Easy guess… any Republican, of course!

    • mistlesuede January 22nd, 2016 at 12:29

      Probably not. :)

The next president will almost certainly get to appoint at least one, and possibly as many as three, Supreme Court Justice. Ginsburg, Scalia and Kennedy are 80 or close to it.

SCUSA decisions are often 5-4. Whoever gets appointed will be deciding on matters that affect the United States for decades. A single appointment could shift that balance. Three …

Who would Trump or Cruz select?

      • Gina Bousquet January 24th, 2016 at 13:46

        I don’t even want to imagine…

  2. JoseM4 January 22nd, 2016 at 14:13

Sarah Palin. But I won’t be surprised to see her on the ticket with Trump and being a heartbeat away from the office.

    • AKRNC February 9th, 2016 at 16:05

Would Trump really be that stupid as to select Palin as his V.P.? It’s a sure way to lose the election if he’s the nominee. Any Republican scares the hell out of me considering all they want to do to the country. No more Social Security, they’ll privatize it. They’ll also privatize the post office. Repeal Obamacare and replace it with NOTHING. No increase in minimum wage and worst of all, the Supreme Court will be dedidedly conservative for the remainder of our lifetime for the majority of us.

    • Richelle Mulka February 27th, 2016 at 08:14

Look on the bright side, with Palin as V.P. her incredible vision can be used to watch Putin’s every move in Russia !

  3. DownriverDem January 22nd, 2016 at 14:22

The thought of the repubs unloading their tons of money on Bernie if he gets the nomination is very scary. The repubs want Bernie to be the Dem nominee. They are chomping at the bit to destroy him. They do not want to run against Hillary.

    • jstsmlbrlcnsrvtvguy January 23rd, 2016 at 08:28

      • DownriverDem February 1st, 2016 at 11:03

Hello? You just don’t get what repubs will do to Bernie.

        • jstsmlbrlcnsrvtvguy February 1st, 2016 at 11:49

          Hi.

Expect you’re correct that they’ll unload tons of money. Of course they’ll spew lies and say mean things about the Democratic Party candidate. Some people will continue to fall for it, no doubt.

Us democrats need to get together behind the best (and strongest) candidate.

(which would hands-down be Senator Bernie Sanders, imho)

          • DownriverDem February 4th, 2016 at 13:46

No it’s Hillary. She very deep support of women and minorities. Yes, young women support Bernie, but nationally Hillary is ahead with a 19 point lead with women. Minorities support Hillary by huge margins. Bernie and Hillary split the white vote. It’s Hillary. Like it or not.

            • jstsmlbrlcnsrvtvguy February 4th, 2016 at 15:35

Must disagree. Now that “the media” can no longer keep pretending that Secretary Hillary Clinton is the only candidate in the race, people are getting to know, like, and support Senator Bernie Sanders. Guess we’ll see.

              • DownriverDem February 5th, 2016 at 22:05

All I’m saying is that a win in 2 90%+ white states (one that is next to Bernie) does not tell the whole story. The Dem Party is 40% white and 60% minority.

            • Robert Kennedy March 10th, 2016 at 01:54

But the states Hillary is winning are guaranteed red states in the general election which is worthless. Bernie beats every Republican hands down, with Hillary it’s touch and go.

        • maggie February 11th, 2016 at 02:21

          he’s probably a pseudo bernie supporter….

    • maggie February 11th, 2016 at 02:21

they are unloading money on him…but remember the koch bros tried to buy the 2012 election…and they couldn’t….exactly …they don’t want to run against HRC…

  4. Hirightnow January 22nd, 2016 at 16:06

Cruz, hands down; I don’t want to live in a theocracy, where the benevolent Pastor/President (Presidor? Pastident?) rules according to a glommed-together holy book, passing judgement and laws in the name of god. Nothing makes me shudder more than that thought, because when “God” is on your side, you can do no wrong, because everything you do is “God”‘s will.
Wanna kill some Muslims for the crime of being Muslim? Have at.
What about slavery? Bible says lots about how slaves should be obedient…must mean slavery is okay. Call out the militia and get those coloreds rounded up.

Stoning an unmarried woman because she’s pregnant? Peachy-keen in the eyes of “God”.
What? Those ferrin devils don’t believe in “God” the way we do? Well, let’s rain some holy fire down upon them! “God” calls for war lots of times in the Bible!

  5. Budda January 22nd, 2016 at 16:38

I’m surprised at all the anti Hillary votes. You want a Republican?

    • Candide Thirtythree January 23rd, 2016 at 07:42

It is only 4 people, probably our resident trolls…and we all know ho they are LOL.

    • DownriverDem January 28th, 2016 at 14:27

Many anti Hillary votes are actually from repubs. Repubs want Bernie to be the Dem nominee. They figure with all their money and Bernie’s socialist background going back decades, it will give them a win. They are counting on the polls that say a majority of voters will not vote for a socialist. So I think many Bernie supporters are actually repubs or politically naïve left leaners.

      • Robert Kennedy February 4th, 2016 at 15:44

But Bernie beats every Republican in polls with a larger lead than Hillary.

        • DownriverDem February 8th, 2016 at 11:24

Too early to believe polls like that. It’s state by state. That is where the race is won.

        • AKRNC February 9th, 2016 at 16:00

Those polls have all been done prior to any opposition research on Bernie by the GOP being outed. Once they let that b.s. fly, the polls will look different. The most important thing to do is to VOTE BLUE in November. Straight ticket BLUE! It’s our only chance for keeping our country moving in the right direction. With the very good possibility of 3 new SC Justices being appointed during the next President’s term, it’s more important than ever to have a Democratic President in the White House, whether it’s Hillary or Bernie.

        • maggie February 11th, 2016 at 02:19

yes but the cons are delusional in thinking that they could beat anyone….they are in such chaos

        • edsfarm March 9th, 2016 at 23:06

Yeah Bernie….Great choice. Turn America into a wasteland. Anybody sane on this site???

          • Robert Kennedy March 10th, 2016 at 01:52

Many, but you aren’t one of them.

  6. robert January 22nd, 2016 at 16:57

Trump would be an absolute disaster…. Heaven doesn’t want him and hell is afraid he will take over.
You cant ramp up a war on ISIL,build a huge wall and take back manufacturing jobs when the warehouses and manufacturing plants they were taken from are now out dated or torn down

i would like to say trump is smoking a joint but if he did ? He would probably kill everyone in the room when he was finished with it.

    • Suzanne McFly February 1st, 2016 at 19:31

Robert, I was with you until the joint comment. I have been in the presence of weed (that is all I will say) and I promise I have never seen a stoned person turn violent. Now crack might have that effect, never been around it myself but I have never heard good things about it.

      • robert February 5th, 2016 at 20:54

you must have missed it when trump said he always carries a gun

  7. libpatriot January 22nd, 2016 at 19:50

Ted Cruz would be the worst. Rick Santorum is a very close second-worst. Because everything either of them want would be “God’s will”. Cruz just edges out Santorum because his personality is more abrasive.

  8. Mike January 23rd, 2016 at 07:48

Cruz…he dreams of a theocracy and sees himself as High Priest. Completely batshitcrazy…

    • DogsRgoodpeople February 3rd, 2016 at 17:45

      yep

He’s clearly the worst and most dangerous of the lot.

  9. DownriverDem January 28th, 2016 at 14:24

I have waited my whole adult life to be able to vote for a qualified woman for president. I will proudly vote for Hillary in the Michigan primary. She knows politics and how it works. I have followed her since her work on the Watergate Hearings. All the years of negative attacks by repubs have done it’s work since many left learners keep repeating their talking points. I like Bernie (will vote for him if he gets the nomination), but he will not get his programs through a repub congress. I’ve seen their work on President Obama. The thought of repubs unloading on Bernie with all their money and all the stuff they have on him going back to the 1960s, will drive me crazy. If you look at the polls beyond Iowa and NH, Hillary has much more wider support.

  10. Talibandrew Breitbot February 10th, 2016 at 11:43

Who would I least like to see as president? The unctuous Ted Cruz. He is the illegitimate love child of Dr. Peter Venkman and Robert Tilton. He edges out “Jeb!” – who at least comes across as the asshole he is.

  11. HessenBalkan February 10th, 2016 at 16:32

I just hope Clinton doesn’t win…anyone by but her I must say.

    • tracey marie February 10th, 2016 at 16:42

      Go Hillary!

      • HessenBalkan February 10th, 2016 at 16:47

Lol…looking at it from the European view of course :-)

        • tracey marie February 10th, 2016 at 16:54

          :)…of course.

    • maggie February 11th, 2016 at 02:14

          Nice avatar Hessen. :)

    • MIndy O March 26th, 2016 at 11:14

I’ll take Clinton any day over any one in the GOP field.

  12. Duke Woolworth February 13th, 2016 at 06:46

I can’t pick among this entire field. The only one who wouldn’t avidly lead us into war is Sanders, and I don’t think he’s electable.

  13. oldfart February 23rd, 2016 at 11:31

The good news, that list has gotten smaller.
The bad news, tRump and the anchor babies are still there.

  14. Angelo_Frank February 23rd, 2016 at 18:53

Ted Cruz, Ted Cruz, Ted Cruz.

  15. bpollen February 25th, 2016 at 16:34

    David Fry?

  16. Jtoon March 17th, 2016 at 10:29

    Hillary

  17. Jeanne Rhodes-Moen March 20th, 2016 at 01:40

least likely? it is a toss up between Trump and Cruz… both are pretty evil, just in different ways…. Trump is too much like Hitler in his own Reality TV show, and Cruz is a religious zealot who doesn’t car that religion is supposed to stay out of Governing….

  18. osage March 24th, 2016 at 16:12

Ted Cruz, John Kasich then Donald Trump. It’s a BIG, BIG gamble that any Republican would prevent rather than cause further harm to the vast majority of American families. Cruz is a psychopath with a Messiah complex , Kasich is a Trojan Horse mercenary and Trump is a megalomaniac with a narcissistic personality disorder. Trying to decide which one I’d prefer is like asking me if I’d rather get hit by a 18-wheeler, a Greyhound bus or an asteroid. In each case, I’d be equally dead.

    • whatthe46 March 26th, 2016 at 00:02

      laughing.

    • MIndy O March 26th, 2016 at 11:13

Funny and pretty spot on descriptions of these characters.

  19. MIndy O March 25th, 2016 at 23:41

Worst choice: Donald Trump followed closely by Ted Cruz.

    • whatthe46 March 26th, 2016 at 00:01

worse than anything, the trash that supports them.

      • MIndy O March 26th, 2016 at 00:29

I wouldn’t go that far as to call all of them trash. I know a couple of people who like him and for the life of me, I can’t figure out how they come to the conclusion that he is fit to be President.
I don’t understand how they don’t see that he has no realistic, constitutional policy to handle our problems, that his information comes straight off of cable news shows and not in- depth investigation, how he doesn’t filter what comes out of his mouth and think of how it impacts the nation and world, how he lacks decorum and wisdom necessary for the job, how crude and offensive he is and how dangerous he could be because he doesn’t see his limitations and he fights with everyone.
They don’t notice that he filters absolutely everything and everyone in terms of how it/they support his image of being smart and important and how he absolutely cannot let a criticism get by him without revenge (Narcissistic Rage).

        • whatthe46 March 26th, 2016 at 01:18

anyone that supports trash, is trash. it’s disgusting to want someone like this who is nothing but an outright, lying, pos, racist, bigot and KKKlown friendly. if you support trash, you’re trash. IMHO.

          • MIndy O March 26th, 2016 at 11:12

I detest Trump but calling all people who support him trash is simple minded thinking even though the people who support him are likely simple minded. Still, it’s so confusing why people would support him, I suppose it easiest just to paint them with a broad brush, so I don’t mind all that much if you call them trash. I just don’t agree with that way of describing people as a group.
