UPDATED: To Our Readers: A Change Is Gonna Come
Just to confuse our readers even more, we have some new changes about to take place. As you probably know, FreakOutNation merged with Liberaland quite a few months ago (Don’t make me look up the exact date. You’re not the boss of me!) and the traffic and comments have been amazing.
Alan is not forcing me to say this (nods head yes) but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with him and it’s been a wonderful learning experience for me. Gene is an excellent admin. He’s an easy guy to work with and talk to. Also, he likes hamburgers, too. Don’t judge me. I’m hungry.
That Anomaly woman
We are undoing the merge and will have two sites again, but we’ll still be working together. How can you do that, you say? OK, you didn’t say that, but I’ll answer the question anyway.
I’ll still be all over the comments here and our moderators have the option of staying on here, too.
When Alan’s away, I’ll fill in for him and unleash my libtardness on his readers. I’ll still be the same gauche blogger I’ve always been.
Tiffany Willis from Liberal America will be helping me out with the move because I’m a tech-dummy. Also, Gene is trying to make the transition easy for me, too.
Geeky ComgenKDT is also helping out and emailing me with lists of stuff to do and not to do.
I’m not sure what day this will take place but it will be soon. I have to call the server people and pay them eleventy thousand dollars in order to get a dedicated server thingy set up, but I’m on it.
I wanted to take a minute to thank all of our readers and that guy Alan, too. I love this site and will continue to auto-tweet posts from here and spread them far and wide — or just put the links on Facebook and tweet them.
To be clear: Alan and I did not get in a drag-out knock-down fight, although that would be a fun rumor to start. We started this venture as friends and we will remain friends. I thought this merge would give us both more time away from the computer. But, with more traffic, came more responsibilities and I still have no life <sad face>.
In addition, I need to make ends meet like grown ups do, so going back to FON might help me (or maybe not) to reach that goal
It’s been a fantastic ride. I love being here, so just because I won’t be here, that doesn’t mean I’m not really here. Yes, that made total sense in my head somehow.
I’ll be around.

Let me add how much Anomaly has contributed to the growth of Liberaland. She is a terrific blogger and has helped this site in ways I can’t even calculate. I hope those who have found us because of Anomaly and FON will stick around and enjoy both sites for the price of one. Along with Anomaly we’ve found some terrific mods who will, hopefully, continue to interact with us in the comment section. A special thank you to TiredOfTea, Mea_Mark, Carla and R.J. Reading what you wrote here, takes me back to a more ‘care free’ time in my life… The last Concert I went to was ‘Van Morrison’ and before that was ‘Eric Clapton’ ‘Bob Seger’… and somewhere in all of that, I saw the ‘Monkee’s’ Don’t laugh at the last one…. that was a really fun ‘Live performance Event’ In Lake Tahoe. My ex-wife’s Brother played the drums (Micky Dolenz) so we were treated to the “Stars Suite” and then spent the afternoon on ‘Harrah’s Yacht.

I have to admit I did laugh at the Monkee’s concert but I used to watch the show all the time when I was a kid lol. I still go to concerts, there are a lot of people there older than me and a lot of younger people as well. I don’t feel uncomfortable I just figure we all have good taste in music :)

One of the things you guys have brought is the presence and participation of moderators. On other boards I’m on, this is not always so and they suffer because of it.
I just hope this doesn’t mean the math problems I gotta solve when logging on will not get more difficult. I can work addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on my pocket calculator, but not stuff like fractions, sine, cosine and tangent. I done forgot all that stuff anyways.
And please, you dramatically underestimate yourself with expressions like “libtard” and “gauche”. I think you’re a sweetie pie!

I have refreshed the page in the browser and just did a full power-off reboot. The problem persists.. I even tried accessing the site from google search results and no luck.
FireFox works fine.
Was there a system change that makes the site incompatible with chrome?
I really don’t like using FireFox.

Try clearing your cache if you haven’t done it recently. LL had some problems with old cookies showing up but seems to be working now. You just may still have some of the old cookies causing problems.

. Clearing the browser cookies did the trick. Chrome lets you select browsing history, download history, passwords and bunch of other stuff to clear. I selected only the cookies and looks to have resolved the problem.

If so, what sets FON and LL apart from each other? Is there a notion they will compliment each other in specific ways? If so, how?
I really enjoy reading LL and certainly appreciate the opprotunity to engage in serious, often passionate and ususally polite discussion from time to time. I hope that never changes and continues to promote good-old fashion values, like Democracy.
