Video: Record-Setting 95 MPH Roller Coaster Unveiled
Click here for reuse options!Carowinds ran its first test of the new Fury 325 roller coaster earlier this month.
The 32-passenger train climbing to the top of a 325 foot hill. The hill is followed by an 81 degree first drop and then races through a series of hills, curves and quick transitions while reaching speeds of up to 95 miles per hour. The ride lasts nearly three and one half minutes.

poor design or suicide assist ? No shoulder restraints What could possibly go wrong ….

Many coasters don’t have shoulder restraints, and really no coaster needs shoulder restraints. They’re mostly for comfort and making the rider feel safer. The body can be safely restrained with just a lap bar, even upside-down.

This article is incorrect. Fury 325 is the world’s tallest and fastest GIGA coaster (although even that is not completely true). “Giga” is a classification meaning between 300 and 400ft tall. The world’s tallest coaster is Kingda Ka in NJ at 456ft tall. The world’s fastest coaster is Formula Rossa in Abu Dhabi at 149.1mph.
