Another Marysville School Shooting Victim Dies
Another 14-year-old girl who was critically injured after a student opened fire inside a Marysville high school cafeteria last week has died, raising the number of fatalities in the shooting to four.
“The entire Providence family is deeply saddened by this news and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to Shaylee’s family,” Dr. Anita Tsen of Providence said in a statement.
This past Monday, 14-year-old Gia Soriano succumbed to her injuries after being shot by 14-year-old Jaylen Fryberg.
Zoe Galasso, 14, was also killed in the Oct. 24 shooting at Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Jaylen Fryberg, the shooter, died at the scene of a self-inflicted wound.
According to KHOU, two other students remain hospitalized. Andrew Fryberg, 15, is in critical condition in intensive care at Harborview Medical Center. Nate Hatch, 14, was upgraded to satisfactory condition after undergoing surgery Thursday to repair his jaw. Both are cousins of the shooter.

I am sick of reading these stories of death and mayhem caused by guns.
And make no mistake about it–it IS the guns–guns in the hands of idiot people; guns in the hands of the innocent children of idiots. Guns in the hands of the mentally twisted and the ideologically insane.
We did this. We allowed this to happen. For too long, our generation was comfortable letting others take care of the politics and the government, forgetting that a government cannot be OF the people if the people are apathetic to the functions and purpose of government.
We are the only people that can change what is happening in our country. If we don’t, well, we deserve whatever comes in the future for our children and grandchildren.
