzer only threw 23 balls, the least ever in striking out 20. I believe the next fewest number of balls thrown to strike out 20 was 32.

    Ladies and gentlemen, that’s called ‘pounding the zone.’
    In the 9th Scherzer was throwing over 98 mph and punched out 2 batters.
    He struck out 11 on fastballs, 5 on sliders and 4 on changeups. 6 batters went down looking. 8 batters went down on only 3 pitches.
    Scherzer gave up 2 solo home runs and walked none.
    De-troit outfielder J.D. Martinez compared facing Scherzer to “a horror film.”

    Fun fact: the Tigers are Scherzer’s former team and the Tigers’ pitcher was former National Jordan Zimmerman, and he was dealing too. Both switched teams before last season began.

    Pisses me off.
    I had been thinking of going to the game but we’ve been getting a lot of rain so I passed. That’s a ticket stub I wish I had.
