Evangelical leader EXPOSED as sexual abuser
Most people outside of the Christian fundamentalist world are not familiar with the name Bill Gothard, but within the Evangelisphere he is a big deal – the mastermind behind the movement’s influential Institute of Basic Life Principles.
Gothard, who is thisclose to the Duggar family of “19 Kids and Counting” fame, is being accused of forced labor and committing acts of sexual abuse.
Two women who are accusing an influential Christian preacher with ties to the Duggar family of sexual assault spoke out for the first time Thursday about their hellish years of forced labor and abuse in the cult-like organization.
Joy Simmons and Jennifer Spurlock are two of the many men and women who have made the horrifying accusations against Bill Gothard, who ran Institute in Basic Life Principles, saying they were deprived of an education, forced to work and were groped by the Christian leader.
“To have your education ripped from you and to have your childhood ripped from you, it’s extremely difficult. It’s just evil,” Spurlock, who spent three years as a minor at one of Gothard’s training centers, told the Daily News. …
The women are two of eight new plaintiffs who joined a lawsuit filed in DuPage County Court in Illinois against board members of the IBLP and Gothard, whose influence in the Evangelical Christian world was exemplified by his relationship with conservative politicians — Gothard was photographed with Huckabee at a campaign lunch during his 2008 presidential bid and former Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue spoke at one of his conferences. …
The women’s shocking allegations describe a disturbing culture within the organization in which Gothard would take troubled young men and women under his wing at the IBLP and then target them as victims of sexual abuse, rape and free labor for the bizarre organization.
We will spare you the disgusting details, but if you have the stomach, the full article rips off the scab and reveals the disease hiding below the surface of Gothard’s dogmatic cult.

SATAN has taken control of my spell check.
Every time I type “Gothard,” my Beelzebub-possessed Macbook changes it to “Got hard.”

Yer just lucky it’s not Asmodeus, who the Maleus Maleficarum calls the Demon of Lust, and is noted as one of the Seven Princes of Hell. He’s really juvenile.

This is why there is so much “homeschooling being pushed by the Christians.
Most of the “teachers” in these schools did not finish high school. Some, in Texas have been found to be criminals. And what is being taught? Who knows? No oversight, no regulations, clandestine – kids are indoctrinated so that even if they ever do get free they are marked for life.

aren’t most of them? there is only 2 reasons most conmen go with religion instead of other types of cons, because it is sooo easy and has zero oversight…there is no way to prove the product they are peddling even exists.
That is why convicted conmen like the ones who started the Mormon church and the Jehovah witnesses moved far away when they got out of jail and just switched their cons to religions, scrying stones for the Mormon guy and magic wheat for the JW guy.

Religion is a very lucrative business. There’s no production costs, as it costs nothing to threaten parishioners with eternal damnation – and it’s tax exempt. They pay no taxes whatsoever, even though they still have their noses in politics.

I was an Evangelical teen during the height of this guy’s popularity. Our youth group would go off to his seminars and come back with thick binders, telling us to slavishly obey our fathers.
I always found a way not to go. Gothard (and his followers!) gave me the creeps.

I’m a devout Baptist, and I go every Sunday morning with my wife and our daughters, but I have absolutely no tolerance for this stuff. Christ says we are supposed to care for the weakest among us, not molest, torture, and exploit them.
The “preachers” who do this are not only criminals, they’re sociopaths, cynics, and hypocrites, who very well that they are breaking not only civil and criminal laws, but the doctrine Christ Himself taught. If they aren’t judged in this world, they will be judged in the Next.

Many slimy scammers disguised as pastors. Religion is a business. The Bible says a church is not a fancy building but is a group people gathering to study the Word of GOD. The scum trick innocents.
