Arizona Black Churches Say No To Arpaio’s Posses
Joe Arpaio’s latest publicity stunt backfires badly:
Arpaio was asked for the protection by Baptist preacher Rev. Jarrett Maupin on Friday after a gunman killed nine in a racist attack on Charleston’s landmark Emanuel AME. But the request was quickly condemned by other black church leaders, who said Maupin doesn’t represent the community.
“[H]is partnership with Sheriff Arpaio is an affront to all who oppose civil-rights violations,” reverends Reginald Walton and Warren Stewart Jr. and Angeles Maldonado said in a statement, reported by the Arizona Republic. “The Maricopa County sheriff has been adjudicated as a racial profiler. He is the last person we would look to for help.”
So much for Arpaio’s attempt to deflect attention from a damaging ruling on Monday that upheld a guilty verdict against the media-hungry sheriff for racial profiling. Community leaders have stated their support for a fast civil settlement between Arpaio and the Justice Department.

Good job people, do not allow that racist to pretend as if he cares about minorities, those posses of his would likely start trouble as an excuse to shoot and kill.

I was ready to pack it in when I heard yesterday that ‘black churches requested that Arpaio provide armed guards’….so glad to read this update/clarification.

What happened to his little stunt with that other loser where they had the “goods” on the evil overlord Obama? That was hilarious, but to bring guns to a church is not. That isn’t what its suppose to be about. Is he up for reelection or something?

“black” churches wouldn’t need protection if racist like Joe Arpaio were not around.
