Counter Jade Helm Organizer: ‘Anything Can Happen’

Posted by | July 17, 2015 09:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Radio Interviews

Pete Lanteri, running a “Counter Jade Helm” operation, told me he’s doing so to calm fears of a government takeover.  I asked him why he railed against “libs, conspiracy nuts and 90% of these useless f*cking Americans” (on a now-deleted Facebook page) and added “I can’t wait to kill thousands of these f*cks, man.”  His excuse is that he’s a hot headed Sicilian from New York. Just the kind of person you want with a gun, although he says no guns will be present from his group.

  2. rg9rts July 17th, 2015 at 09:29

How about a firefight with REAL soldiers

  3. OldLefty July 17th, 2015 at 09:35

Has anybody heard how our troops are doing in the war on Texas?

Have they captured any state houses yet?

    • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 12:09

You know those army guys. They’re hitting the Brothels First.

  4. Larry Schmitt July 17th, 2015 at 09:44

One of the things that could happen is he could get his a$$ shot. Those guys in the exercise know how to use their guns, they’re not phallic substitutes.

    • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 12:08

Giving this idiot a shot in the ass wouldn’t do any good. They haven’t invented an Anti-Stupid Vaccine yet.

      • Larry Schmitt July 17th, 2015 at 12:41

I didn’t mean his a$$ literally. I meant it as in, getting himself shot. If he got shot in the a$$, it would give him brain damage.

        • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 13:17

Send him back to Canada…that’s where he’s from.

How can you see what’s going on when your colon walls are covering your eyes ?

  7. greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 11:10

I agree with Mr. Lanteri about govt oversight, and the real question should be “Why not,” have citizen observers? Does the military have something to hide? If so why don’t they train on a base with suitable terrain where they have complete privacy? This is a large, complex and very expensive military maneuver conducted on American soil. Putting US troops in public areas puts civilians in danger.

Yesterday’s slaughter of 4 US Marines by a deranged Muslim at a recruitment station and a nearby military supply depot should leave you no doubt as to who the Muslim terrorists have in their sights.

    • Anomaly 100 July 17th, 2015 at 11:11

      Good grief.

      • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 11:32

Yea and these are allowed to run lose on the street and breed.

    • ExPFCWintergreen July 17th, 2015 at 11:27

The real question should be, “Why are so many right-wingers absolutely batshit crazy?” You know why the military doesn’t have civilian observers? Because they already do. It’s called “the Congress.”

      • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 11:33

“Congress?” this GOP/MIC controlled Congress… are you serious? I thought even liberals understood that.

        • ExPFCWintergreen July 17th, 2015 at 15:57

Since the moment the Constitution was ratified, the Legislative branch of the government has had oversight over the armed forces. You might not like the way it exercises that oversight, but be that as it may we don’t need a bunch of self-proclaimed “watchmen” gallivanting all over the countryside just because they’re looking for a justification for wearing the Dead Sexxee Tactical Wear they dropped last week’s paycheck on — much to certain dismay of their long-suffering spouses.

      • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 12:04

Because to call them Guano Crazy would eliminate most of them from understanding your comment.

    • Mike July 17th, 2015 at 12:20

C’mon Floyd, Lanteri isn’t about govt oversight..he’s a dangerous wingnut and you know it…he’s an anti-govt 3%er…a Racist and an Oath Keeper for Pete’s sake…his FB page is full of paranoid delusional fantasies that contain less than a gram of truth per pound.
Jade Helm is no secret and any citizen can film them if they want on public land…you’re getting as bad as Lanteri.
I’m losing respect for you Floyd, I thought you were a rational right winger (which is fine, I’m a lefty, but I’m not crazy)
Pick someone else (anyone else) to side with or I’m writing you off as a RWNJ.

      • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 12:39

I don’t know anymore about Lanteri than what’s been reported here… he went on a vulgar rant, but I’ve seen just as bad if not worse right here. He mentioned his fb page had been hacked by among others “libs” and he shut it down in response. So maybe what you saw wasn’t representative of him but your fellow liberals on their own rants. I do not know what you mean by “anti-govt 3%er.” What leads you to accuse him of being a “Racist?” I am also not familiar with “Oath Keeper?”
I’ll decide for my self who I side with, what I agree with and with without the slightest concern if you want to write me off about it.

        • Mike July 17th, 2015 at 13:07

If you’re unfamiliar with the terms I would suggest you Google them and find a few sources until you’re satisfied.
FB shut his page down…their internal search indicated all posts originated from his IP address and not from an outside hacker. (he has since admitted as much, claiming he was “hot headed”) As to the Racist claim, well if you go to his FB page you’ll find he is a member of one and sympathetic to a number of Christian White Warrior groups…that spells racist in my book. (it would be no different if he were Black and belonged to the Black Panther Movement)
One way to deal with vulgar posts directed towards you is to ignore them and never respond back, it seems to work for me.
BTW, that is a fallacious argument…because you see it here you accept it elsewhere and all Lib’s do it…I submit the proof right now that you and I have had a number of conversations where we don’t agree and yet neither of us has resorted to attacking the other.

          • greenfloyd July 19th, 2015 at 01:12

That’s an excellent suggestion… but none of them seem relevant or of any interests to me.

Mr. Lanteri does not appear to be “dangerous.” He and his crew went live several days ago, I haven’t seen any reports of incidents with these citizen observers.

The last I heard Lanteri on the radio said he removed the comments. However it really does not matter, when the environment gets too toxic somebody needs to clean up the mess. Lanteri also announced he was making his page “private.” I don’t use fb anymore, I waste my time here now :) Even so, I’d never take that as my only measure of a man’s character. Muchless publicly declare him a “racist.” But, that’s on you.

            • Mike July 19th, 2015 at 10:28

“…but none of them seem relevant or of any interests to me.”

Got it, you would rather trade in rumor and innuendo than spend a minute or two searching for facts…understandable, it’s getting to be your stock in trade. JMO

              • greenfloyd July 19th, 2015 at 11:40

With all due respect, Lanteri is “hot-headed,” as he told Alan the other night. I read his fb post which became a thread here recently. My only interest in him is “Counter Jade Helm.”

                • Mike July 19th, 2015 at 11:54

With all due respect discounting the facts pertaining to a persons motives, connections, or past actions, are somewhat like having a conversation about Hitler and “only” considering his paper hanging skills…an exercise in intellectual dishonesty.

(Cardinal George Mundelein of Chicago referred to Hitler as an “Austrian paperhanger” in a 1937 speech.)

Looks like Jade Helm went off without a hitch, no one had to die, and the FEMA camps are not filled with White Christian Warriors…too bad…:)

                  • greenfloyd July 19th, 2015 at 12:42

I think you are overreacting. You should take up your Hitler analogy with Lanteri himself, in person, if you want to be honest about it.

Jade Helm runs from July 15 to Sept 15. As far as FEMA camps or “White Christian Warriors” it has nothing to do with me or this discussion.

        • tracey marie July 17th, 2015 at 13:29

You seem to claim ignorance of common terms, you even have a blog for political purposes. You lie whenever you are backed into a corner, you know damn well what oath keepers means and what they are.

        • bpollen July 18th, 2015 at 18:24

“I am also not familiar with “Oath Keeper?”

Like with definitions, Google is your friend. Being on a computer and then whining about your ignorance doesn’t absolve you of anything, but it does make you look incredibly lazy… intellectually.

          • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 23:57

You don’t know either, do you?

            • bpollen July 19th, 2015 at 00:41

Actually, I am familiar with the Oath Keepers. I read. Watch the news. I guess you never heard of Cliven Bundy? Some of them came out to “protect” a thief.

    • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 13:30

Has the thought ever occurred to you that our enemies could be hiding in among the Texas Observers, as infiltrators, and using that cover to Spy on our military operations. No, I didn’t think so as you don’t get thoughts. You just get daily talking points from your Propaganda Minister.

      • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 00:14

All the more reason for putting Jade Helm back where it belongs, on a military base, far away from prying eyes…

        • whatthe46 July 18th, 2015 at 00:23

then you’re saying, all those that want to spy are crazy ass white folk, who have no business with a damn weapon? what you’re also saying is don’t piss them off because they just may in all likely hood go fk’n nuts. what you’re sayin’ is, they should not even own weapons, but since they do and likely illegally, don’t push their buttons. got cha. well, in the end, you’re saying, they are all paranoid freaks and you understand them. dude, you and they are some scary fricken parasites.

    • tfgray July 17th, 2015 at 18:18

Yesterday’s slaughter of 4 US Marines by a deranged Muslim at a recruitment station and a nearby military supply depot should clue you as to why they might want to train off a military base.

      • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 00:11

I don’t understand your reasoning. Please elaborate.

        • tfgray July 18th, 2015 at 07:48

You train for the terrain. If, as you say, attacks are likely to come at non-military sites, rife with civilians, then it would make sense to conduct your training under those conditions. However, it is important to understand that this is not a live-fire exercise.

          • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 09:07

So you seem to be suggesting it’s OK for the military to put civilians in harms way? Would you at least inform them of the danger they may be in… Jade Helm may not be live-fire, compounding the problem even more if the live-fire terrorists did attack.

At any rate I think, I hope this will be the beginning of the end for military recruitment and reducing the damaging impact of this war based economy and govt mind-set.

            • tfgray July 18th, 2015 at 12:07

Agree that a war-based economy needs to go the way of the dinos, but I think that your assumption that this exercise is about Rambo-style offensives may be inaccurate. Consider the possibility that this may be training in how to catch the bad guys and defuse situations before they erupt into violence. Which, of course, could apply to non-Muslim terrorists, which might be why the drown government in the bathtub crowd has its knickers in a twist.

              • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 12:34

We’re told it’s training for “overseas.” I don’t think I suggested “Rambo-style.” Frankly I have no idea what’s on the training calendar. And that’s where these “observers” might actually help us to better understand Jade Helm. I can only assume the training is for defensive puposes, I hope. Of course that implies we’ll be coming to the aid of another country. Ukraine? Iraq? Mexico?

  8. The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 11:30

Two days into Jade Helm. Is Texas still there ? Damn It !

    • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 11:35

Texas is still there and so are the citizen observers, without incident.

      • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 11:59

Hummmm, I guess it does take a little while to equip and train the soldiers in the use of Large Butterfly Nets. Ya just gotta round up and capture those Nuts.

        • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 12:05

I hope you understand you are arguing against govt transparency. Why do you object to citizen oversight? It’s our military, we pay for it.

          • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 13:25

Don’t get me wrong. I love the Texas Observers (?) . They are extremely entertaining. How else am I supposed to get my daily Laugh ?

          • tracey marie July 17th, 2015 at 13:31

transparency, it was not a secret.

      • The Original Just Me July 17th, 2015 at 13:22

The Observers don’t want to make the first move. That would make them look Stupid. OOPS ! Too late for that. They already look and sound stupid.

        • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 00:08

The “observers” have already made their move and have been open about their intentions and tactics… childish name calling changes nothing.

  9. Foundryman July 17th, 2015 at 11:47

They arrest people all the time for nothing in this country, why can’t this idiot and his flock of sheep be arrested for obstructing official business or inciting fear?

    • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 12:11

They are not doing anything illegal… Why don’t you want citizen oversight of the military?

      • Dwendt44 July 17th, 2015 at 12:13

We have civilian oversight. We have elected officials that take care of that responsibility. A couple of yahoos in Texas aren’t part of the chain of command.

        • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 12:17

Man suddenly all you liberals love Congress… What’s wrong with independent oversight?

          • tracey marie July 17th, 2015 at 13:32

“can’t wait to kill thousands of those f*cks”… just saying

          • Dwendt44 July 18th, 2015 at 01:24

Self appointed ‘observers’ rarely know what they are looking at or for. They aren’t trained, they don’t know what the plans are, and how to rate or evaluate what they do see. Then too, they have a tendency to blab, and the military doesn’t want important information about how, what, and when a exercise does to fall into the hands of any potential enemy.

            • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 01:56

You raise valid issues about observers’ training, knowledge and evaluation.

Do Lanteri and his observers have military experice? Lanteri is a former Marine with combat experience in Iraq. I suspect most of his observers are also vets.

Do they have a plan and format, apparetly they do and follow somekind of schedule of events to cover, or just walk around and see what ever there is to see. This group appears to be using popular media and social media. Just like millions of us do everyday.

From that point on it’s up to the viewer to accept or reject the message out of hand because of the messenger, or analyze the material and see where that may go. Frankly I doubt they’ll capture anything that we don’t already know or that it’s possible to learn with this approach.

              • bpollen July 18th, 2015 at 18:20

I’m a vet myself, and I can tell you from personal experience that you FREQUENTLY have no idea why Command does what they do, if it’s part of a plan, if it’s just a spur of the moment… Yet somehow being a vet means that you DO?

Are YOU a vet? Because it SURE doesn’t sound like it. Being a front-line grunt really doesn’t give you any insight into what goes on in a REMF’s head

                • floyd[@]greenfloyd.org July 18th, 2015 at 23:55

Obama is the Commander in Chief, he gets it! And is reducing the US miltry footprint and expense through prudent cuts. I don’t think he’s doing enough, but I’m for a radical shit from this decades long MIC, to a society based on peace and prosperity for all.

US Army, 2 years active, 4 yrears California National Guard, 1 tour Vietnam.

      • eyelashviper July 17th, 2015 at 13:30

        Vigilantes are not citizen oversight.

Anyone supporting these armed and unhinged miscreants should be ashamed.

      • tracey marie July 17th, 2015 at 13:34

threatening to kill others is a crime.

      • Foundryman July 17th, 2015 at 14:18

Because all this far right wing paranoia has gotten really old. They should put them all in jail until Jade Helm is over.

“I can’t wait to start killing thousands”????? Nothing illegal??Are you serious?

        • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 00:04

I am not defending Lanteri’s statement, it was vulgar and seriously undermines his credibility. Nonetheless I still have questions about Jade Helm and I want to see what he and his observers have to report.

It seems you’d like a police state and if you really want to see his popularity grow then arrest him for no reason other than he upsets you…

      • dewired4u July 17th, 2015 at 15:46

we have citizen oversight it’s called the U S government…..by the people for the people of the people……….

        • greenfloyd July 17th, 2015 at 23:53

So answer me this, who is or has sent someone to watch Jade Helm for Congress?

          • dewired4u July 18th, 2015 at 01:43

You need to study how our form of government works and then look up chain of command for the military. Any citizen can talk to an official of the military. there are thousands of military exercises every year and you want them to get your permission run it by you first that’s nuts.

            • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 02:05

Congress won’t send anybody to observe Jade Helm. They will read a report produced and approved by the Generals. But that’s not independent observations performed by private citizens organized for such purpose. You want the fox to guard the hen-house.

              • bpollen July 18th, 2015 at 18:15

I think you are totally lost here. Why should Congress send somebody to monitor a military exercise? Which is NORMAL behavior for an army… training is an intrinsic part of military readiness. Should they also send monitors for arms training, rate training, close order drill training, digging latrines training? Send R congressmen (cuz the D’s aren’t that stupid) to join training flights for new pilots? Strap an R House member to a soldier’s back before parachute training?

You are askeered because there’s a black man in the White House, and now things that were perfectly acceptable in previous administration are “suspicious.” The fact there is absolutely no evidence that Jade Helm is anything other than what it purports to be seems to feed INTO your paranoia.

Fear of a country invading ITSELF is irrational. Fear that normal behavior has now taken on ominous import is irrational. Belief that civilian observers could not only discern malicious intent but also DO something about it? That’s just stupid.

Army: “I know, let’s not let them SEE the invasion force. We can just have flashy stuff on the fringes of the exercise… kinda like waving keys in front of them.”

                • greenfloyd July 18th, 2015 at 23:42

I think it’s an excellent idea to have this Congress supervise the latrines… :)

I think military service should be a prerequisite for even running for Congress or the White House.

Fear of a warmongering CinC dragging us into unjust and wasteful wars, is a fact of our recent history. Ignore it at your own peril.

We are now on a course of dismantling the standing army, because Obama gets it! We have elections every four years and we still have a “conservative” SCOTUS.

              • dewired4u July 18th, 2015 at 20:13

who will be watching the watcher and who will be watching that watcher and who will be watching that watcher……

                • greenfloyd July 19th, 2015 at 00:01

That’s a rough aproxamation of how oversight should work… good work.

  11. eyelashviper July 17th, 2015 at 13:33

The numbers of raging ammosexuals, calling themselves “sovereign citizens”, militia, Oaf Keepers, etc. is a sure sign of lack of education and responsibiity in their ranks.
They are like a bunch of angry children out to wreak revenge upon the adults who set rules and regulations, often for their own protection.

  12. AnthonyLook July 17th, 2015 at 13:49

These people are insulting our Military men and women with their paranoia of the military of the United States; are they no longer Americans at heart is that why they are paranoid?

Alcoa is making special camo foil for the Jade Helm patriots
