More Environmental Protection From Obama Administration
Continuing one of the best months of the Obama Presidency, the President took a couple of actions last week to protect the environment:
President Obama announced he was withdrawing a pristine and ecologically rich region of Alaska from any future oil and gas development. Using section 12 of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, Obama signed a memorandum removing Bristol Bay, a 52,000-square-mile area off Alaska’s southwest coast, in order to “take it off of the bidders block and make sure it is preserved for the future.”

The new rule from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sets structural integrity standards for all existing and new disposal sites to reduce the chances that they will leak or break. It also requires that new coal ash ponds be lined and not located in sensitive areas like wetlands and earthquake zones.

Great. Just great. With all these new regulations, I’ll never become part of the 1% that RW media promises me I will be one day!
Thanks, Obama! And you too, mea_mark!

The 1% is rotten to the core, I really am doing you a favor. This way you will be free from all the worlds worst problems being part of your karma.

Palin’s Bristol Bay is finally off the market! Smells like teen fisheries are far more valuable than a leaky old decrepit pipeline, that’s been running on empty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWKbfoikeg

Hallelulah, such good news. Wish we could stop the destruction of the rain forests of the world, which is a disaster in the making for the entire world.
Koch Bros and Big Energy, along with Rio Tinto mining are the really bad guys and need to be reigned in everywhere.
