Scott Stockert was set to appear in D.C. Superior Court on Friday on firearms charges for Wednesday’s incident at a Hampton Inn near the Washington Convention Center.

An officer responding to a tip from the Secret Service tracked down Stockert at the downtown D.C. hotel. He admitted that he had a shotgun and a rifle in his pickup truck, both unloaded, along with ammunition for the weapons, according to a police report.

It’s illegal to possess unregistered firearms in D.C.

The report said police also found a machete and a billy club.

    these maniacs are after everyone who is for gun control…I am regularly threatened for my pro gun control views…I am not at all surprised that the white house has to be constantly vigilant over these dangerous nuts

      You too? Last month I posted what I thought was a moderate comment on a discussion board about the need for access to better mental health treatment as one means of reducing gun violence. Some guy told me to shut up or I was gonna get my mouth shut for me. The comments were made via Facebook so I now who he was and he knows who I am. Very scary.

        I see now if you press on the link that reads “Poor Bo” it goes to NBC News. I’ve seen a report on Freak Out that goes to a CBS story, so I guess it’s legit.
        Now I have to say poor Bo. Hope they’ve added extra security and don’t let him leave the WH for grooming.

    This guy is clinically bipartisan , Take his guns , put an ankle bracelet on him, give him large doses of tranquilizers .
