Homework Assignment Calling KKK ‘Bad Guys’ Nixed After Parental Complaints
Parents of fifth graders at Clinton ElementarySchool in South Carolina complained when a teacher instructed students to create a “Wanted” poster for a KKK member.
One of the parents, Eric Robinson, remarked:
It’s okay to teach kids about hate groups…But to me she (the teacher) went too far with it.
It should be noted that the assignment was in compliance with state requirements, but school administrators still felt the need to speak to the teacher about being more careful with assignments in the future. The students did not have to complete the homework….READ MORE at LiberalAmerica

teachers and parents complained about discussions on Islam in world history classes and how blaming all muslims for the radicals is wrong. Hypocrites.

Hatred and racism is taught.
And in this case, haters and racists have stopped the teaching anything that confronts their hatred and racism.

I’d refuse to cancel the assignment, if I was the teacher, unless I got it in writing, signed by the principle. Then, I’d make sure EVERYONE knew I had capitulated under direct orders. I would also make it clear, to the principle and parents, that I was doing so under protest.
