Jeffress: America Is To Christians As Pre-Nazi Germany Was To Jews
Pastor Robert Jeffress compared the United States’ treatment of Christians to what was happening in pre-nazi Germany on my Tuesday night radio show.
COLMES: Do you believe that Christians are being marginalized in America?
JEFFRESS: Well, I certainly do. Again, we’re not having our heads chopped off like Christians in the Middle East by ISIS, but you’ve heard me say before, I think when you look at what happened in Germany, look the Nazis didn’t take the Jews to the crematorium immediately. They wouldn’t have been allowed to do that by the German citizens. What the Nazis did was a program of making the Jews the object of ridicule and contempt in the eyes of the German people, and only once they had marginalized them, were they able to take away their rights.
COLMES: Are you in any way shape or form, comparing the trajectory in this country to Nazi Germany, or pre-Nazi Germany?
JEFFRESS: Yes, pre-Holocaust Germany, I absolutely am.
COLMES: Really?
JEFFRESS: Yes.

You and your fellow faux xtians make a mockery of yourselves, your drama and babble is what makes people walk away shaking their heads and wondering why you are not in a mental institution. You are no victim but you are a liar.
Mike July 15th, 2015 at 11:18
You have just marginalized the pain and suffering of millions of Jews by giving this a$$hat a forum to spew his insane rhetoric…your mom would be proud Alan.

Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
arc99 July 15th, 2015 at 11:46
Alan, your next question should have been
‘Are you out of your f***ing mind?’

I guess I just don’t have enough hate in my heart to be a very good christian.

More accurately,
The American Christian Right is to REAL Christianity as pre-Nazi Germany was to Jews.
Still over the top, but more accurate.
Jeffrey Samuels July 16th, 2015 at 15:37
you might also say that the American Christian Right is to gay people what pre-nazi Germany was to the Jews.
OldLefty July 16th, 2015 at 17:21
Yep.
OldLefty July 16th, 2015 at 17:21
Yep.

Is there an unrevealed competition between Jeffress and Franklin Graham to see who can best imitate a hysterical schoolgirl?
veggiedude July 15th, 2015 at 13:48
There was no jews in the Nazi regime. The US government is well over 70% Christian. And yes, even the president is a Christian too.
tracey marie July 15th, 2015 at 15:15
the white supremacist meme is that hitler used gay people to torture and kill because they are immoral and deviant. Can you get anymore ignorant then that?
Bunya July 15th, 2015 at 13:49
Christians are being marginalized? By who? 83% of Americans are Christian.
I wonder if these people ever tire of feeling sorry for themselves.
whatthe46 July 15th, 2015 at 13:57
and most of the 83% pretend to be “christians.”
Dwendt44 July 15th, 2015 at 17:55
Point of order: christians are 71% of U.S. population.
Dwendt44 July 15th, 2015 at 17:56
I wonder how the majority gets to be persecuted.
Bunya July 16th, 2015 at 09:47
Here’s where I got my info from. Besides, if it’s only 71%, that’s still over half.

Jews were already the object of ridicule and contempt. National Socialism simply capitalized on already widespread and commonplace anti-Semitism in Austria and Germany.

Religious Freedom And You
in America
Religious freedom in America guarantees that everyone is free to practice whatever religion they wish without interference from the US Government. It guarantees that
the government cannot endorse an official State Religion which protects the minority from the religious tyranny of the majority.
It does not guarantee one the right to use their own religion as both shield, and sword against those that don’t share their faith. It does not give one the right to
insist that everyone follow the tenets, and teachings of their faith.
If your church teaches you that gay marriage is against the will of some entity that they
worship (most commonly “god” in America) the answer is simple, don’t marry someone of the same sex. It matters not to everyone outside your belief system what you believe, they have a right to their own beliefs. The lives of other people really aren’t
your concern, and it only makes you look like complete assholes when you cry, and march about in protest insisting that the laws of the nation be based on your personal beliefs. It doesn’t work that way. The same concept applies to abortion or any other thing you are so fond of squealing about. If your “god” tells you that it’s wrong then don’t get an abortion, but you have neither the right nor the freedom to impose your beliefs on those outside your faith. None
Your religious beliefs are just that your religious beliefs. That’s fine, you are welcome
to believe whatever tales of the supernatural your heart desires, with the caveat that they are only recognized as your beliefs, not the law of the land. The concept is not that hard to understand yet many of you remain aggressively obtuse, unwilling to comprehend or attempt to understand anything that goes against your ingrained
beliefs.
In your good book there are a few passages that tell the faithful how, and where they should express their faith. For example:
Matthew 6:6 KingJames Bible
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
New International Version
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
American Standard Version
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret shall recompense thee.
Are you starting to see a pattern yet? Your own “savior” has told you in terms that are quite clear to keep that crap to yourself, yet those who call themselves “Christians” marking themselves as followers of his teachings routinely ignore his teachings. They basically have told their “savior” to blow it out his ass, they will pray, and preach as they damn well please.
Let’s continue.
Mark 6:46 After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray.
Matthew 14:23
“And when he had sent the
multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when
the evening was come, he was there alone.”
John 6:15
“he departed again into a mountain himself alone.”
I’m sorry to inform you that you folks are doing it all wrong, and in direct, and blatant opposition to what your pal Jesus instructed. Your public displays of faith are against everything he told you.
Judge not lest ye be judged. Sit down, shut the f*ck up, and have a coke. Believe whatever particular fairy tale you wish, but you cannot insist that others bend over to conform to your beliefs. You do not have the right to place your Christian boots upon the necks of every American. We really shouldn’t have to explain this time, and time again. Grow the hell up.
dluch July 16th, 2015 at 07:50
you know, of course, that rational logic falls on the deaf ears of the delusional
‘believers’
Dwendt44 July 16th, 2015 at 13:30
Since when have christians cared what the bible says?
SmotPoker July 16th, 2015 at 13:40
Indeed. I see them all as Anti-Christians since they never do as their chosen “savior” told them to behave. Feed the poor? Hell no. Care for the sick? Nope. Pray in secret in a closet. Too cramped, it’s dark, and there might be spiders, so no. They absolutely love them some money changers.
The Anti-Christ is alive, and well. Who knew that there would be so many of them?
Nick Vanocur July 16th, 2015 at 13:46
Well put!
Jeffrey Samuels July 16th, 2015 at 15:35
This man has no clue how Jews were treated in Pre ww2 Germany. Are Christians forced to wear crosses on their clothing? Are their businesses physically trashed by crowds? Are they physically threatened on the street? Are their assets confiscated?
In a land where churches are tax exempt, Christian holidays are legal American Holidays, churches sponsor their own hospitals and schools, his comparison is insulting to anyone who lived through that horror. Someone needs to take him to the holocaust museum and show him what it was really like.
