Note to self, get naked picture of myself taken, then make millions. I understand her privacy was violated, and yes that guy who did it is a pervert. But really $55 Million? There is nothing to be ashamed about regarding the female body. “The jurors took photos with Andrews after the amount was announced, and she signed autographs, according to reports from inside the courtroom.” Right, so we know it wasn’t about fame and fortune?

and you don’t get that in wrongful death cases.

      • CHOCOL8MILK March 7th, 2016 at 18:58

        Yup, and that is sad.

    • tracey marie March 7th, 2016 at 19:40

It is a privacy issue and more.

      • CHOCOL8MILK March 7th, 2016 at 19:46

True, but if she were a 37 year old man rather than a 37 year old woman who danced naked. We both know he would not get paid like she did.

“danced naked”…that was condescending and lacking in sympathy and understanding

I agree that the pervert guy should have gotten more jail time. But honestly $55 million for her naked body video? Barrett’s criminal actions are his own, it is not the hotels fault.

Yes it is, thay used old security measures.

A bit hefty in my opinion.

But to me, the real outrage is that the creep that took the photos only got two years. Two years? Eight to twelve minimum. And a pox on anyone who willing viewed the video.

    • tracey marie March 7th, 2016 at 19:40

What is too hefty, she lost her privacy and was shamed and harrassed…I say good for her. I worked for a company, the same thing happened to me. No internet exposure for me, but I still sued the company and the hotel. I won.

      • whatthe46 March 7th, 2016 at 20:47

55mil is way overboard in my opinion. but, whatever you won, i’m glad for you.

        • tracey marie March 7th, 2016 at 20:50

If it was you all over the internet, a complete and total loss of privacy and dignity…what is it worth?

          • whatthe46 March 7th, 2016 at 21:32

if i’m gonna be honest, not 55mil. that’s a pissed off figure. surely i have no problem with her receiving monies for what happened. but, in no way will i ever say, 55 mil was what she was entitled to. and tracey, i’m being honest. if anything, it’s a token statement from the jury. she will never collect 20+ mil from this perv, who deserves the time he’s received and then some. nor the 20+ mil from the hotel. women have been raped in hotels and are lucky if they receive millions in the single digits.

            • Hirightnow March 7th, 2016 at 23:02

She’ll be lucky to see $20 from Barrett.

        • Budda March 7th, 2016 at 22:22

For 5 million I’ll send you pictures of me…you’re right, 55 mil is too much. I’m sure it will be appealed down.

          • whatthe46 March 8th, 2016 at 00:22

lol. for 2.5mil i’ll send them to you.
