Images: 3-Year-Old Shot In The Face While Playing With A Gun Is Son Of Gun Enthusiast
The 3-year-old Washington boy who was shot in the face by a 4-year-old while playing with a gun, is the son of a vocal opponent of the Washington State gun safety ballot initiative, I-594.
The boy was shot by a neighbor with an unsecured firearm in his own home.
The passage of I-594 was backed by Moms Demand Action.
Jon Holzwarth, the boy’s father, campaigned against the initiative, according to his Facebook page.
He also features an image of the injured child posing in front of his vehicle with a bumper sticker that reads, “My Gun Family.”
Local News pointed out Mr. Holzwarth’s Jeep parked outside his condominium with the sticker on his vehicle.
And the front door sign which reads, We don’t Dial 911″ with the image of a gun underneath. Although, he did call 911 when his own child was shot in the face due to irresponsible gun ownership.

Holzwarth’s son, who is currently listed in critical condition at a Seattle area hospital:
The toddler was shot in the face, likely due to the negligence of a gun enthusiast.
According to police, the 4-year-old may have accidentally shot the 3-year-old, but they are still investigating the incident.
On the passage of 1-594, Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, said, “Moms took the fight to keep our children safe from gun violence to a new grassroots level – and the election results show that while the gun lobby can bully politicians, they can’t bully the American people at the voting booth.”
I hope the little boy can one day smile again. His father is the poster boy for what’s wrong with this country. He fought tooth and nail against background checks, and any sort of gun safety measure. Children are “accidentally” shot daily but there are no politicians with the balls to stand up and do something. It’s difficult to feel sorry for Jon because he’s one of the reasons that we can’t have a civil conversation about guns.
In 2010, Mr. Holzwarth said, “When seconds count and police are minutes away, you need people like me who are mentally stable and know how to handle a gun. We need to be out there, in your park, in your theater, in your stadium.”
Our hearts go out to his little boy.

You’re the only one with the paranoia claiming that there’s a calling for an outright ban on guns. The only people I want to ban guns from are from the crazies like you who believe this is the actual agenda. FOX feeds you so much garbage that you suck it in that it’s hard to tell what you’ll do. In my city of Pittsburgh some years back three cops were murdered by a FOX viewer who was fed this crap. You can keep your guns but please stay off of FOX News. A FOX viewer is more dangerous than a gun owner.
