J.K. Rowling just burned Westboro Baptist Church

    she tweeted this meme
Dumbledore and Gandalf from “Lord of the Rings” should tie the knot in Ireland

Westboro Baptist Church then tweeted hate

J.K Rowling tweeted a response to Westboro Baptist

“the sheer awesomeness of such a union in such a place would blow your tiny bigoted minds out of your thick sloping skulls.”

Ted cruz ; ” tom brady was framed ”

On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz became the latest candidate to defend Brady. After campaigning in New Hampshire, he stopped by a barn party in Andover, Mass., where he declared, “Tom Brady was framed.”

“Now I’m not willing to pander on much, but on that Tom Brady was framed!” said Cruz, according to a video from a conservative blog. “And I will say this, I have it on good authority that Hillary Clinton did it. Why do you think she deleted her e-mails?”

Oooooh, I am so envious…Southern Colorado is just grand, and the drive from Ouray to Silverton and Durango is not for the faint of heart, but it is thrilling (and makes one want to fall down and kiss the ground afterward)
And of course, New Mexico really is the Land of Enchantment….Enjoy!!!!

    • eyelashviper June 5th, 2015 at 18:09

And don’t miss Ojo Caliente, west of Taos, a wonderful hot spring…

    • Hirightnow June 5th, 2015 at 21:15

Be careful if you “pick up something for the drive”…I’ve heard that there are police doing nothing but waiting around the state lines, looking for out-of-state vehicles leaving Colorado..
But you’d never do anything like that, I’m sure.
      Enjoy your trip…be safe.

we went on a cross country drive from san antonio to idaho, through santa fe, spent a day in a half there, such a beautiful place. what i never want to do again, is drive through the rockies. now i can say, been there, done that. won’t be in a rush to ever do it again. that was the scariest thing ever! my brother had to go through there when he was touring. he was so frightenend by it, that he got a tattoo with our last name on his shoulder, so that when they had to go through it again, he said if they crashed and died, at least the police would know who he was. beautiful and hellofa scare at the same time. nah, just give me a 30 story roller coaster and i’m cool.

Me, after three beers, finding a RW troll commenting on an old thread:
    http://i1.wp.com/davidkanigan.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/kermit-gif-funny-typing-working.gif?resize=200%2C200

    • StoneyCurtisll June 6th, 2015 at 18:02

They call that, (commenting on old threads) “troll rolling”….
They like to comment on old stories where they know no one is reading them..
And then acting as if they got in the last word, often declaring themselves victorious…
I think we both have seen it many times…:)

      • Hirightnow June 6th, 2015 at 18:39

Yup: I’ve seen them hit a year old MedaMatters thread,

        • StoneyCurtisll June 6th, 2015 at 19:20

I tried to make a comment there after a year and a half…
I’m still on the black list..

            • StoneyCurtisll June 7th, 2015 at 13:00

I was given no explanation, and didn’t see a need to ask for one..

With the news that President Obama is now more popular in Louisiana than Governor Jindal, I got nostalgic for the good old days back when conservatives were almost sane.

Here is a blast from the past. It is the initial blueprint for Obamacare, as presented by the very conservative Heritage Foundation in October 1989.

Yes, the ACA was a conservative idea. President Obama got it implemented.

Wanna know why I do not trust conservatives? Would you trust people who lie about their own ideas?

    http://www.heritage.org/research/lecture/assuring-affordable-health-care-for-all-americans

Mandate all households to obtain adequate insurance. Many states now require passengers in automobiles to wear seatbelts for their own protection. Many others require anybody driving a car to have li a bility insurance. But neither the federal government nor any state requires all households to protect themselves from the potentially catastrophic costs of a serious accident or illness. Under the Heritage plan, there would be such a requirement.
