It’s the best way to handle detractors; spit in their eye.

This new site seems to hang less than the old one did.

It has a nicer look, although that’s not super important to me. I much prefer flawless functionality over flash.

Looks like Hillary’s Iowa visit is off to a start – a staged start. According to the UK Daily Mail, the “ordinary” Iowans at her coffee shop klatch included a Mr. Austin Bird, whom the Clinton campaign called a student, but who really is a Democrat Party insider who drove VP Joe Biden around and interned with Obama’s 2012 campaign.
And the other two were the University of Iowa College Democrats president Carter Bell and Planned Parenthood of the Heartland employee Sara Sedlacek. And all were personally driven to the meeting by Clinton’s Iowa Political Director Troy Price. Don’t they call this sort of thing “astroturfing”?

Q: How do you say “Rio Grande” in Italian?

    A: “Mar Mediterraneo”

Funny you should bring that up. It looks like those practitioners of the “religion of peace” are at it again. Reports are that about 12 Christians were thrown overboard by some Muslims as they sailed from Africa to Italy. It just never stops with those folks.

My point in linking to that article was to draw attention to the fact that the US is not the only country in which current rates of immigration are causing strife. I was not trying to make a point about the immigrants to Italy being Muslims.

I once worked in a research lab where I became friends with a coworker and a visiting scholar who were both Muslims. They were from Iran and Bahrain. They were both very collegial. One of them even attended my wedding, which was held in a Catholic church. Because of my friendships with these two men, I am a little uncomfortable with your use of the phrase “those folks”. There are definitely some evil Muslims in the world, and they are the ones who get all of the publicity. But my working assumption is that most Muslims are like most Christians – maybe a little opinionated, but not to the point of violence. I don’t know how such a thing can be proven, but it’s my working assumption.

Just found this, in a link on RS regarding the miners in Oregon, calling upon the militia, and then getting upset when the wackos show up and start doing their thing.
I had not seen this anywhere else, but apparently at least one person is being prosecuted for threatening federal officers at Bundystan last year..
