Lincoln Chafee Drops Out Of Prez Race

Posted by | October 23, 2015 09:00 | Filed under: Politics

The serious Democratic presidential field shrinks to three:

Former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee ended his long-shot bid for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination Friday, his campaign announced in a statement.

Chafee is set to speak on his decision momentarily at the DNC’s annual Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington.

“As you know I have been campaigning on a platform of Prosperity Through Peace,” Chafee is expected to say according to prepared remarks provided by the campaign. “But after much thought I have decided to end my campaign for president today. I would like to take this opportunity one last time to advocate for a chance be given to peace.”

The Democrat declared his presidential campaign in June, shortly after announcing that he had formed an exploratory committee.

Just think about all the memes and internet growth since that show ended!

“Serious democratic field?” Surely you jest. Another guy who wasn’t really in it drops out. This guy was so obscure, even his family didn’t realize he was running. Same with Webb, Walker, Perry. Jindal, Huckleberry are next.

He’s a good man with a good cause. He just picked the wrong place to go with it. He will find his notch one day.

I do hope his Give Peace a Chance time comes, but I think it will be after the total Collapse of the Republican Party.

Geez, only 3 on stage for the next debate… down from 5 at the first.
More time for them to speak, bu less variety to spice up the topics.

I say let Lawrence Lessig in, especially now that he’s said quitting after achieving his main goal was a dumb idea.
I don’t think he has a shot at winning, but I think his ideas would be a welcome voice on that stage.
(Plus, that would mean two people on stage who either support or aren’t adverse to legalizing marijuana!)

    platform of Prosperity Through Peace

LOVE the message, but to be honest, the messenger kind of creeped me out during the debate, which is the only time I have ever heard/seen him. He’s probably a good guy though, I wish him well.

If you have some free time and you wanna do something productive with it than you must read that. Everyone needs money but is there any safe and authentic way to do it online. There are some credible sources but they require huge effort but little output … I also struggled for almost 2 years to find something that I can do than this came into my knowledge … I am doing this online work for two years .. In start it was slow but with little time I settled in this..It is the nicest way to earn more and more money at home.$40h – $90h…how? part time or full time,I’ve been bringing in $82h… It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it out.
