Man Suspected Of 10th Drunken Driving Offense Blames Beer-Battered Fish

It was John Przbvia’s tenth drunken driving offense, so when he was stopped by the Wisconsin police, naturally, he blamed beer-battered fish, according to an incident report released on Wednesday.

Oh sure, blame the fish.

According to Reuters, the 73-year-old of Friendship, Wisconsin, was stopped for a broken tail light and erratic driving on Oct. 12th by a deputy who then smelled alcohol on his breath and saw that his eyes were blood shot, according to a report released by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.

When the officer asked Przybyla how much he had had to drink, he said that he had not been drinking but instead had eaten beer-battered fish at a fish fry, the report said.

Przybyla failed a field sobriety test and a breath test showed he had been drinking, the report said.

Przybyla faces his 10th drunken driving offense, according to online court records.

I’m just going to drop this right here. I’m pretty sure John Przbvla saw it.

He’s sure it wasn’t the beer-battered beer. No way it coulda been that!

I often blame gremlins for the mechanical repairs I have to make.

Here’s a true story. I know a guy who has had four drunk driving convictions. He still drinks. He spent 90 days in jail and his car was confiscated (permanently, I believe) by the state. He has been without a driver’s license for five years. He has no health insurance because he can’t get a job. He lives in his brother’s living room. Who is at fault here? He says he “was dealt a bad hand.” BTW, he hates Obama.

Guess his brother was trained to take care of him. Me, I’d introduce mine to the wide open streets of AmeriKa but that’s just me.

His brother has threatened him with eviction but has not followed through on it. He has far more patience than I would.

As I said, his brother has been trained. I just told my sister 2 days ago, who was complaining about a 22 y/o nephew of ours that she can’t “help him”. She’s been helping this non compliant nephew for just under 5 yrs now. She hung up because she knows she doesn’t want me to fly out there and do the dirty deed for her..which would be to point out the front door and back door and all of the windows in between. I mean we do still have some choices left to us.

I will always remember the advice Ann Landers gave to someone many years ago. It takes two people to make a door mat. One of them has to let the other walk all over him. You’re right, both sides have a choice.

I miss Ann ’cause she certainly knew how to hit the nail on the head!

riiiight, it was the fault of the beer battered fish and the judges who continue to allow him out on the roads.

Was that Old Milwaukee that did that commercial? Worst. Beer. Ever.

      • Larry Schmitt December 11th, 2014 at 17:11

No, it was Keystone Light. Tied for worst beer ever.

Yep, that’s it. Funny you bring up the brand too. My oldest brother used to swear by OM beer (the first one you mentioned) when I’d go over his place visits. I told him Budweiser was better quality piss and I wouldn’t even touch that stuff. I haven’t touch any big name brand beer in decades.

Over the years all the big brewers have removed all the taste and character from their beer to cater to the lowest common denominator. The masses don’t know what real beer is supposed to taste like. If that’s what they want to drink, that’s fine. As long as there are small craft brewers making something I can actually taste, I have plenty to choose from. If I’m at a party or someone’s house and the only beer they have is Bud or Miller or Coors, I’ll drink soda or water.

These folks are referred to as frequent fliers. On one occasion I received a call from dispatch as follows. The drunk and suspended operator I had arrested an hour ago had just been bailed by his girlfriend. The dispatcher watched him walk to the car, get in the drivers seat and leave. I arrested him again. Two OUI’s in two hours. I also charged the girlfriend. On another occasion I asked the operator to exit his vehicle for a field sobriety test. He got out, headed straight to my cruiser and opened the back door. I asked why and he replied “this is where you’re going to put me anyway”. I stated that I needed to perform a field sobriety test, and he replied “I’m way to drunk for that”.

October 12 was a Monday, IIRC. and beer battered fish is offered only on Friday, so that must have been some fish fry.
