Watch: Racist Song At Ex-Cop Charity Dinner Mocks, ‘Dead, Dead Michael Brown’
An an event hosted by retired LAPD Officer Joe Myers, a performer sang a song celebrating the death of Michael Brown, for an audience that included a number of retired and current cops.
The song was a parody of “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.” Gary Fishell, the performer and a member of the Lodge, changed the lyrics, which include:
Michael Brown learned a lesson about a messin’
With a badass policemanAnd he’s bad, bad Michael Brown
Baddest thug in the whole damn town
Badder than old King Kong
Meaner than a junkyard dogTwo men took to fightin’
And Michael punched in through the door
And Michael looked like some old Swiss cheese
His brain was splattered on the floorAnd he’s dead, dead Michael Brown
Deadest man in the whole damn town
His whole life’s long gone
Deader than a roadkill dog
Some police are almost masturbating to the death of an unarmed black man. In case you think that’s an exaggeration, TMZ obtained video of the celebration:
The singer, Gary Fishell is a private investigator who once worked as an investigator for the Federal Government.
His attorney told TMZ, that Fishell now realizes the song was “off color and in poor taste.”
He added, “He’s a goofball who writes funny songs.” When asked why he’d sing that song in a room full of police officers, he said, “He thought the room would get a kick out of it.”
Someone who was at the event videotaped it because they were offended by the song and he or she was upset that no one objected to it.
A trustee of the lodge said disciplinary action will be taken and added, “We don’t stand for any racist things like this.”

The song was disgusting and a perfect example of todays cops, I smear them all because no one is standing up to the thugs in uniform.

white racist have been hiding behind law enforcement badges and in military uniforms for years. Didn’t see any retirees ‘getting off’ on the song, but don’t doubt there may have been several. Digging up old dead fruit trees takes time. Lot of roots that have to be severed. Shinning the light of truth is the first cut – many more will follow.

I don’t know if I should give you this or not? I know you will temper your righteous indignation with wisdom but after watching this I was set a fire myself.

I watched until the 4th picnic and couldn’t do anymore. I just have no idea how to even approach someone so deeply steeped in hate, much less begin to change their minds.

According to him you should approach him with the knowledge that he wishes to end you. I am glad to have seen this because I for one am a believer in “the only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance”. I would rather watch all their atrocities and horrors than be caught unawares of their actions. They are soldiers in a silent war that is out in the open, make a note of every face and every rank because they are the enemy and they are doing the same to us.

You’re right. It just makes me ache to know that strangers and loved ones alike have to live this reality.

Americans need to understand that racism is intertwined with these fake christians that have usurped the religion. The enemy of American is not only the KKK but all the tentacles it has; including christianity.

No one had to edit the tape to produce those vile words. He’s just singing it right out loud to an appreciative audience. And they wonder why so many revile and mistrust them.
granpa.usthai December 23rd, 2014 at 14:12
didn’t notice a lot of appreciation in the video?
even after watching it the second time around.
seems like most folks there were just socializing while some loud music was blaring.
BUTT!
it would be nice to see a signed letter of protest by those who were there.

“We don’t stand for any racist things like that” well they did and so did the attendees. Fishell knew and was comfortable with his audience and that’s why he sang his crappy song he knew he wouldn’t really offend anyone. There’s no room for him to do the back stroke.

It’s the complete heartlessness of what these pricks did with this song and how they think it was amusing. Worse yet, the faux remorse expressed only came about after they were exposed. It’s obvious that black lives don’t matter.

The full motto: “To Protect our own interests and to Serve judgement.”
(Or my original one before the enormity of death by cop came to light… “To Protect our own interests and to Serve summonses.”)

His attorney told TMZ, that Fishell now realizes the song was “off color and in poor taste.”
After, and only after, being confronted with the recording of his performance. I have no doubt that up until that moment, he thought it was a swell gag, haw haw yuk yuk.

Glendale CA, incidentally, has been historically resistant to any influx of the black populace, much like the surrounding foothill towns to the north and west. About 1.6% black in the city itself, with the remainder mostly white, a few latinos and asians, and oddly, the largest community of Armenians outside of Armenia itself. So yeah, a black face would be out of place there.
I don’t know what the racial makeup was at the shindig at the Elks Lodge, but I did have a look at the Elks Lodge Facebook page, which is pretty much what you’d expect– page after page of pictures of old white guys (and a few wives).
