Texas? A Perry appointee? That should add some credibility to the RICO suit PP recently filed. It also might cause some sleepless nights for Daleiden.
And yet, Abbott throws even more TX taxpayer money down the crapper.

    • whatthe46 January 25th, 2016 at 20:12

yes! and i read that he’s still planning on investigating. stupid gives me a headache every time.

      • TiredOldGuy January 25th, 2016 at 20:33

They just can’t let the U.S. House of Reps Committee on PP outdo them … states’ rights and all that stuff.

        • whatthe46 January 25th, 2016 at 21:08

more like, states refusal to be shown the embarrassment that they truly are. and they’ll break the bank to continue with the embarrassment.

  2. Talibandrew Breitbot January 25th, 2016 at 19:37

The “Center for Medical Progress” [sic} reacts to the grand jury ruling:

    • whatthe46 January 25th, 2016 at 20:10

      that never gets old!

  3. Obewon January 25th, 2016 at 20:00

As of yet unindicted co-conspirator ‘Carly Fiorina is ready for Prison’-said her Husband, with glee. Felons David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt were indicted for tampering with a governmental record, a second-degree felony, and Daleiden was also indicted on the count of prohibition of the purchase and sale of human organs, a class A misdemeanor, according to the Harris County district attorney. Book’em Danno!

  4. Gina Bousquet January 25th, 2016 at 20:02

A decision to be celebrated. Finally!

  5. Budda January 25th, 2016 at 20:13

Good. Hope these blackmailers spend time in prison.

    • mea_mark January 25th, 2016 at 20:27

Up to 20 years for tampering with a governmental record. Republican DA, it must be very obvious and no way to get away with burying and hiding the evidence.

  6. Foundryman January 25th, 2016 at 20:18

Wouldn’t this be great if it turned out to be a harbinger that Texas is closer to turning blue than some think?

    • Tim Coolio January 25th, 2016 at 20:22

And when that happens the GOP will be locked out of the oval office.

      • Foundryman January 25th, 2016 at 20:28

        practically permanently…

      • Judgeforyourself37 January 26th, 2016 at 12:07

As they should be for many, many years to come.

    • Dwendt44 January 26th, 2016 at 00:03

You can bet the farm that the GOP will use every trick in the book to keep that from happening.

    • Mensa Member January 26th, 2016 at 09:38

      >> Texas is closer to turning blue than some think?

I’ve heard that Texas is already majority Democrat. It only goes red because of gerrymandering and voter suppression.

  7. Tim Coolio January 25th, 2016 at 20:23

Pro-lifers are not prolife, they are pro-not-wanting-to-spend-
    money-on-anyone-but-themselves, note the immediate lack
of concern for humans once they are born.

    • CandideThirtythree January 25th, 2016 at 23:24

They are also pro-war, pro-execution and pro-gun… But I disagree about their motives…they want complete control over other people’s lives and they want to hurt as many people as possible and that is why they are anti-choice.

I truly believe that they are monsters, without an ounce of humanity in the lot of them.

Normal people dislike abortion and wish it were not necessary but they mind their own business and understand that we do not live in a perfect world…. these monsters are out to hurt people, they get off on the control and power they have to destroy other people’s lives.

Think Timothy McVeigh and Jared Lee Loughner, both were very vocal about being anti-abortion then went on to murder children!!!

    • Mensa Member January 26th, 2016 at 09:34

      >> note the immediate lack of concern for humans once they are born.

They won’t even fund pre-natal healthcare for low income pregnant women.

    • Judgeforyourself37 January 26th, 2016 at 12:05

The “pro life” folks whom I know, are not “pro life,” they are “pro fetus,” and “pro birth.” After that fetus becomes a child, and has been born he/she and his/her mother must fend for themselves as these “pro fetus/pro birth” folks want to eliminate or cut back on SNAP, Section 8 Housing, Medicaid, CHIP or any program that may just mean that they pay some of their millions in increased taxes.
The “pro fetus”/”pro birth” individuals do not want “their tax money to pay for abortion as they say abortion kills.” I tell them I did not want my taxes to pay for the Viet Nam War, the Iraq War or the Afghan War, and those wars killed, too! They killed or maimed our brave service personnel as well as many, many innocent civilians!

  8. KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker January 25th, 2016 at 20:35

This is the best news I’ve heard all day!

  9. labman57 January 25th, 2016 at 21:37

Mindset of Daleiden and his fellow O’Keefe-esque propagandists at the ‘Center for Medical Progress’:

Ours is a righteous cause, and therefore we are are not beholden to state laws or the standard ethics of journalism and documentary production.

  10. William January 25th, 2016 at 22:06

Karma meets the rule of law.

  11. StoneyCurtisll January 25th, 2016 at 22:43

This will do nothing to stop the anti-abortion squads from telling the “human baby body parts for profit” lie..
    The damage is already done.
And the right wing will still try to defund planned parenthood…

    • Mensa Member January 26th, 2016 at 09:42

Sad but true. The ACORN video hit was proven to be a lie but the anti-ACORN rhetoric never ended.

Despite knowing it was a lie, the GOP still used it to kill ACORN and end the good work it was doing, especially for low-income African Americans.

It is hard to overstate how energizing this was for these slimey right wing operatives.

    • Judgeforyourself37 January 26th, 2016 at 11:59

This will slow down those dangerous right wing nuts but you are correct in your assumption that they have their own agenda, and will keep trying to limit access to a legal medical procedure.
This agenda only harms poor and lower middle class women and girls, as wealthy women could almost always, even before Roe v Wade, access a safe abortion.

  12. mistlesuede January 26th, 2016 at 00:18

Do we have any lawyers here? Will this decision help PP’s lawsuit against this fake organization “Center for Medical Progress?”

Interesting how the Governor and his flunkies in TX will continue to be Texasses on this.

    • Judgeforyourself37 January 26th, 2016 at 13:15

Now if we could close down those “Crisis Pregnancy Centers.” They are scammers who never tell a girl or woman all her options, such as the option of having an abortion.

      • mistlesuede January 26th, 2016 at 15:07

We have one of those places in our town. They always have ads in our little local newspaper and this past week had an almost full page article. Needless to say, I did not read it because it would have made me want to write a letter to the editor and they won’t print it unless your name is on it. :(

        • 6660splendidday January 26th, 2016 at 15:35

So put your name on it. If you believe in something, stand up for what you believe in. CRAZIES deal in fear….. this is eighty percent of their success.
          Don’t let them succeed.

          • mistlesuede January 26th, 2016 at 15:50

Before the holidays I wrote to an editor of another paper that has a column in our little paper here to let him know what I thought of his most recent column and the petty things he went after PO about. I made a very good point and linked for him something that proved he was not honest. He agreed, but he never print the retraction I asked for. He did ask me if he could have permission to put my original email in the letters to the editor of both papers and I said “no” for the same reason. I like keeping my privacy intact.
That particular experience ended up with us talking back and forth by email a few times until he tried to invite me to a hockey game to “try to solve the world’s problems.” YIKES! I stopped replying.
On Monday I received an email from him again. I have not responded. I can only imagine the fun I’d have if I opened myself up in the paper!
There is nothing to fear on this. But I live in a small town and enjoy a good reputation. I wouldn’t want to offend good folks that I otherwise like who might look at a women’s right to choose (in all cases) differently than I do.

            • 6660splendidday January 27th, 2016 at 22:05

Thanks so much for writing. I was born and raised in a small town.. I know how treacherous it can be to express an opinion that might not be popular with others. That is why I enjoy my computer so much.
I am a retired business woman, who, after many years working for a living can now write what I hope people will read. You would be surprised to know, however, how much flack one can get from some people on the Internet who don’t agree with my positions in life.

The Far-Right is always furious with me, following me around and trying to hack my Internet accounts. It seems they love the Constitution and the right to free speech, but all those goodies are just for them. Not anyone else. They are very hateful and vengeful people. What is so strange to me is the fact that I have found the more “Christianity” they boast about, the meaner they are.

              • mistlesuede January 28th, 2016 at 11:24

I can only imagine what you have gone through with people on the internet. I’ve heard some horror stories from friends and about other friends who were cloned, removed through no fault of their own other than a RWNJ hates them, stalked to a dangerous point and any other number of things. Are you currently having trouble?
Oh yes. They wrap themselves in God and Country, but it is only their version that is acceptable. There is nothing Godly in what they do to others to get things their way. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

                • 6660splendidday January 29th, 2016 at 15:56

Yes. Currently they have hacked my Twitter account. I know their “modus operand i” I can fix it. It is nothing but a temporary nuisance.
I will just come out more often and stronger. They are such cowards. Like the propaganda they vomit day in and day out about anything and everything they don’t like, These people are stupid. What else can you expect from people who live and breath hate and confusion, lies and tyranny? There are still a lot of decent people in this country who know the truth of what I am saying. A lot of Republicans are so put off with this craziness in their party they are

saying they will not vote again until these maggots are chased back into their manure piles.Problem with this is, however, for a country to survive and succedd we do need a two or three party system to be a viable demacracy. The Crazies want a Dictatorship.
                  We can’t let that happen.

                  • mistlesuede January 29th, 2016 at 17:15

Sorry about the hacking. That’s why I don’t use FB or Twitter even though many people have tried to encourage me to join.
I agree with you totally and if they elect Trump, they shall have their dictatorship.

  13. rg9rts January 26th, 2016 at 00:57

There must be a few sane people in Texas

    • Dwendt44 January 26th, 2016 at 11:25

      Around Austin and Houston mainly.

      • MerryMarjie January 26th, 2016 at 18:49

Don’t forget us out in the armpit of Texas! We’re still blue!

  14. Roctuna January 26th, 2016 at 08:10

Between this and the marijuana vote, I’m speechless.

  15. Mensa Member January 26th, 2016 at 09:31

The anti-ACORN scammers should have been prosecuted.

But they were’t and that encouraged more illegal behavior by these right wing operatives who think they are above the law.

    • 6660splendidday January 26th, 2016 at 15:18

Things are changing and this is the first of the great stand-ups against this
Faux Christianity and the trouble they have been causing in this country for about twenty years now. Putting the icing on the case of Planned Parenthood versus the Crazies is the fact that a lot of the people on this Grand Jury are Republicans, as is the District Attorney in Harris County. The Crazies are already hollering that the newspapers reporting this news are “betraying Christianity” They are such liars and damn fools, a sane person hardly knows how to deal with these people. Now they are attacking the newspapers for reporting the news. We must, however, not be crazy like they are. We should remember that not all Republicans are insane. We have had good Goverment under Republican and also Democrat majorities, it is just now, we have, in power, some CULTS that are truly beyond anything we can CALL “normal”
As a warning, I would say here, that this is probably going to get worse than better if we, as a Nation, elect a religious freak like Ted Cruz to the Presidency.. You don’t have to listen to me, just listen to him.

      • MerryMarjie January 26th, 2016 at 18:48

The religious people are crying, “War on Christianity!” at every opportunity. Something will come down soon, but I think we can withstand it and succeed in making this country free again.

  16. Larry Schmitt January 26th, 2016 at 11:33

Here’s what butthurt Huckleberry said: “It’s a sick day in America when our government punishes those who expose evil with a smartphone – while accommodating those who perform it with a scalpel.”

    • StoneyCurtisll January 26th, 2016 at 13:56

      I despise that man.

      • Larry Schmitt January 26th, 2016 at 14:02

What reasonable person wouldn’t. Hard to believe he was actually governor of a state.

      • MerryMarjie January 26th, 2016 at 18:46

        Ditto.

  17. circe801 January 26th, 2016 at 11:48

The videos were proven to be propaganda–deceptive, misleading, and FAKE. The GOP actually threatened to shut down the Government if federal funding continued, and the POTUS crumbled and gave them their way with NO COMPROMISE. Now, THIS?? These “Christians” must stop their LYING and intentional weaving of stories. Abortion has been legal for OVER 40 YEARS and it will not change–and it is NOT the SOLE PURPOSE of Planned Parenthood, Either they KNOW this, or are ignorant and unfortunate to dismiss or ignore the TRUTH about a VITAL HEALTH PROVIDER.

    • Judgeforyourself37 January 26th, 2016 at 13:13

Abortion has been “legal” in the US for over 40 years, but women who wished to terminate their pregnancies did so prior to Roe, but only wealthy women had access to a safe abortion. They either traveled to another country, or could go through the hoops to have a doctor perform the procedure due to the woman’s supposedly medical or psychological issues. Poor women resorted to any means possible to terminate, and often died in the process.
Abortion itself is as old as humans have existed on this planet, and will always be a choice that one in every three women will make. As a compassionate nation, this should mean that it should always be safe, legal, and readily accessible to all who so choose, and not just the wealthy women.

      • MerryMarjie January 26th, 2016 at 18:45

My friend used a coat hanger.

  18. Warman1138 January 26th, 2016 at 11:59

I’m surprised it hasn’t devolved into Obama’s fault already but other than that…..JUSTICE PREVAILS! HAH! Take that all you disingenuous, lying, fake Christian, right wing zealots and sycophants.

  19. jybarz January 26th, 2016 at 12:04

Sure hope these evil bastards get to pay a heavy fine and very long jail time in the end as a warning to rightwing conservative lying fraudulent wannabes.
I’d bet many in the GOP still believe the lies especially Fckabee and Fiorina. I’d say they think the lies are still worthwhile and helpful to their evil cause.

  20. Merlin January 26th, 2016 at 12:49

It is a pretty sad tale when Karmic justice is all we have left in this country.

    • MerryMarjie January 26th, 2016 at 18:44

I feel I should reply to you just as poetically, but perhaps, “Right-O!” will do.
