More Drug Cases Involving Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson Dismissed
Due to Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed an unarmed teenager, missing court appearances after gong into hiding, a half of dozen felony cases are to be dismissed, or have been already.
A review by county prosecutors of drug arrests involving the Ferguson police officer who killed an unarmed, black 18-year-old in a separate incident has led to the dismissal of a half-dozen felony cases.
A spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch said Tuesday that six felony drug cases involving Officer Darren Wilson won’t be prosecuted, primarily because Wilson missed several court appearances after going into hiding following Michael Brown’s early August death.
The dropped cases include a felony marijuana possession charge against 28-year-old Christopher A. Brooks that was thrown out on Monday after a judge had agreed to put the case on hold when Wilson missed a late September preliminary hearing.
For his role in that arrest, Wilson previously received a Ferguson City Council commendation.

And don’t tell me it’s because he fears for his safety. If they can bring witnesses in to testify in high profile criminal cases, this scaredy cat can show up for his damn court cases.

It is time to decriminalize pot and offer 3 month to 24 month rehab for drug addicts instead of jail time

“It is time to decriminalize pot”
We can’t. It makes you gay.

My wife will not be pleased that she’s been married to a “gay” man for over 30 years…LOL

At least it sounds like she is married to a happy man there! And for those who do not understand the reference, the word “gay” meant “happy” originally in the English language.
greenfloyd October 28th, 2014 at 23:38
Okay… however what if the “addict” says, “No thanks, I’m fine, leave me alone,” then what?
rg9rts October 29th, 2014 at 05:23
Its won’t be an option
greenfloyd October 29th, 2014 at 05:57
If I’m not hurting anybody else, then it’s not fair or consistent with individual freedom. So would you force treatment?
rg9rts October 29th, 2014 at 07:56
Your freedom ends where my pocketbook begins
greenfloyd October 29th, 2014 at 08:38
So, where does your pocketbook begin? You did not answer the question I posed as the abstract representation of the “addict.” “No option,” are you implying firing squad? You are going to pay for that too, you know?
rg9rts October 29th, 2014 at 09:27
When I have to pay for your rehab because you ceased functioning
greenfloyd October 29th, 2014 at 09:54
So what do you say to the fully functioning “addict” who does not want your “rehab?” Seems to me you overlook the obvious “option” that would not cost you a penny; leave people alone to make their own choices. Besides it been shown forced drug treatment hardly ever works.

NO addict is fully functional for long…don’t ever kid yourself about that no matter what they say
greenfloyd October 30th, 2014 at 02:14
Don’t know what “business” you were in for 20 years, although you obviously do not understand the difference between the actual effects of drug use as opposed to effects of our failed drug policies. That is where most of the harm is.

YOU don’t know you users..Case closed I won’t waste time with the ignorant on this…
greenfloyd October 30th, 2014 at 02:38
You do not get to close the case, although you are free to concede at this point in the discussion. I don’t mean to offend you, this is apparently a sensitive issue for you. Does your “business” present a conflict of interests?

You’re not the only person in the US that pays taxes. Women pay taxes. Blacks pay taxes. Every sales transaction generates tax revenue. So get over yourself.
