Ted Cruz is playing the victim on behalf of Christian are suffering because of “liberal fascism.”

“Today’s Democratic Party has decided there is no room for Christians in today’s Democratic Party,” he said at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition summit in Waukee, Iowa.

“There is a liberal fascism that is going after Christian believers,” the 2016 GOP presidential candidate continued.

“It is heartbreaking,” Cruz argued. “But it is so extreme, it is waking people up.”

Cruz said same-sex marriage had produced rabid zealotry in Democratic ranks. This ideology, he argued, was excluding people of faith.

“Today’s Democratic Party has become so radicalized for legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states that there is no longer any room for religious liberty,” he said.

“Today’s (Conservative majority SCOTUS) has become so radicalized for legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states that there is no longer any room for religious liberty” by upholding equal marriage via the U.S. Constitution 10th & 14th amendments in 37+ states today.

Big, phony, sanctimonious gasbags are targeting Christians like a can of RELIGION be GONE.

Hypocrite Heretics from TAX FREE Bases to be sure!

  5. Kick Frenzy April 26th, 2015 at 19:45

    Translation –

    Democrats value equality for all.
Republicans will defend Judeo-Christian religions, exclusively… to a fault.

    • frambley1 April 26th, 2015 at 20:26

I’m not really sure they defend anything that Mr. Christ stood for. I am pretty sure he wasn’t a big fan of judging people.

      • Kick Frenzy April 26th, 2015 at 22:32

And we’d be in agreement! :)

Notice, I didn’t say “defend Christian principles”.
I said they defend the religions.
They give f* all about practicing those religions, but they’re more than happy to pander a bit for a bunch of votes.

The sad thing is that if Christians really sat and looked at the actions, and not the words, of the two main parties… they’d quickly realize that Democrats are exceedingly more Christian in their actions than the Republicans.

Jesus looked up them with anger in his day!

        Book says so.

    • granpa.usthai April 26th, 2015 at 22:47

ONLY their agreeable brand of FALSE BELIEVERS.

  6. Mainah April 26th, 2015 at 20:12

I don’t know what was more bothersome. The article, or the comments on The Hill about the Bakers who got fined for discrimination? Wow.

  7. Winslow Bunny April 26th, 2015 at 21:03

I’m not sure which orifice Teddy pulled those statements out of (Democrats have no room for Christians? Isn’t “Liberal Fascism” an oxymoron?) , but it does appear that he wasn’t sitting on his brains when he said it, so he must have pulled those statements out of his . . .

You are wrong once again, Rafael.

    • Ronald L April 26th, 2015 at 22:10

      I’m a devout Christian and a life-long Democrat.

I’ve never felt unwelcome by Democrats.

But I’m very unwelcome in conservative circles.

      • Suzanne McFly April 27th, 2015 at 06:14

Jesus would not be welcome in Republican circles. That says more about them then us.

        • John Tarter April 27th, 2015 at 20:53

If Jesus was hanging around in Democrat circles, he would be telling you folks to walk the straight path and stop supporting sinfiul behavior.

          • whatthe46 April 28th, 2015 at 00:23

hate is a sinful behavior. something you do all day long and everytime you post. you “hate” gays you “hate” people of color, you hate anyone that doesn’t live up to or share in your miserable standards of what someone should be. in that case, john tarter meet lucifer.

          • Suzanne McFly April 28th, 2015 at 13:03

Quote me one Jesus saying that would show I support a behavior he would deem “sinful”. Don’t worry, I won’t be waiting for a reply, I know fox “news” doesn’t provide those types of responses for you.

      • Anomaly 100 April 27th, 2015 at 06:58

Me too. I’m a Christian and never felt persecuted by Democrats. Not even for a minute.

      • John Tarter April 27th, 2015 at 20:51

Devout Christian and lifelong Democrat? Come on tell us, does your devoutness include support for the killing of babies in the womb? Supporting same sex marriages? That’s what the Democrats stand for.

        • Dwendt44 April 27th, 2015 at 23:59

There are no babies in the womb.

  9. Ronald L April 26th, 2015 at 22:04

Conservative Christianity has a persecution complex that is relentless.

    • granpa.usthai April 26th, 2015 at 22:54

      KONservative Kristians ain’t REAL Christians.

      REAL Christians read the Bible.

Real Christians believe Ezekiel 16:49 is the truth.

      FAKE RELIGIOUS SCOUNDRELS don’t.

probably something the Canadian born Cuban picked up from his revolutionary minded dad.

  10. William April 26th, 2015 at 22:54

Nothing left to run on. In desperation Rafael pulls out the Christian, martyr, victim card.

    • granpa.usthai April 26th, 2015 at 22:58

A real Christian would know when their Heavenly Father is ‘punking’ them.

  11. fahvel April 27th, 2015 at 03:22

elect this smarmy snake oil thing and yo deserve what you get – that’s democracy! the majority can be very very stoooopt!

  12. Suzanne McFly April 27th, 2015 at 06:13

Hmmm, thats funny. I have been a Catholic for my entire life, even went to church this weekend, and yet I am a flaming liberal. I believe in the teachings of Jesus, not the teachings of the highest bidder. Go on cruz and continue your search to be the leader of all DB”s, your doing a great job.

    • Bunya April 28th, 2015 at 15:12

Now, y’see, that’s the problem. You spent your time in church, paying your respects to the Creator, when you could have been doing what republican Jesus has instructed – like bashing the skulls of Muslims, Jews, Gays, Atheists and Liberals. The lackadaisical attitude you employ when it comes to doing the work of republican Jesus, just goes to show how big of a “liberal fascist” you really are!

      • Suzanne McFly April 28th, 2015 at 17:53

I know I am questioned on my faith, but I have no problem stating the fact that the Republican Jesus is fake and never existed.

  13. Chris April 27th, 2015 at 07:24

Gee. Glad to get the heads up from Ted that there’s no room for me and my Christian beliefs in my Democratic Party.

Wonder why I wasn’t told this by anybody else?

  14. Jake April 27th, 2015 at 07:49

    Anyone else getting
Hold on, this is waiting to be approved by Liberaland.”

  15. Jeffrey Samuels April 27th, 2015 at 08:44

well if anyone would know the meaning of ‘rabid zealotry’, it would be Cruz and the religious right. I wonder if they have ever read about the concept of ‘projection’. They are masters at it.

  16. Gina April 27th, 2015 at 16:37

Someone must give him lessons in politics, fast! Liberal fascism his arse!

    • allison1050 April 27th, 2015 at 17:34

And explain religious right wing extremism and fascism there’s not that much difference.
