At 4:46pmEDT, MSNBC became the first news outlet to report that Chris Christie has suspended his presidential campaign. Up until that announcement, there had been no confirmation; the first clue that Christie would be bowing out came in a report in The Washington Times.

It’s about time..
Next is Carson.
tracey marie February 10th, 2016 at 12:36
Carson will stay till the bitter end, his ego and delusiona will not allow him to admit defeat. IMHO
Foundryman February 10th, 2016 at 13:07
Sort of like Baghdad Bob, remember him?…
tracey marie February 10th, 2016 at 13:11
lol, wow, I did not even think of that.
arc99 February 10th, 2016 at 13:29
I remember Baghdad Bob.
When informed of the advancing American forces, he said “we will roast their stomachs”.
The absolute disconnect between his boasts and the fact that sometimes he had difficulty being heard due to the sound of American artillery was truly priceless.

Buh-bye!
Guy Lauten February 10th, 2016 at 12:26
Aw, too bad. No more excuses not to deal with the multitude of criminal investigations he and his administration is now facing.
Foundryman February 10th, 2016 at 12:32
He needs to take Carson and Fiorina with him. maybe they can all meet over at Michelle Bachmanns for tea and a bible reading…

A bridge too far…

Maybe it was a little bit petty. But I put on my hazmat suit , went over to the Washington Times site which sourced this article and posted a comment. I pointed out that Gov.Christie, Gov. Brownback, Gov. Jindal and Gov. Snyder are all presiding over some major crisis.
Meanwhile Gov. Brown here in California has the state running like a well oiled machine. it makes for a fine morning when no spin whatsoever is needed to point out that when it comes to governing, the GOP is clueless.

fabulous comment…;)

You didn’t stick around to see their reaction?
TiredOldGuy February 10th, 2016 at 17:36
That would probably constitute masochism. If arc99 is into that, I do know a dominatrix and she would be much gentler than the Wash Times readers.
Bunya February 10th, 2016 at 13:54
Damn! I thought for sure Carly Fiorina would be the next to bow out. Oh well, it’s about time Christie figured out that his chances of winning the nomination are between slim and none.
dave-dr-gonzo February 10th, 2016 at 16:39
Christie has not made it official, and Fiorina did, so technically you are correct.
William February 10th, 2016 at 14:08
Buh Bye.

I’m torn…is it a good day or a bad day…the more the merrier in the GOP…better for the dems…maybe they are realizing this campaign is really between Bernie and HRC…;)
rg9rts February 10th, 2016 at 17:34
The bright side?? Barnum & Bailey’s is hiring
William February 11th, 2016 at 09:10
You should be torn. I have a good friend who immigrated here from a brutal, feudal, war torn country. He’s terrified Trump will become president.

WHUMP!!!!! the fat wheel falls off the circus train
