Kerik: ‘I’m Done Saying I’m Sorry’
I asked Bernie Kerik the former New York City police commissioner, now out of jail, why he wasn’t exhibiting more remorse. Been there, done that, was the nature of his reply. He was with me on radio to discuss his book, From Jailer to Jailed. Among his tales is how his former best friend, Rudy Giuliani dumped him. But it wasn’t just ignoring Bernie that made it so sad, it was the ignoring of his godchildren.

He’s done pretending. There’s nothing to be gained at this point by pretending to be sorry.

He’s a bigger tool than I already thought he was if he thought Giuliani was not going to dump him the moment anything went wrong. Giuliani is what one calls a “fair weather friend.”

the statement should say “Bernie Keric convicted felon is sick of saying he’s sorry; for being a criminal copper.” there fixed it

I liked most of what Kerik said in the interview with Alan but he still has that confounding conservative mindset where he can’t learn unless it happens personally to him.
Practically everything Kerik had to learn by going to prison, we liberals have been saying for years. But we didn’t have to go to prison to figure it out.
But when Alan asked him about stop-and-frisk, Kerik couldn’t see any problem with it.
I guess Kerik will have to be stopped-and-frisked a few times before he can understand how dehumanizing it is. That’s how the conservative mind works.
