Justice Department To Monitor Gun Range That Banned Muslims
Justice is watching a gun range that refuses to serve Muslims.
After being urged by several advocacy groups to conduct an investigation into Jan Morgan and the Gun Cave Shooting Range in Hot Spring, Arkansas, after Morgan declared the range a “Muslim-free zone” in September. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder that the range was “systematically banning Muslims from a place of business.” The ban, according to CAIR, was “a violation of federal laws prohibiting racial and religious discrimination.” The American Civil Liberties Union also requested an investigation.
The Justice Department confirmed that it was “monitoring the matter,” but did not indicate whether it would launch an investigation…
“I was prepared to fight this from day one,” [Morgan] said. “I will close my business before I will make any compromises that could jeopardize the safety and security of the members who shoot here… [I] will continue to follow the advise [sic] of two agencies within the DOJ to protect and defend my own life, as well as the lives of innocent American citizens in my presence, from any and all threats of violence connected to, and or associated with any and all terrorist organizations.”

So, like, I imagine he would consider the gangs and cartels in Mexico to be terrorists… yeah?
And if so, shouldn’t he be banning all Mexicans too… I mean, if you’re the same race as a terrorist group, you MUST be in cahoots with them… right?

It’s a woman that owns the place. As for banning what got this all started was her banning some Sikh’s. They aren’t Muslim and so they complained.

And either way, the point I was running with was that she’s banning people based on race because of the actions of others in that race.
(Which is dumb, obviously.)

Any place where gun nuts assemble that openly practices bigotry and hate should be monitored very closely by authorities.
But remember, this is Arkansas and the authorities are ‘Good Ol’ Boys’ and likely Klan sympathizers.

I hope she doesn’t have to shut it down, I hope they shut it down for her. It will be even better if they can charge her with a federal felony, then confiscate all her guns and ammo and ban her from owning any again. Karma can be nice.
