[su_upd]Ferguson Shooting Suspect Arrested, IDed
The news of an arrest first broke around 2pmEDT:
An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, officials said Sunday afternoon.
“An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting of two police officers in #Ferguson. Thank you for your help,” the St. Louis County Police Department said in a tweet just after noon local time.
The shooting Thursday — when gunshots rang out just as a protest was winding down — left two cops wounded, one with a bullet still lodged in his head.
An officer from the St. Louis suburb of Webster Groves, 32-years-old and a seven-year veteran, was shot in the face, officials said. The bullet entered under his right eye and lodged behind his ear. The other officer, from the county police force, was shot in the shoulder, and the bullet came out his back, officials said. That officer is 41 years old and a 14-year veteran.
The officers were released from the hospital about nine hours after the incident.
A press conference was set to be held at 2:30 p.m. ET Sunday, officials said.

This will be interesting.
Foundryman March 15th, 2015 at 14:54
Interesting or predictable.
Carla Akins March 15th, 2015 at 15:49
It appears predictable. Yet it still took the Keystone cops 4 days to find a 20-year-old loser. I don’t know if there’s anything redeemable in the Ferguson PD.
whatthe46 March 15th, 2015 at 14:52
so, apparently this fool believed the best way to deal with a dispute is to start shooting. gotcha.
Foundryman March 15th, 2015 at 14:56
Yep, right outside the police station with a hundred cops in riot gear at the time, what better time or place to settle an argument?
whatthe46 March 15th, 2015 at 15:19
its like he doesn’t give a damn about what’s going on and why.
Larry Schmitt March 15th, 2015 at 15:39
Sounds like a good candidate for the NRA.

Giuliani’16~: Ferguson Shooter ‘Should Be Commended’ if he’s a Klansman.
Red Eye Robot March 15th, 2015 at 15:16
Was he a ” 1. a WHITE Racist Terrorist armed with a stolen military weapon they transport across state lines.
2. someone at a protest that does not carry firearms.
common reasoning tells me to choose 1.” As granpa.usthai predicted 3 days ago?

It’s Gary from the Red Eye Radio show.
I finally had my suspicions confirmed one night
when Red Eye Robot posted several zingers here which Gary McNamara then used later on the show. He talks about cruising around the internet late nights when they’re doing show prep and Red Eye Robot also uses a number of phrases that McNamara uses.
Notice the reluctance to really engage.
It’s the same way on their show. They always interrupt contrary views immediately so the other person is unable to build an argument.
The only way they can debate is by limiting counter arguments to making points they approve of.
They’ll say, “Tell us where we’re wrong”, prevent callers from doing so and then claim victory.
Their arguments fall apart under the sort of scrutiny that can be applied in a forum like this – hence the hit-and-run nature of Red Eye Robot’s posts.

They let their producer do the show a while back when they were on vacation and it was pretty good.
I’d like to know how old MacNamara really is because previously he has made it sound as if he was much younger than the other night when he said he remembered watching the 1960 Nixon-Kennedy debate on TV and favored Nixon.
I posted in a nice manner on their FB until I guess they got tired of the facts I was presenting and my refusal to argue the points they wanted me to. So they have me blocked.
The other night an older black man tried to tell them that sometimes African Americans have different experiences than whites and they exploded, constantly interrupting until he got pissed off and used the word “cracker,” which they used to label the man a racist, without admitting they had needled him into it or addressing the point he was trying to make.
Robert M. Snyder March 18th, 2015 at 23:02
“they exploded, constantly interrupting”
Yep. That’s my least-favorite part of the show. I listen to them perhaps 2 or 3 times per month, if I’m working late and doing something that doesn’t require much concentration. If they start talking over a guest, I usually switch it off. Calling into their show must be like ordering soup from the Soup Nazi. One wrong word and it’s “No soup for you!”.
burqa March 18th, 2015 at 23:44
They can be amusing and Harley gets off some good ones.
Unfortunately they are too thin-skinned and are afraid of debate.
Besides the interrupting tactic, they also keep one hand on the volume knob.
I think this is why Red Eye Robot won’t debate here. He (MacNamara) can’t debate in a setting where the playting field is even and he can’t determine the arguments the other side put forth.
Now when I occasionally hear the show and hear that line, “Tell us where we’re wrong” I get a chuckle because I know they make sure to prevent such a thing.

I am really glad that I got to watch the Fred Friendly debates when I was young. If I were teaching a Civics class, I would devote two class periods to watching and discussing one of those. I think the culture began to change when CNN started the phenomenon of 24×7 news. The shouting and interrupting started with Crossfire and The McLaughlin Group and it went downhill from there. Young people need to know that it doesn’t have to be that way.
My son and daughter are both in their mid-twenties, college-educated, gainfully employed, and recently married. But they pay very little attention to politics and haven’t voted since 2008. In 2012 I asked my son if he planned to vote and he said that he didn’t feel qualified because he wasn’t up to speed on the issues.
It’s a shame that “politics” and “career politician” have such negative connotations. Personally, I think that politics is a noble profession, and I want our public servants to have the kind of wisdom that can only come from experience. Nobody would want a “one-term dentist” or a “one-term surgeon”. I wish they had never passed a two-term limit on the presidency. This whole “lame duck” thing is very destructive, in my opinion. Would the nation have been better off if Roosevelt had been a lame duck in his second term? I think not.
Foundryman March 15th, 2015 at 15:42
Keep pretending. Maybe you can convince yourself that it isn’t possible for a far right racist group to be capable of pulling this off or at least be behind it.
Keep denying that a corrupted and race biased prosecuting attorney and biased police dept couldn’t possibly frame some black kid with warrants out for him.
After all, settling a dispute in front of a police station with dozens of armed riot gear wearing officers are at is feasible to anyone right?
Red Eye Robot March 15th, 2015 at 16:03
Reports are williams has already confessed
fancypants March 15th, 2015 at 21:51
300,000 bond isn’t exactly conviction bail $
and btw the press conference over the weekend tells me they are still looking at video and asking the public for tips on the shooting.
confessions ( in the past ) have often accompanied shall we say persuasive and borderline illegal interrogation and or warrants.
im saying at this point until ballistics proves otherwise that the shooter is still at large
burqa March 15th, 2015 at 23:22
Good idea to hold of on coming to conclusions this early.
At this point all we have is an accusation and the facts have yet to come out.
For some strange reason there seems to be a compulsion to decide such cases immediately. Even when contrary information comes in, many of those who immediately come to conclusions refuse to factor in the new data.
At this point, many believed the lies put out by Michael Brown’s friends and believed Brown was just standing there, reaching for the sky in surrender when a white cop came up behind him and shot him in the back.
We should just sit back, keep our powder dry, let the facts come in and be prepared to change our opinions as the case develops.

Hey listen, I had a really long discussion with Old Lefty and she informs me that we can never know what actually happened that day in Ferguson. For all we know Michael Brown was kneeling, with his back to the officer, both arms raised in surrender, saying “don’t shoot”….. (as some eyewitnesses contend)
Or, maybe he was facing the officer, standing with both arms raised, and saying, “don’t shoot”….(as other eyewitnesses contend)
Or, maybe he was facing the officer, with both arms raised, and Michael Brown decided he needed to quickly move closer to the officer, so he, the officer, could better hear the plea, “don’t shoot”….
Or maybe, Darren Wilson badly over reacted to the situation, because officer Wilson had a racist fear of big black guys, and officer Wilson failed to understand that Michael Brown was really just scared for his life. That Michael Brown wasn’t struggling to take the gun from the officer, no, that Michael Brown was afraid of officer Wilson and was simply acting in self-defense….Michael Brown was simply struggling with officer Wilson in an attempt to keep officer Wilson from shooting him…..cause officer Wilson was drawing his weapon and as the weapon was being drawn Michael Brown panicked and tried to keep the officer from pointing the weapon at him…..
Michael Brown had a split second to decide, and in a moment reacted, diving in through the patrol car window, desperately trying to keep from getting gunned down by a racist cop….
We just can’t know for sure what happened.
Don’t believe me?
Ask old Lefty.

There were efforts to influence witnesses through intimidation reflected in “snitches get stitches” graffitti.
We may never know everything, but there is plenty we do that contradicts the original story that many foolishly not only believed, but insisted on continuing to believe as contrary facts emerged.
The physical evidence that can’t be intimidated socially shows Brown’s friends lied.
The physical evidence that can’t be intimidated shows Brown committing a robbery and having a belligerent, self-entitled attitude toward the loot and the rightful owners of it.
The physical evidence that can’t be intimidated shows Brown attacked the cop in the car.
The physical evidence that can’t be intimidated showed Brown had fled then turned around and was heading back toward the cop.
Brown shouldn’t have stolen.
Brown shouldn’t have bullied the store clerk.
Brown shouldn’t have walked down the middle of the street.
Brown shouldn’t have attacked the cop.
Brown shouldn’t have disobeyed legal orders from a cop.
Brown shouldn’t have charged the cop he’d just assaulted and again should have complied with lawful orders.
Brown broke one law after the other until it eventually cost him his life.
Michael Brown was no hero or even a role model and as long as he is held up as some sort of martyr then others who act the way Brown did will end up the same way.

That’s the sad reality. One thing I know for sure, you were, and still are one of those who was praying for peace. Iv’e disagreed with you politically, and Iv’e disagreed with you socially, but I agree with you in the spirit of love and understanding.
granpa.usthai March 15th, 2015 at 15:44
did he confront LE Officers locked and loaded as in Nevada? – by the ‘lame stream’ media reports, it was as rg9rts post states. (if the lame stream media/and/or officials can now be trusted?).
I still stick to my common reasoning. Bundy’s Kow farm should have been stormed in force, the Kowboy should have been rendered to DPRK for intense locally enhanced interrogation techniques until he fessed up and named every single ARMED WHITE Racist that was with him in his FAILED ATTEMPT to overthrow the US Government by force of arms.
rocker March 16th, 2015 at 05:32
So you seem to have moved a little of topic.. Does this happen often ?

Just settling a neighborhood dispute the NRA way…the cops??Collateral damage

If he was white all he would have to do is claim he was cleaning his gun and it accidentally discharged. It works for killing children and it might even work for injuring policemen.
