MSNBC Contributor Swears Off ‘Evil Empire’ Over Joe Scarborough’s Tamir Rice Lies
I have loved being on @MSNBC, Loved @MHPshow, @allinwithchris , @SteveKornacki and @JoyAnnReid , I’d do these shows in a heartbeat.

But when you think a 12 year old playing with a toy gun deserves to die in 2 seconds, I want no part of that kind of evil empire. @MSNBC.

Welp. dassit folks. It’s been fun, haha. If any booker calls me again, I’m down, but dont’ ask me to ever do @JoeMSNBC. I have a conscience.

While Butler’s ire was directed at Scarborough’s overall Michael Brown/Tamir Rice oeuvre, there was one especially egregious Morning Joe moment in which Scarborough just pulled facts out of the thin air between his ears…READ MORE

One has to matter to be an “Evil Empire”! I doubt that this waste of electrons counts in that regard.

I wonder if Joe will have anything to say after he hears about this info coming out about the officer? http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2014/12/cleveland_police_officer_who_s.html Looks like the cop, shouldn’t have been a cop.

Wow, I wish this qualified as ‘unbelievable’ instead of ‘typical’. It seems to be SOP for urban police departments to hire washouts from other enforcement departments.
whatthe46 December 3rd, 2014 at 18:28
that’ insane. there should be a database out there so that when anyone wants to apply for the police department, they can check reference as to whether or not they’ve been employed before with an agency and what their history was. he should never have been on the fk’n job. he was a washout before he even begin.

I don’t know–that sounds frighteningly like universal background checks… (snark)

I think one of the things that would help w/the problem on the police side is states have an accredited degree program for city/county/state law enforcement officers… 2 years of college, learning procedures/laws/rights/etc and 1 year academy to employ that knowledge, how/when to use what force/training on equipment, etc. Make it a degree program such as nursing/cosmetology or many other trades.
Without the degree, no hiring for the job.
Just an idea.

It seems Joe has pissed off a lot of people and this may be the beginning of the end for him on MSNBC. Hello faux news……..here comes Joe.
dave-dr-gonzo December 3rd, 2014 at 19:25
I doubt MSNBC – which has NEVER been as liberal as they pretend to be (hardly a peep about het neutrality or cracking down on ballot fraud) – will drop Joe. He’s the network’s alibi for “balance in our political perspective” (along with the much smarter and far more coherent afternoon host Abby Huntsman).
I still remember the days (the height of the Lewinsky flap) when MSNBC regularly trotted out Ann Coulter (who still owes Ms. Lewinsky a litany of apologies). It wasn’t my original idea, but I regularly said that MSNBC stood for “Make Sure Nobody Believes Clinton.”

IDK, Michael Steele would do a lot better than Joe. Bet he would be good for ratings too.
Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2014 at 20:27
I agree, they are not liberal in an overall sense. I just think if there is enough noise, MSNBC will review changes. I never thought Imus would be forced off air, but finally he was and that gives me hope.
M D Reese December 3rd, 2014 at 22:18
I agree, they are center right at best. I’ve stopped watching them lately. I’m not missing them–not even Rachel.
M D Reese December 3rd, 2014 at 22:16
No–not yet. First they’ll let him do Meet the Press–THEN Fox… (snark)

I wish all black people would stop going on to these right wing talk shows,I also wish that left would see all right wingers as the racist they all are,but none of that will never happen,so nothing will ever change

Joe has outlived his usefulness as a thinking human.
Time for him to disappear into obscurity.
Warman1138 December 3rd, 2014 at 20:44
Joe thinks? And all this time I thought he was following a script. Oh well, Comcast oops I mean MSNBC might have to send him back for a refresher at obedience school.

MSNBC wonders why their ratings are low
instead of trying to be Fox light with Joe Scarborough put some people in there that all liberal progressives to draw in more people that need a television home

Joe suffers from Teapublicanitis which prevents him from knowing what’s right or wrong. Not his fault but on the other hand he DOES NOT deserve a news show no matter what time of day it is….
