Coulter: ‘The People’ Want Trump For President

Posted by | July 11, 2015 13:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Radio Interviews

Ann Coulter spoke to me Friday night just before attending a dinner headlining Donald Trump in Los Angeles. She said Trump is now the one “the people” want to be President in 2016.

I confronted Ann with comments she once made about Trump in which she called him “a clown.” Ann replied that “now he is magnificent” and “we all make mistakes.” Ann also said that she’s happy Trump is pushing immigration to the forefront of the 2016 race, and she expressed her disappointment in Republicans who she said only get tough on immigration during an election cycle.

I also challenged her contention that, because of crime rates among undocumented immigrants in California, there is a huge problem with the undocumented. She uses one state to make a case, when nationally, the crime rate among the undocumented is not higher than among the general American population. She conveniently doesn’t include in her numbers border states like Texas and Arizona.

Uh, Ann … that’s what elections are for. Odds are that the Donald will plummet in the polls long before the primary season ends next year.

    • Mike July 11th, 2015 at 14:09

He’s got about a hundred or so days left until he must file financials…he’ll drop out in 1st place claiming for the next 4 years he could have been president if he really wanted to but he changed his mind …

  2. whatthe46 July 11th, 2015 at 13:07

well ami surprised? nope. idiot’s love idiot’s.

  3. William July 11th, 2015 at 13:12

    Sure Ann, whatever you say.

  4. Suzanne McFly July 11th, 2015 at 13:13

You should’ve asked her to name 5 people who are for trump? I wonder how much she got to support him.

    • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 13:23

Let’s see, O’Reilly, Stuart Varney, her, tRump, and Megyn Kelly.

      • Suzanne McFly July 11th, 2015 at 13:24

Okay, 5 people who are not paid by the faux entertainment network.

        • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 13:25

Now, you can’t go changing the rules on me. That’s too hard.

          • Suzanne McFly July 11th, 2015 at 13:25

Well I didn’t think you would use that huge loop hole against me.

            • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 13:27

If in some alternate universe he won, would they change the name of the network to tRump News? And he would put gold faucets in all the bathrooms, and it would go bankrupt in a year.

              • Suzanne McFly July 11th, 2015 at 13:28

Yes he would, why change? It has worked for him so far.

                • Carolina Gonzalez July 11th, 2015 at 13:58

lmbao!!!! Here is how the oval office would look like. Everything will be gold to match that thing on top of his head….hahahahaha

                  • Suzanne McFly July 11th, 2015 at 14:36

Ugh, that is exactly how I would picture it, I am glad that would never happen.

                  • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 14:41

Fortunately, unless he builds a set for another reality TV series that I won’t watch, he’ll never get near that room.

                  • greenfloyd July 12th, 2015 at 05:56

                    I prefer green.

    • greenfloyd July 12th, 2015 at 05:55

Today all she would have to do is point to the crowd who came to see him in Las Vegas. A few more than 5 were in attendance.

      • Suzanne McFly July 12th, 2015 at 08:06

There is over 5,000 in Phoenix, they heard on rush’s show he was going to be there.

  5. William July 11th, 2015 at 13:14

I wonder how he’s polling in East LA?

    • rhzszm July 11th, 2015 at 18:42

I bet he’s polling great among Americans of Hispanic/Latino descent. It might be hard for you divisive, race-baiting liberals to understand but, just like all Americans, they don’t want MS-13 gang members and criminal foreign national invaders from South American hellholes coming over here to drug up their sons and rape their daughters either. Remember, they ran from that pace.

You guys would like to make it sound like Jewish people would support Bernie Madoff because he’s Jewish or black people would support rioting thugs in Baltimore just because of their skin color. You need to start looking beyond skin color and understanding that genuine Americans think first about what’s right for America, not just what’s right for a particular race or ethnic group.

      • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 18:44

You haven’t been following the news lately, have you? Been hiding in your mom’s basement? “I bet he’s polling great among Americans of Hispanic/Latino descent.” That’s the funniest thing I’ve read today.

      • ChrisVosburg July 11th, 2015 at 18:44

Oh yeah, latinos love Donald Trump. Salud!

      • jasperjava July 11th, 2015 at 18:48

Yeah, people love to be called rapists and murderers. That’s the way to get their vote.

        • rhzszm July 11th, 2015 at 19:05

By law, voting is for U.S. citizens only. All other votes are felony fraud punishable by at least a year in prison.

The Democrat party’s hatred for and disdain of Americans’ intelligence will do them in.

          • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 19:16

People who come here illegally are not interested in voting. There are so few cases of voter fraud they can barely be counted. And the naturalized (that means American citizens) Hispanics are not going to vote for someone who calls their relatives and friends criminals and rapists. We have disdain for those who lack intelligence.

            • Chinese Democracy July 12th, 2015 at 02:47

the fear and racism has literally driven them insane lol

His hair is on fire .. panic has ensued

          • Obewon July 11th, 2015 at 19:16

From 2000 to 2010 of 400 M+ votes, just 33 were convicted of voter fraud.

Because GWB’s HAVA requires every registered voter to provide a USA certified Birth Certificate or a Federal picture ID, matching signature and address, obtained only via certified Birth Certificate, plus proof of residency.

Your GOP candidates lost 5 of the past 6 POTUS popular votes because today’s GOP fantasies are too easy to debunk with reality.

          • BigDumbWhiteGuy July 11th, 2015 at 19:23

I’m glad you spelled that out for us. Who knew that voting illegally is against the law.
Donald Trump and Ann Coulter don’t care if Mexicans are here legally or not. They believe they are unfit to be here simply because of being Mexican.

            • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 19:25

Also because they know most of them will vote Democratic.

          • jasperjava July 11th, 2015 at 19:25

And you don’t think citizens of Hispanic descent were insulted by Trump’s comments?

Go ahead and keep defending him. Hispanic voters will remember how Republicans think of them.

            • rhzszm July 11th, 2015 at 19:30

Americans of Latin descent will support a candidate who will secure the border. It’s in their best interests, they’re not stupid like you make them out to be.

The problem with liberals is they’ve lost so much of their humanity they can no longer empathize with common interests.

              • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 19:33

You’re demented if you think any of them will vote for this hater. And what makes you think he can secure the border? His solution is to “build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.” That doesn’t sound rational to me.

                • rhzszm July 11th, 2015 at 19:55

First, even getting a candidate to talk about securing the border in this political “correctness”-crippled climate is a step in the right direction. As for the business terms, he’s starting with America’s self-interests first. I like that in a candidate.

It’s a shame what diplomacy has come to in America. The president of Honduras had the gall to come to DC and propose American taxpayers give his crappy country $10B in aid so they would stop coming over the border instead of building a fence. That’s blackmail.

                  • Obewon July 11th, 2015 at 20:48

Google debunks your faux news via “53 results” from never heard of whackjobs “The president of Honduras had the gall to come to DC and propose American taxpayers give his crappy country $10B in aid”-53 home made websites agree with you. Lol!

You claimed above Honduras is “Blackmailing” ‘the USA’. Thanks for your link debunking your errant claims. Hernandez said.

“It could be ($2 billion a year), it could be a little more,” he told Reuters, speaking in Spanish. But U.S. officials have not said how much they will invest, he added. Another RWNJ fantasy debunked.

                    • rhzszm July 11th, 2015 at 22:37

Yeah, that was my characterization. Honduras wants $10B+ from the USA to stop invading us. Their GDP was $18.5B in 2013. They’re trying to take us to the cleaners.

                    • William July 12th, 2015 at 02:50

Wow. Posting a link to debunk your own paranoid post.

In a way the Honduran govt is doing what many of its citizens are doing, coming to America and gaming the system! It’s a hoot, if it weren’t so damn sad, the govt there can’t even control its capital city, something like one murder every 30 seconds, I believe I read. Of course America is not far behind. International Gangsta-culture is the bitch!

              • Chinese Democracy July 12th, 2015 at 02:43

Why has it taken so long to “secure the border”? Cheap labor wouldnt factor into it would it?

Agreed, I have no common interest with genuine Americans like you.

And thankfully neither does the majority of Americans of all races

“Democrat party”: pretty funny to see a right-wing knuckle-dragger talk about disdain for intelligence, when he doesn’t even know the difference between a noun and an adjective.

You need to stop comparing undocumented immigrants to rioting thugs or foreign invaders.

Genuine Americans? That has zero meaning. Its something some radio host would toss out to his ignorant listeners for a little ratings boost on the day.

THIS IS WHAT WE don’t as Americans want in this country and they are far worse than any MS-13:

How many groups exist and are worse than the children immigrating or ISIS?

“Reliable data is hard to come by, as you would expect from a mostly underground culture. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) tracks extremist groups across the US – the majority of which are white supremacist – and estimates there were 784 active groups in 2014. In South Carolina, there were 19 groups, including the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and the League of the South.”

        read it and weap bitch.

Since 9/11, right-wing extremists attacks average 337 per year compared with nine per year by Muslim Americans. Other studies using different methodology also show significantly more far-right than jihadist attacks. The University of Maryland found 65 attacks by right-wing extremists compared with 24 by Muslim extremists.

To give a sense of how diverse the threat is, the FBI has even warned that law enforcement may be infiltrated by the far right.

want more? then read it here: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-33198061

      • greenfloyd July 12th, 2015 at 05:35

I think that was very well considered reply to William. Although you are sure to catch hell for it. :)

Trump never had the liberal Mexican vote, and he obviously does not care. Conservative Hispanics will remain as they have for decades, loyal Republicans (as long as it protects their businesses and fits their religious agendas). They may flinch at his crudeness and hopefully complain, but they won’t bolt.

I think Trump is a flash in the pan, a momentary trend that will fade because, well Trump is Trump, 2016’s Sara Palin. Simply not Presidential material. And then there is the very cash-rich Jeb Bush with his Mexican wife. That’s actually the best Rs can do in regards to the Mexican vote, and it’s not insignificant. But still not enough to come near Mrs. Clinton, at least at this point.

  9. whatthe46 July 11th, 2015 at 14:04

so he’s ahead 15% in the polls. it’s likely the birther polls. just like the birther poll that was taken about whether or not Obama was born in Hawaii. 20% believe that he was born in Hawaii, but did not believe that Hawaii is part of the United States. i would suggest that those 15% came from those such ignorant fools. which is why it doesn’t matter. we have our dummies that’s for sure.

    • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 14:15

Back when the Olympics were in Atlanta, a New Mexico businessman called to get tickets, and when he gave his NM address, the operator told him he would have to call his nation’s Olympic committee to get tickets. He tried several times to explain that NM is in the US, but failed. He finally got his office in Phoenix to call, and he got his tickets. So you’re right, we have our dummies.

The little plastic one she always has her feet on. I know it’s not because she’s short and the set is designed to make her look taller, she’s like 5’7″. She keeps the knees tight too, so no ‘peek a boo’.

I’m not expert on women’s hair color, but the roots seem dark and I generally go by the eye brows.

I know what you mean about checking the eyebrows. If their eyes are open wide and their eyebrows are arched way up, Ya just know Ya got caught peeking.

much like a poster on another site, raving about (it’s a male by the way) tRump and that he’s better looking than the old hag Hillary. i had to let him have it of course. about ignorance and why he shouldn’t be allowed to vote. then clear up a few facts. then suggest he must look like some serious nasty shit, if he thinks tRump is good looking. wth?

I agree. Women have to be pretty dumb to talk to me or at least it seems that way, judging from the ones who have talked to me.

I saw Coulter in a restaurant in LA.. She was sitting at a table full of gay guys just laughing it up. I dunno how much she says she believes and how much is a kinetic art project to make money.

        • The Original Just Me July 11th, 2015 at 20:49

She is just like Rush, Sean, and Bill. She will say what ever THEY pay her to say.

Sounds like Ann’s angling for the vice-presidential slot, and I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

She will have to have Sarah rubbed out first.

      • Dwendt44 July 12th, 2015 at 11:46

Sarah is rubbing herself out. Just let her keep talking; she’ll talk herself further into irrelevance.

        • The Original Just Me July 12th, 2015 at 12:10

I can’t believe I’m going to say this but here it is. Does she do this rubbing out thing at night ? Okay, I’m bad, I’m SOOO bad.

They deserve each other….even carnally….but then again it a very open question as to what Ms./Mr. Coulter’s gender really is. (look up the word “hermaphrodite”, everybody.)

    Social security: broke.
    Medicare/Medicaid: broke.
    Obamacare: breaking us.
    $18T debt.

A so-called “middle class” dependent on government services, subsidies, tax breaks, bailouts and/or employment its entire life.

A nation whose leaders are afraid to speak out against communism, homosexuality and criminal foreign national invasion.

At least the Don has some experience dealing with bankruptcies.

    • Obewon July 11th, 2015 at 18:15

Fired gameshow host Donnie’s 5+ bankruptcies debunk you, as does today’s CBO: ‘$1.5T+ federal deficit reducing’-ACA, 62% support. Nice try but all your plans fizzled.

      • Dwendt44 July 12th, 2015 at 11:44

The only reason Social Security and Medicare are running low on money is because Republicans have blocked every effort to improve and extend them.
Raising the cap, or removing it entirely would insure SS and Medicare forever.

        • SteveD July 12th, 2015 at 20:41

Money is not physical. So you want to shore up SS or Medicare to the tune of say 3 trillion? The federal government has authority to credit its reserve account(s) and debit its securities account(s). Voila. D.O.N.E. Three trillion new US “dollars” in the SS trust fund.

        • Elliot J. Stamler July 16th, 2015 at 16:48

I fully agree; that is the smartest way to stabilize ss for the long run and far superior to means-testing or mandatorily raising the eligibility age. At present the caps represent a perfect example of regressive taxation.

    • Larry Schmitt July 11th, 2015 at 18:22

“some experience dealing with bankruptcies.” Kinda like saying someone with a lobotomy has experience with brain surgery. Not exactly the kind of experience that’s helpful. Why do our leaders need to speak out against homosexuality, and who is afraid to speak out against communism, and what criminal foreign national invasion are you talking about? Have you been watching the Godfather again?

    • greenfloyd July 12th, 2015 at 04:42

Of course that’s just another reason to not support his run for President. That’s his and the RNC’s main problem: they think govt should be run like a business, or be abolished altogether. It’s nuts and we’ve been there, done that, it almost wreaked us and probably would have, if it hadn’t been for a Democrat saving the day. Again!

    • SteveD July 12th, 2015 at 20:31

The U.S. government is the God of the dollar. The government originally wrote the laws that created the dollar. Thus, like God, the government created the dollar from N.O.T.H.I.N.G.

Without the U.S. government, there would be no U.S. dollar. The federal government with its unlimited ability to pay any bills at any time – can somehow run short of money? No. A Monetarily Sovereign government cannot run short of money.Nothing limits dollar creation except inflation, which we are nowhere near, and inflation is easily prevented/cured by the Fed’s interest rate control. The federal government isn’t, and never can be, bankrupt.

The federal government could eliminate all T-securities (i.e. eliminate all federal “debt”), simply by pressing a computer key and exchanging one form of U.S. money (dollars) for another form of U.S. money (T-securities). This won’t happen as investors know federal government debt is the safest investment anywhere.

So, you have no problem with the a so-called group of elites (the already rich) dependent on government services, subsidies, tax breaks, tax deferrals. bailouts…?

Seems I hear quite a lot of “speaking out” concerning your FEARS, from clowns (leaders?) like Trump, Cruz,, Rubio, Santorum, Jindal, Perry, Carson, etc..
Donald Trump is simply an ordinary currency user (with no special powers), his ability to declare bankruptcy is contingent only upon already existing bankruptcy law.

So now he’s magnificent because of his comments about Mexicans? Wow. Yeah, um … that would be such a tragic day. I thought Ronnie Reagan was a nightmare but I was too young to frigging vote. He crashed the economy twice. Trumps crashed his finances more than that, declared bankruptcy like it’s a magic wand and trades in his wives when they’ve reached a certain age.

Stick to real estate Trump. Really. No. I mean it. Really.

    • Jennie Boxx July 11th, 2015 at 19:42

I’m safe here. You are not exactly a new commenter. Whew, got out of that one.

              • Mainah July 11th, 2015 at 21:53

OH, no. I meant the comment was in reference to the now deleted comment. Some random sock called me a name for saying what a wreck of a Pres Ronnie Reagan was with crashing the economy and just imagine what Trump would do. Not even a supporting sentence as to why this person called me an idiot. You are indeed safe here and no I’m not new.

Folks here are really great. :-)

I dunno how he’s been so successful in real estate … he doesnt seem very smart.

I think the problem with trump is .. hes saying what the republican mainstream is really thinking. Fear of Mexicans has gone rampant. Its like they are all on meth .

      • Mainah July 11th, 2015 at 20:02

Well, he’s good at manipulating business ventures. The business world can be wicked cut throat. He did this interview about how he got started and he told a story about a development he needed investors for, so he hired a ton of equipment and laborers to just look busy and the investors saw that as a good sign and invested. He almost lost the venture but he bluffed his way into it. Business wise, that was risky and ballsy. Would I want the guy as my President, oh, hell no.

He doesn’t get it on a grand stage. He likes to be “the big fish” but is really outmatched on the global stage. Easily. His remarks about Mexico “sending” us people and then calling them all rapists? Oh, right “there might be some good ones”. There are many people that stay here after their visas. I just think he’s a total clown.

      • wilwave July 12th, 2015 at 09:32

And he’s declared bankrupcy…3 times ? Yea..let him do that to America. He’s an ego and that’s all.

      • Elliot J. Stamler July 16th, 2015 at 16:46

I live in NYC where we’ve lived with Trump for 40 years. He IS very smart about real estate. People can be very smart in their own field and blithering fools in most others and this goes for leftist liberals just as much as right-wing conservatives.
Ben Carson is a very, very smart neurosurgeon and a lunatic-fringe nutcase on politics. And the late radical leftist, Benjamin Spock, was a very, very smart pediatrician and a lunatic-fringe nutcase on politics.
