Toddler-On-Toddler Violence: 3-Year-Old Shot By Another Toddler With Shotgun
Baltimore police say a 3-year-old boy was accidentally shot by another toddler (not pictured) in a home Monday night.
Officers were called to the residence after a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived they found a 3-year-old boy inside of a home with what appears to be a gunshot wound to his lower leg, WBAL reports.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and his injuries are not expected to be life threatening. At least not the physical injuries.
When will this toddler-on-toddler violence end?

You know the old saying, nothing stops a bad toddler with a dirty diaper than a good toddler with a shotgun. Thanks NRA and your guns everywhere, anytime for everybody program of fear and ignorance for convincing yet another irresponsible parent how to protect their family with guns.

And all this time I thought it was because of the 2nd Amendment we could own guns.
Well then…..Thanks NRA.

I agree in regards to how tragic an event like this is. And I wish people would be more responsible. Its a tough issue. You wish it would never happen.
Sadly, if you do a google search under Google news, for “Home Invasion” and select the filter within 24 hours. there is multiple pages. yet, do the same search with same parameters for “Accidental Shootings”, you get less then 2 pages worth.

Says the guy who defended someone who shot his ex because he didn’t know who it was.

Dammit enough!
I liked it better when the child shot the dumb parent! kind of snark, kind of true feeling.
but sadly this will continue, and in a day heck maybe a few hours no one will care we have grown accustom to it. Or we can Stop calling these accidents and start calling them child abuse and the parent/s need to grieve while in JAIL! then maybe the stupidly will stop!

Have you seen this? This is Archie Bunker pontificating about gun rights about 40 years ago. See if you can spot the difference between what he said then and what Wayne LaPierre is saying today (hint–it’s a trick question. ) I just love Archie’s solution to “them skyjackings”:

I remember that episode. My siblings and I saw our father in Archie. He says his solution is to give all the passengers guns, and that will stop the hijackings. That’s essentially what the NRA says. Give everyone guns, there will be fewer gun killings. How’s that working for them?

I wish there was a way to make them just shoot each other…

According to FBI gun homicide stats, every year reported since 2007 murders have steadily gone down. Gun sales skyrocketed when Obama became president.
That appears it is working well for “them.”
Until this nation becomes gun free, murders by gun and accidents/negligence will happen.
Too many idiots in the nation.

Murders have gone down, but mass shootings have skyrocketed.
Ferd November 5th, 2014 at 13:24
With the onset of the internet, and the media reporting every shooting, it would appear mass shootings are on the rise. When in actuality, statistics show they have stayed pretty much the same throughout the years.
“According to FBI data, over the past few decades there has been an average of 20 mass shootings a year in the U.S.”
That does not equate to skyrocketing.
The FBI defines a mass shooting as 4 or more deaths. Personally, I would say 2 or more deaths.
M D Reese November 4th, 2014 at 18:07
I agree. Children getting their hands on a loaded gun is never an accident. Where’s all that personal responsibility the right wing is always spouting off about? Shouldn’t gun owners be responsible for their guns? They sure are proud of them…
I’d like to see gun insurance and a tax to cover the medical bills of bystanders who are shot by all the freedumb out there. –I know, crazy talk.

Ho hum–another toddler-shoots-toddler accident…
Seriously–I guess that enough is just never enough when it comes to freedumb. Have we reached zero population growth yet?
Matt November 5th, 2014 at 04:46
What is incredibly depressing is when this isn’t even news anymore. “Oh, a toddler shot another toddler with a gun the parent had laying around? Boooooriiiiiiing.”
M D Reese November 5th, 2014 at 13:10
That’s what gets me too. Thanks to the NRA and their sock puppets in Congress, this is now “normal”.

OT…peterson made a plea deal over his beating of his son. fined, service announcments, parenting classes, and no jail time.

It is mostly their kids who are getting shot (since they are the ones with all the guns laying around) and they don’t even care. How can you protect the children of parents who don’t care whether their own kids live or die?

Yet, right wing nutjob mantra dismisses gun violence and wants to make us afraid of Ebola and immigrant children.

This is a tragedy. We need to teach our children to safely handle the firearms we carelessly leave laying around.
No wait, shit. I got that backwards. Sorry.
