Too many things become a “scandal” to the point where the word no longer has meaning.

Predicting a Clinton implosion may be premature. But the bad news for her in fact keeps coming, even if it just prolongs the distraction and never adds up to much. (The story began with a New York Times report that as secretary of state she had used only a private e-mail address, and then continued when the Associated Press revealed that Mrs. Clinton was operating her own e-mail server, giving her a greater level of control over her communications.)

    Better have it come out now then closer to the election. By then, it’ll be old news.
    It will be debunked and/or deflated and the blanks that the wacky right is or will be shooting are just that.

    Running her own secure server makes her the smartest person in the room. Clearly government email is easily hacked.

    Neither…
    It’s absolute genius. Despite the horrible expense of paying whatever army of clerks will sift through FIFTY FIVE THOUSAND pages of e-mails, it’s the political equivalent of buying the GOP a play-dough fun factory. It will keep them busy for days and days, so the adults can go do grown up things.
