Obama Pitches Deal: Will Make World Safer
President Obama pitched the Iran deal at a Wednesday news conference.
During a White House news conference, Obama said Congress, the public and various Middle East governments face “a fundamental choice” between closing pathways to Iranian nuclear weapons and the prospect of military action to stop an unrestricted weapons program and a Middle East arms race.
“This deal makes our country and the world safer and more secure,” Obama said, while the alternative endangers everybody.
“If we don’t choose wisely, I believe future generations will judge us harshly for letting this moment slip away,” Obama added.
The deal does not remove all the threats posed by Iran, Obama said, and the United States and its allies will continue to confront Iran over its support for terrorism and its efforts to wield influence on other countries in the Middle East.

The right prefers another war front to be opened and more dead Americans. Why they fight diplomacy is confusing and disheartening to say the least.

I wonder if any of the republitard critics have voiced their objections to France, China, Russia, or any of the other co signers to this agreement?

You are right, they share equally in the blame. For those you listed, it’s all about influence and making money.

And yet not nearly as much as those who created the Iran and the Middle East we see today;
The 1953 coup for Anglo Iranian Oil and the Bush family’s Carlyle Group.

I hear you. I have no love for the establishment Bush’s.

You believing everyone at the table of negotiations that excluded you is wrong is predictable, probably why you didn’t get invited.
When adults sit down at a table to discuss grownup issues, it’s for your own good, now eat your tots and nuggets.
The audacity of Obama, eh?

“It’s all about influence and making money” Please tell us JT about the Peace Industrial Complex that has been dominating western industry and foreign policy since the end of WWII. We’d love to hear about it. The money is being made by warmongers. While you’re at it, explain to us how war with Iran makes us safer. They will retaliate, probably in a very asymmetrical fashion, if we bomb their territory.

Its sad that most of the world looks at the US as being run by a bunch of out of control wing nuts …except Israel which is run by an out of control wing nut…YO…Gopee…we aint the only signatories of the agreement…You are making yourselves public asses AGAIN.

“Its sad that most of the world looks at the US as being run by a bunch of out of control wing nuts”. Yeah, now you finally admit that the Obama administration is a bunch of wing nuts. A little late, but at least it’s a start in the right direction.

And according to his own national security advisor Susan Rice it doesn’t. In an interview on CNN she said: “But yes, it is real, it is possible, and, in fact, we should expect that some portion of that money would go to the Iranian military and could potentially be used for the kinds of bad behavior that we have seen in the region up until now”. With that most likely possibility, how in heavens name does that make us safer?

What?! You want to negotiate control of the Iranian budget??? Get real.

As CEO of Halliburton, Mr. Cheney lobbied the Clinton administration to ease sanctions on Libya
As Vice President, Cheney led the National Energy Review which concluded in 2001 that the US should “level the playing field for US companies overseas” and recommended a comprehensive review of sanctions with consideration given to US “energy security
Iran acquired it’s 900 centrifuges during the Bush Cheney administration….but now…SUDDENLY
you’re concerned.
William July 16th, 2015 at 10:34
Until this President started this process, nobody seemed even interested in Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Except of course Dick Cheney who actually suggested the United States ease sanctions on Iran.
