Sunday Dowd: With The Clintons, There Are Always Shadows

You don’t want Maureen to not be on your side.

Near midnight on Wednesday, Hillary tweeted that she had asked the State Department to release the emails she had coughed up when pressed, noting: “I want the public to see my email.”

Less true words were never spoken…

Everyone is looking for signs in how Hillary approaches 2016 to see if she’s learned lessons from past trouble. But the minute this story broke, she went back to the bunker, even though she had known for months that the Republicans knew about the account. The usual hatchets — Philippe Reines, David Brock, Lanny Davis and Sidney Blumenthal — got busy.

The Clintons don’t sparkle with honesty and openness. Between his lordly appetites and her queenly prerogatives, you always feel as if there’s something afoot.

Maureen Dowd has always hated The Clintons, Gore and Obama.
Now, she is considered the mean girl of the middle school clique.

… when she’s not considered a hack and a joke.

And with Maureen it’s always about the Clintons. Her big problem with Bill Clinton is that it wasn’t her wearing the famous blue dress.

We’ve been to this rodeo before.

Every news cycle, a new Fake Fox Scandal.
Then, the Clintons are cleared of wrongdoing.
But, by then, the press has moved on.

And conservatives use terms like “shadows” and “scandal-ridden” when it’s all a bunch of B.S.

Mo doesn’t sparkle either …if someone was always looking down her panties

With the ever-muddled MoDo, there is always her bitter, gin-soaked butthurt. Obama took her to the woodshed for her amateur psychiatry disguised as political punditry (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/10/obama-maureen-dowd_n_6652240.html).

And two can play the armchair psychologist game: I have no doubt that MoDo’s bitterness toward the Clintons stems from her sexual frustration: attraction to the Big Dig, fury over being unable to bed him, and jealousy for the bigger-boned women he prefers..
