Crosses Burned Into Mosque Lawn

Posted by | September 4, 2015 22:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Religion

Two crosses were burned into the lawn of a western New York mosque.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office says accelerant was poured on the lawn and ignited at the World Sufi Foundation Mosque in Carlton Thursday night.

Deputies are treating it as a bias crime.

It’s even more galling when you consider that Sufis are considered the most conscientiously peaceful Muslims of all. They’re like the Quakers of Islam.

More galling? Yes. Surprising? Not so much.

    • tracey marie September 4th, 2015 at 23:22

You are correct, the muslims came with money and man power to rebuild what hate had burned down.

      • Tommie September 4th, 2015 at 23:50

But yet we are suppose to hate them all but i don’t in fact i know some Muslims who come by my job and work hard for what they got and they have some nice cars and treat me with respect, so the Republicans can eat a d*ck!

      • Tommie September 4th, 2015 at 23:52

  6. fahvel September 5th, 2015 at 03:28

has bias become the american way to avoid appearing hateful towards the majority of folks who just don’t happen to be shiny whities with a cross on their door? It’s NOT bias. It is pure sick ignorant HATE.

  7. rg9rts September 5th, 2015 at 05:23

Now they too can join the catholics and jews and black churches as victims of your local klan chapter

    • Bunya September 5th, 2015 at 14:13

Muslims have always been persecuted, and by the Catholic church (see the Crusades). However, I can’t remember any time the church has been victimized by anybody, but I’ve heard much about young boys being victimized by priests.

Gee I guess you slept through the history of Rome class

        • Bunya September 6th, 2015 at 12:36

I must have, and the crusades, the inquisition and the systemic rape of little boys, never happened. It was all a bad dream, like the holocaust.
