It’s Mayor Bill de Blasio’s fault, said the cop.

Someone posted a video to YouTube this weekend appearing to show an NYPD officer giving some guy a ticket and then telling him it’s Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s fault.

The officer explains, “Mayor de Blasio wants us to give out summonses, okay?”

“I don’t know if you voted for him or not,” the officer said. “I wouldn’t have voted for him, ’cause this is what he wants.”

    Congrats officer. By interjecting a political statement into an enforcement action, and indicating that said action was motivated by politics you have just provided the defendant with an automatic dismissal.

      I hope it was worth it.

    What was the ticket for? If it was deserved, it’s part of the cop’s job. Why did he have to bring the mayor into it?

      because that’s how the fascists at the NYPBA disseminate propaganda and disinformation against their “enemies”.
      For this one incident, there are surely a pile of other unreported ones.
