It’s also possible it was just a fire alarm going off.

…televangelist Jim Bakker and radio host Rick Wiles launched into a discussion on the topic of pornography, which was abruptly stopped when a fire alarm sounded in Bakker’s television studios. Bakker, of course, promptly blamed the fire alarm on Satan.

“That’s a signal that the Devil’s mad,” Bakker said. “Whenever we hit a subject that really stirs hell and Satan, the fire alarm, that goes off, every time.”

      I actually became a fan of Tammy Faye, after her disgrace.

      As she was rejected by Christians, she remained embraced by the gay community and she responded with gratitude.

      It’s a fabulous story of grace. (adjective intended.)

      If you haven’t seen the documentary “The Eyes of Tammy Faye”, I recommend it.

          I’m not gay but I liked her for the same reason the gay community embraced her.

          She was such a over-the-top-yet-likable person. I think she got caught up in the whole Bakker fraud because she was dim-witted rather than corrupt.

        I’m a Christian and I have a strong belief in forgiveness and redemption.

        I don’t think Jim Bakker (or most criminals) should be punished forever.

        But if he was truly repentant, he would be a postman or an auto mechanic. And I would wish him well in it.

        Not another Christian TV figure!

          I’m not religious, yet I also believe in forgiveness if that person shows sincere repentance. Bakker does not fall into that category. and I doubt he ever will.
