Abramson: It will be Kasich/Rubio

Posted by | April 10, 2016 11:56 | Filed under: Opinion Politics

University of New Hampshire Professor Seth Abramson:

The Republican Party is more than smart enough to see that Cruz’s horrifying unfavorables — somehow, incredibly, worse than Clinton’s historically bad ones — will sink his candidacy, especially when coupled with terrible head-to-head polling against Clinton or (per usual, much more dramatically) Sanders.

Meanwhile, Kasich’s continued domination of Clinton in polling will convince Convention delegates — who value electability above all else — to put Kasich at the top of the ticket, and a known, reliable quantity like Rubio beside him.

a known, reliable quantity like Rubio …???

OK I’ll bite, I’ve lived in So Fl for Rubio’s entire term, please list a single accomplishment that could label him “a reliable quantity”

He missed 30% of the votes and voted against his own legislation.

He probably didn’t know he had sponsored it in the first place.

Using other people’s money is quite an accomplishment…

If it is a Kasich/Rubio ticket, nihlistic Cruz supporters will fracture the party.

Time to order up a complete buffet meal in the campaign 2016 observation gallery. Popcorn is no longer sufficient refreshment, given the scale of the impending GOP meltdown.

I wonder if Teddy would run an independent campaign.

Wow what an election that would be…

        Donald/Ivanka 2016
        Kasich/Rubio 2016
        Cruz/Jebus 2016

Against Hillary….should we even waste the money voting…???

That would be the ultimate irony.

The man who was the leading advocate of shutting down the federal government, ends up shutting down the Republican party.

Not to mention the Trump supporters who would urge a third party effort.

        As well as the democrats!

Get ready for Trump’s “passionate” supporters who will riot in the name of Trump!

Professor Abramson seems to have forgotten one thing. The voters.

    Each has one ONE primary.

Yeah, that’s gonna happen. Get real.
