It’s A Miracle: Dead Republican Writes Op-Ed To Attack NH Democrat In Senate Race

The New Hampshire Republican party is worshipping the dead. For some reason, Foster’s Daily Democrat published an op-ed attacking Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) by former House Speaker Marshall Cobleigh, the latter of which has been dead since 2009.

Scott Brown (R-MA, NH, Wherevs) is Shaheen’s challenger, so they raised the dead to write, “As is usual with poll-driven politicians, Jeanne Shaheen is running television commercials and writing op-ed pieces addressing the dominant problem facing America — skyrocketing gasoline prices — but providing no real solutions,” the op-ed began. “Evan worse, anyone who knows her history also knows that during her entire career she has been a big part of the problem.”

“Shaheen, like a stopped clock, is often correct once or twice a day, and her call for an investigation of possible oil price manipulation makes some sense,” the dead guy continues to write. “However, her position on futures trading could penalize homeowners, farmers and all kinds of traders, as well as cripple our economy.”

Talking Points Memo reports, “There was an unusual wrinkle: Cobleigh died in February 2009. The op-ed was actually a reprint of when it was first published in July 3, 2008.”

The end of the op-ed notes that it was  “submitted by the N.H. Republican Party in response to statements made during a recent debate with challenger Scott Brown.”

Next they’ll be dragging Ronald Reagan’s bones out to give her a stern talking to.
