Tony Blair: ‘Many Muslims’ At odds with ‘modern world’
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said “many millions” of Muslims hold a viewpoint that is “fundamentally incompatible with the modern world.” Blair, who supported the U.S. invasion of Iraq more than a decade ago, said the West would face “increasingly frequent acts of terrorism” unless there was concerted action to “defeat” an ideology of extremism.…

Seems to me many millions of Christians are at odds with the modern world as well, if they claim that god tells them what to do, like running for president.

I’ve said this before. If any of the GOP presidential candidate/s or right wing Xtians truly heard or had discussions with God, then they should be either canonized or institutionalized. I’m 100% for the latter!

“Seems to me many millions of Christians are at odds with the modern world as well”
FALSE
All muslim-majority nations lack freedoms, such as freedom of speech, freedom to practice any religion you want without fear of violence, freedom to leave a religion, equality for women, equality for minorities, including homosexuals. These are liberal principles that liberals applaud for, but then when you say in the Muslim world this is what’s lacking, then they get upset. This is illiberal, and borderline evil in its complacency.

Sounds like you are describing a lot of southern states

Thankfully, America has liberals which curtail southern people. muslim nations have no such force for good. for shame

The paradox of tolerance:
The paradox of tolerance states that unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.
We should therefore claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant. (shariah people)

I think there’s some truth in what he says about how some Muslims see their place in the world. I would place blame, if that’s the right word, on religious fundamentalism and it’s disdain for education, tribalism and poverty.

so are many of the AmeriKlan Kristians
‘specially them government officials that exempt themselves from doing their work ’cause of their religious beliefs of butting their nose into other people’s lives –
all while collecting their paychecks for being ‘persecuted’ …

I’ve had the unusual experience of having lived among Christian, Muslim and Hindu fundamentalists. (not at the same time!)
They all have beliefs incompatible with a modern world.
And they are remarkably similar.

I’m convinced that the problem with fundamentalism is conservatism, not religion.
If you put liberal Muslims and Christians together, they are fine with each other.

Let’s take this belief of his an apply right here in America and europe.
America…rural areas filled with poorly educated xtians who claim superiority because of skin color. They hate, attack and kill others they do not like, then say they are chosen by god.
Europe….poorly educated white people, take on the persona of hitler and claim xtianity and followers of god…because of skin color. They hate, attack and kill others.
