David Barton Says Bible Claims No AIDS Vaccine

Posted by | April 13, 2015 12:00 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Religion

David Barton says if God allowed an AIDS vaccine, there would be no punishment for the sin of being gay.

As “evidence” of this position, the Religious Right psuedo-historian and GOP activist claimed that the virus that causes AIDS is constantly mutating, making it impossible to inoculate against. He pointed to news stories about various failures by researchers to successfully test an experimental vaccine as “proof” of his assertion.

I wonder why so many children die of cancer, I guess his god hates kids and is punishing them

his god of LYING greed has already murdered many many children with aids. That’s why their religion subjugates women’s free choice. his god needs to slay children -sometimes in the most hideous manner – just to stay sharp and on top of the ‘worship’ list.

Something has to be sacrificed in the name of god, the poor are making children like crazy so why not? Cut the funding for SNAP, cut the Medicaid funds, eliminate extra tax credit for poor women, and so forth.
        Toss them into the volcano.

    Barton (AIDS is constantly mutating,)

    A) God made everything, there is no Evolution.

    B) Evolution means things mutate and change.

    C) Barton contends that the founders “already had the entire debate on creation and evolution” and sided with Creationism.

    D) Barton claims HIV is mutating.

    E) So Barton is claiming mutation and evolution are REAL! Barton is claiming there is no God/s. Welcoming David Barton, our newest member to the club.

Not content with putting words that they never said in our Founding Fathers mouths, Barton now enters the medical field with his wagon load of meadow muffins.

Since cancer cells are constantly mutating, is punishment for the sin of having the disease eternal damnation? Imagine all the people suffering from cancer who are headed straight to hell. Oh well, I guess that’s their punishment for choosing to get cancer.

I suppose this is about as good a time as any to resurrect this beautiful argument against the sickness that is theism.

By that logic lesbions are less sinful than heterosexual women as heterosexual women have a greater chance of getting aids.

    • Dwendt44 April 14th, 2015 at 12:06

Not just AIDS, lesbians have a lower STD rate than any other group.

What about kids like Ryan White, one of the first persons to get AIDS in the U/S in 1984? Ryan became infected while receiving a blood transfusion due to hemophilia. His condition had nothing to do with gay sex. Barton needs to stop looking for attention and to stop making sh*t up to serve his hateful agenda. Gay persons aren’t the only Americans who have become infected with AIDS, and he knows it, but he cannot turn down any opportunity to foul the environment with his vile hate speech.

    • Bunya April 14th, 2015 at 14:34

Perhaps this preacher thinks hemophilia is also a “lifestyle choice”.
