ok people I am stuck in the dungeon in the game “amulet of time” if anyone knows how to get out let me know…the ghosts down there are making horrible noises….;)

    • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 19:40

never heard of it. where do i go to play sounds like a game i’d like to try.

      • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 19:54

it’s a free down load….I play it off line…try gameetop.com…it’s a who dune it mystery…(who murdered the king of france…16th century…you collect 12 amulet pieces…I get to the sixth piece…(it’s challenging) and anyway the key is stuck in the lock with no handle…and I apparently have the paper and wire…to get out but if keeps saying “that’s not the proper tool ” or this is not the proper time….I warn you it’s challenging…it’s search and find….to put together arcane puzzles collecting stuff and then putting them into the right empty spots…while solving a mystery…you have to collect bottles of poison at the pharmacy…you have to match a monogram ring but you have to collect lock codes…etc, etc, ….you can go away and come back…but …I just can’t figure out how to get out of the dungeon…;O

        • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 20:07

i clicked on your link, and i typed in “amulet of time” but what came up was “samuri jack: the amulet of time” for pc and there’s a charge for it. i didn’t see anything about a free download. i play a lot of those types of games on bigfish.com.

          • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 20:12

“Amulet of Time: Shadow of La Rochelle” that’s the full title…

            • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 20:14

my son just found it on google. he says what chapter are you on?

              • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 20:17

there are 12 amulet pieces…I get 6….and then there’s a dart game in the castle martial arts room that opens up a secret passage way…(to go to a second location to a meeting where the parties are planning the demise of the king…but it leads to the dungeon…I do everything that is asked and collect everything that is asked ..but when I go to unlock the door it won’t let me do it…I guess like chapter 6 or 7…out of 12…

                • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 20:30

did you get to the wardrobe with poisons?

                  • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 20:31

                    yep….collect all 3 elixers….

                • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 20:31

did you place the chess part yet?

                  • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 20:35

yep….I place the chess pieces just like I saw them on the big chess board when I was levitating….the dart game comes after you collect all the weapons, and it opens up the brick wall in the fire place….you are automatically transported to the dungeon

                    • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 20:39

ok. did you get to the skeleton in the corner?

                    • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 20:52

yes….I collected all the things and got the paper and the wire….then the hint says go to the door lock ….where the key is stuck in the door…

                    • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 21:00

ok. from the main view, open the left door closeup. use the sheet of paper on the area under the door. enter the lock zone and use a piece of the wire from the inventory on the keyhole. use the key on the lock to exit.

                    • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 21:08

that’s what I do…you know I try doing it in a different order….but I will try again….maybe it’s the fact that I got the order wrong on the first try….ok now I don’t have “the key” I have a piece of paper and a wire….is there a key? it says “what luck, the key is stuck in the lock (I presume with no handle…there isn’t one sticking out) maybe I am approaching it wrong…because I did try to use the wire first at first…but then I tried to put the paper under the door…(or the floor…) and nothing happens….then I get a thing saying “this is not the time for this” or “that is the wrong item” …so am I supposed to place the paper on the floor and then try the wire in the lock?

                    • Kick Frenzy November 7th, 2015 at 21:11

I have no idea what’s going on, but I’m guessing yes.
The point being that you use the wire to pop the key out of the other side of the lock, so it falls onto the paper, then you drag the paper out with the key on it.

                    • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 21:17

what’s a lock zoom zone? because that’s where you need to use a piece of the wire on the keyhole, then take the key. hahaha. google this game and then click on the site that says: general tips – chaper 1. it’s bigfishgames. when you click on it, it’ll will give you hints on every chapter. just scroll down. that will be likely more helpful to you since you will be able to see the images of where you’re stuck.

          • maggie November 7th, 2015 at 20:19

            I will try bigfish….thanks ;)

            • whatthe46 November 7th, 2015 at 20:27

i have over 100 games that i’ve downloaded. it’s a collection of over 6 yrs. they are not all free, but, if you’re new then you can get your first game for 2.99. i love time management games. those are my favorites. you get to play any game (unless they are like “specialty” games) for free for the 1st hour. trust me, you’ll want to get the game to continue. it’s like, you’ve got to get to the end.

              • maggie November 8th, 2015 at 09:26

sounds like fun…I am going to check it out…because…that’s not a lot on moola….I am still trying to get the dungeon key…no luck yet….there is another game company in seattle…that is the paying side of the one I am playing…..they have a deals for so many coins to play….I like to play offline…they warn you if your computer crashes offline your coins are lost….I am not quite sure if it means just the currently game you are playing you lose your coins or you lose all your coins period….I am going to look into it further….I don’t want to buy 120 bucks worth of coins (for say a years worth of play and then lose them all because the computer crashes) I am sure I am worried about nothing but I don’t know enough about computers to be completely sure….;) I will try bigfish….thanks again for your help. ;)

                • whatthe46 November 8th, 2015 at 13:54

i haven’t gotten to that part yet, but it seems like i’m getting close. i haven’t started yet, i just getting on the computer. i think i have about 30 mins of free play left. anyway, as for if the computer crashes, i’ve had to get my computer reset due to viruses before and crashes, but i don’t lose my games as all my purchases are saved from the site. i just have to go to my purchases and redown load them. it’s really quick. i do have to start each game i’ve played from the very beginning, which is fine because they are fun.

yeah…I have tried going back to the beginning….as well…so I am not quite sure what to think at this point….it’s an interesting game tho…;)

Ensuring equal time in the debates

Each podium used for a presidential debate should have a flat-screen
monitor attached to the front, oriented vertically, and displaying a large, red
rectangle whose height is proportional to the percentage of elapsed time that
the candidate has received. If the candidates are getting equal time, all bars
will be the same height. If someone is being shut out of the debate, it will be
manifestly apparent to the moderators and to the entire audience.

    • MyDogsAreSmarterThanYou November 13th, 2015 at 10:29

That sounds wonderful, but I think a better idea would be forcing participants to back up their BS, with credible sources.

Is this why fast food workers deserve $15 an hour?

    https://youtu.be/bfnxOlZxQfc

    • OldLefty November 10th, 2015 at 19:23

Why do CEO’s deserve Millions for tanking their companies?

    • bpollen November 11th, 2015 at 05:07

Please show me the profession that doesn’t have dickwads doing it.

Whatever you yourself do ain’t the one, that’s a given.

      • Red Eye Robot November 11th, 2015 at 06:05

Please show me the other industries where the employees are demanding government force their employers to double their pay.

        • bpollen November 11th, 2015 at 06:19

That’s really not pertinent to your claim that this guy proves that fast food workers don’t deserve $15 an hour. The so-called “demand” is a separate issue entirely, which makes your reply “deflection.”

So, since a dickwad is your proof that workers don’t deserve $15/hr, please show me the profession that doesn’t have dickwads. Otherwise you are saying that they don’t deserve $15 because they have dickwads like every other profession on the face of the earth. That would mean that Republican Presidential candidates aren’t worth $15 either. We won’t even go into how little Gohmert deserves.

          • MyDogsAreSmarterThanYou November 13th, 2015 at 10:20

Gohmert needs to be paying us.

      • burqa November 11th, 2015 at 19:49

He’s Gary on the Red Eye Radio show, which comes after midnight when they run anything cheap to fill time.
You shoulda heard them talking about how Rick Perry won the second debate. They kept it up for a few days until Perry dropped out.

If you post facts they don’t like on their FB page, they’ll delete you. They have control issues – they insist that callers who disagree with them use arguments they approve of to oppose them.

Their show goes 4 or 5 hours and they get only 2 or 3 callers per show.

    • burqa November 11th, 2015 at 20:00

Here and on your show, you never address the most important point, and that is whether an hour of work done for minimum wage is still worth what it was the last time the minimum wage was raised.
So, for example, presuming fast food joints still pay many employees minimum wage, should an hour of work sweeping the parking lot or manning the fry vats pay the same as it did back in the 1990s?
I think the pay for doing that job should be higher than it was 15 or 20 years ago.
Feel free to explain why it should be the same – or less, even.

      • Red Eye Robot November 11th, 2015 at 20:29

        My show?

        • burqa November 11th, 2015 at 22:07

Well, it may be regarded as Eric’s show, since you are less funny and far less original and are more of a sidekick. Not that you don’t have your moments – you do – but Eric Harley is the real talent.
You come here and elsewhere during show prep and then talk about your impregnable arguments but conveniently omit the fact that usually many points are made in rebuttal that you can’t handle and run away from.
On the show you talk over people, interrupt them and turn down the volume on their call to prevent them from making points you can’t handle. On your FB page you delete arguments you can’t rebut, too.

You gave yourself away long ago by posting points here you later made on the show. Anyone seeing your posts here and then listening to the show can see what I mean.

You don’t stick around here for point-counterpoint debate but hit-and-run for the same reason – you just can’t debate when you can’t control what the other person is saying.

One thing I get a kick out of is seeing the way Alan can take dozens of calls in the same time you guys can only take one.
Alan also doesn’t obsess for days over a call the way you guys do. It’s funny seeing you guys trying for days to rebut a point a caller makes you can’t handle.

          • Red Eye Robot November 11th, 2015 at 22:36

Um buy a clue already, there is a show on Fox News at 3am called Redeye, Alan has even been a guest on it. It began in 2007, myself and a variety of other people watch the show and comment on twitter while the show airs. Some of us have been doing this since about 2010, before that on a website called the activity pit. And on Greg Gutfelds old website The daily gut. I’m one of the longest participants, I started watching Red Eye in early 2008.
Riddle me this batman, how could I be doing a radio show while i am commenting on Twitter

            • burqa November 12th, 2015 at 12:50

Red Eye Radio has been on a lot longer than that.
The only time you post here is when Macnamara and Harley are doing show prep, according to th. Also according to Macnamara, it is at this time he trolls left-wing websites playing hit-and-run, just like you do.
Additionally, you occasionally will drop an unusual expression that Macnamara will use a few hours later on the Red Eye Radio show. It’s never the other way around. Since I first called you out on it you’ve tried to phrase things more conventionally, but that cat was already out of the bag.
You will occasionally post a humorous comment that Macnamara will repeat.
Your views on issues are identical, of course, and so are the ways in which you express your opinions on them. You use the same rationales and approach from the same direction.
As for your last point, I have heard many hosts comment on Twitter during their shows, including Alan.
If you were ever to watch Alan do his show, you would see he has a screen in front of him that has a Twittter feed.
When the Chat Room was going here, Alan had another screen displaying the Chat Room. We would watch the show and comment on it and occasionally Alan would talk back to us. He had a third screen, too, for callers.

You’re busted, caught trolling another host’s website, which I understand is considered to be a bit smarmy in the radio trade….

        • burqa November 11th, 2015 at 22:10

You ducked my point on the minimum wage.
Please explain why someone doing an hour of minimum wage-type work should be paid the same now that they were 15 or 20 years ago.

Same as it was 15 or 20 years ago? 15 years ago it was $5.15 an hour, 20 years ago it was $4.25.

            • burqa November 11th, 2015 at 22:23

Yeah, it has been a long time since the minimum wage was raised.

              1) Were you for or against those increases in the minimum wage?

              2) For the third time, please explain why you think a person performing an hour of minimum wage-type work should be paid the same today as they were back when the minimum wage was last raised.
Dance all you want, I’ll continue asking this question, since it has you stumped.

It is conceived and elaborated. The rules of the physical domain do not apply to the abstract domain. Math is abstract.

      • Apocalypse November 13th, 2015 at 01:57

Do you believe pi is abstract? http://phys.org/news/2015-11-derivation-pi-links-quantum-physics.html

        • Bradley EC November 13th, 2015 at 08:36

Yes. Four trees in a line does not mean that ”four” or ”a line” exist in physical reality.

          • Budda November 13th, 2015 at 09:42

But you just said they do…what am I missing?

            • Bradley EC November 13th, 2015 at 09:51

Try it this way. There is a tree. It is an oak tree. The name is not the name of the tree. It is the name of our idea of the tree. Trees in physical reality have no names. Only our ideas of trees have names.

              • Budda November 13th, 2015 at 10:18

Sometimes we over think things, you know; analyze, paralyze. If I see a tree and believe it is an oak tree that pretty much sums it up. Our perception is our reality. I can’t think of any more cliches at the moment so I’ll stop.

Yes, I am aware of this. Yet some see conspiracies everywhere and then there is the old..a butterfly in China causing hurricanes in South Carolina linkage.

Simplicity vs. complexity is most times the easiest, quickest and most accurate interpretation. An example; how many angels can fit on the head of a pin? Answer; none. The question is often the problem…not one of many answers one comes up with.

Far out, man, loik, you ever, loik, consider our galaxy inside our universe might be just a teensy element insoid an electron insoid a atom insoid a cell insoid another galaxy insoid another universe, and that universe was just a element insoid another another electron insoid another atom insoid another galaxy insoid another universe…. and we could, loik, time travel from one electron to the other if we had the right magnet and a good space suit and enough snacks to last like a big box of Jolly Ranchers and Doritos and lots of cheese dip but, loik, Oid have to feed moy cat before Oy left and we’d need a big bag of weed, hah ha! a big bag of weed, we’d take a big bag of weed and would have a big bag of weed and a big bag of weed and a big bag of weed…..

              • Apocalypse November 14th, 2015 at 21:32

The tree still exist as it is in reality…regardless of what you call it. The same way math works regardless of human terminology and language.

                • Bradley EC November 14th, 2015 at 22:37

The tree does exist. But look at two trees. Where is the number?

Please answer. Where is the number?

                    • Apocalypse November 16th, 2015 at 22:07

An early form of counting was using pebbles to match sheep, they had no name for the numbers…33 pebbles would match 33 sheep…that’s how they keep track of flocks. Names for numbers came latter. Of course names and language exist in our minds…as do all perceptions. however the things we perceive and name are not abstract inventions that only exist in our mind. If you want to believe that they are that fine…you can live in your imaginary world. Science does not care, we’ll still use math to explore physics, design technologies, make your computer work, genome research, and explore the universe. Mathematical equations proving relativity are not abstractions, they are representations of laws that show how space-time and gravity work. If it was just an abstraction nuclear reactors and matter colliders would not exist.

                    • Bradley EC November 16th, 2015 at 22:11

Do you also believe that if humanity ceased to exist and forests flourished that all the trees, plants and animals would still have all their names in all the languages? Where would these names be? And where would the numbers be of the 7,000 trees and the 500 tigers? Your philosophy is very primitive,. That you cannot differentiate between a number and the thing it describes is incredible in our times!

                    • Apocalypse November 16th, 2015 at 22:43

You have no understanding of basic concepts of language, cognition, and the evolution of human knowledge. I won’t bother with any more replies because you don’t have the comprehension skills to get it.

          • Apocalypse November 13th, 2015 at 14:05

Then reality must not be knowable by you. Thank go it is for the rest of us…there would be no technology without it.

          • burqa November 13th, 2015 at 14:30

Lemme try and throw a wrench into this.
In your case, the second usage of “four” would be a numeral whereas the first one would be a number, right?
            I forget stuff sometimes….

    • maggie November 14th, 2015 at 02:52

discovered…..the physical universe engages in math in my opinion….otherwise we would not be here…;)

    • Mike November 14th, 2015 at 10:56

      Interesting argument.

      I’ve always leaned towards discovery…

I’ve always thought of math as a way to understand or explain everything we know through measurement, whether it be distance, ratio, probability, proximity, correlation, etc…
The relationship between a circle, radias, and pi, has existed since the Big Bang, Archimedes merely discovered the relationship. The same could be said about Pythagorean Theorem or the Law of Cosines, they have always existed, someone discovered the relationship by attempting to measure the universe.

DONT tick off MMA ronda rousey !

“I slapped him across the face so hard my hand hurt,” Rousey wrote.

The ex-boyfriend doesn’t respond physically, but he blocks the door and refuses to move when Rousey tries to leave.

    “I
punched him in the face with a straight right, then a left hook. He
staggered back and fell against the door,” Rousey wrote. “… I slapped
him with my right hand. He still wouldn’t move. Then I grabbed him by
the neck of his hoodie, kneed him in the face and tossed him aside on
    the kitchen floor.”

    Rousey
goes on to write that the ex-boyfriend jumped in her car and, when he
wouldn’t get out, she hauled him out by the neck of his sweatshirt and
left him writhing on the sidewalk.

in a recent interview with billboard Mcartney says ‘ HELP’ was written about john lennon and his life long troubles

    “Help!” (Sept. 4, 1965)

After two years of breakneck recording and touring, Lennon was
unhappy in his marriage to his former college sweetheart and stuffed
with drugs. Tasked with writing a song for The Beatles’ second film, he
began to erase the band’s merry, dashing veneer with “Help!” “I turned
up at John’s house for a writing session,” recalls McCartney, “and saw
the opportunity to add a descant [melody in the second verse]. We
finished it quite quickly; we went downstairs and sang it to John’s wife
at the time, Cynthia, and a journalist he was friendly with called
Maureen Cleave. We were very pleased with ourselves.”

John Lennon’s Guitar Sells for $2.4M at Auction

Lennon later said, “I was fat and depressed, and I was crying out for
help,” though he also masked his misery with the song’s chirpy tempo.
Adds McCartney, “He didn’t say, ‘I’m now fat and I’m feeling miserable.’
He said, ‘When I was younger, so much younger than today.’ In other
words, he blustered his way through. We all felt the same way. But
looking back on it, John was always looking for help. He had [a
paranoia] that people died when he was around: His father left home when
John was 3, the uncle he lived with died later, then his mother died. I
think John’s whole life was a cry for help.”
