3-Month-Old Baby Shoots Texas Man In The Face
This totally never happens except when it does. After another apparent accidental shooting, Houston police are investigating. This time, the culprit is a 3-month-old baby. You see, the baby had access to his binkie, a blankie and of course, a gun.
Sanders was napping on the couch in the living room of his apartment, according to the police report, when the gun stashed in his pocket slipped out and onto the floor.
What could go wrong?
Well, when the man awoke, he found his firearm in the hands of the three-month-old boy, HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and W. Gilbert said.
You know how babies are. Oh look, a shiny thing!
Sanders tried to grab the gun from the infant, which caused the gun to fire, resulting in the man being shot in the face.
The baby was not injured during the incident, according to the police report.
Sanders was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. It’s not clear as to whether Sanders is the3-month-old shooter’s father or not.
On the plus side: At least the baby didn’t put the gun in its mouth. Babies tend to put everything in their mouths, like shiny things, for example.
As far as I know, the gun survived the incident and is ready for the next. I’m sure the NRA would support gun owners teaching little babies proper gun safety. “More guns” is totally the answer.

just goes to show you how the liberals will change the truth – not that the actual truth is any better: 3 year old boy not 3 months old you idiot liberal rag – lol

being shot in the face when he tried to take a loaded pistol away from a

32,163 killed by guns in the USA in 2011, plus another 70,000+ are shot in the USA annually because many gun owners are so negligent, that a 3 month old Baby had a LOADED Gun Firing into the face of a Darwinian discard like you.
whatthe46 October 27th, 2014 at 23:11
pretty sad his only argument is, the baby was 3 yrs old instead of 3 months. wow. just wow. so, who’s the real idiot here?

Sorry you have such fears and partisan biases. Actual experience in the world and the public in general can help.
AZ Rocks October 29th, 2014 at 16:52
what were the fears I represented? The truth…just stating facts that the truth was bad enough so why try and make it worse by changing the childs age from 3 years to 3 months – try and stay with the group…
lol at experience now that is just funny.
lamorpa October 29th, 2014 at 16:59
The truth is not necessarily exclusive of being funny. The 3yrs/3mos thing has been running around. 2 different stories. It doesn’t actually make much difference. Your best hope is that people interpret your prejudices against any group as a fear, and not just as hatefulness. Just trying to be as positive as possible.
AZ Rocks October 29th, 2014 at 17:10
you are going to think the way you choose it may not resemble the truth , but that’s your option. It does make quite a big difference – between a 3 month old shooting a person and a 3 year old doing. Think about it. Now why would anyone want to make the story even more offensive than it already is by changing the child’s age? That is the point. Not hateful by any means just more disgusted than anything, but thank you for your concern
lamorpa October 29th, 2014 at 17:18
“just more disgusted” by some kind of behavior you choose to imbue on people based on what you decide is their generalized partisanship. That’s the purest of prejudice. As I said, there were 2 separate stories going around: one about a 3 year old and one about a 3 month old. The confusion is on the part of people who decided they were the same story and the facts were wrong in one or the other. I myself assume that people are intelligent whatever their political leanings. I don’t have to agree to see someone has value. But that’s just me.
AZ Rocks October 29th, 2014 at 20:51
so in essence you absolutely think that a 3 month old is capable of shooting a gun? That speaks volumes. Good for you and your rhetoric. You just confirmed everything I said.
lamorpa October 29th, 2014 at 20:57
So you’re saying you are only able to explore one logical combination about an issue. Noted. Maybe it’s actually inappropriate for_both_ a three month old and a three year old to handle a firearm. Both certainly have the grip strength to move a light trigger. The story said nothing of it being an uncocked revolver, etc. It also said nothing about aiming. I’m going by what the article said when I read it.

It isn’t liberals who are causing the problem with guns. We liberals have enough brains to keep our guns locked in a safe, not slipping out of our pockets. And by the way, Arizona sucks. This place is a shit hole because of Republican rule.

Infant….hardly at 3 years old. This is a prime example of someone who shouldn’t carry a weapon, it has to be secured in a quality holster and don’t forget to buy a real gun belt…warning this isn’t cheap. Guns do save and protect lives, same with knives and baseball bats, your gonna have accidents, so I don’t see any story here.

You don’t have to be an NRA member to carry a concealed weapon but you sure do need a license or it’s jail for years. Sure the NRA doesn’t like require, if you like big government, red tape and bureaucracy…like in the the 70’s when it comes to carrying a concealed weapon the criminal has one and you don’t, reason movies such as “Dirty Harry” and “Charles Bronson” came out, the criminal knows his rights, there’s been changes since then and now it’s OK to shoot a criminal in the back if he’s fleeing carry a weapon, it’s also okay to shoot a citizen if he’s charging at law enforcement like line backer, many cops have lost their lives waiting to long to draw their weapon this includes women officers.

Yeah, this stupid man shot himself in the face and tried to blame it on the baby. Three month old babies do not have sufficient grasp to hold the gun and pull the trigger. This happened when the man panicked and “tried to grab the gun from the baby”. An idiot. Disgusted, disliked and shared.

Something doesn’t sound right. 3 month olds have virtually zero grip strength. Pulling a trigger, or at least holding on to it hard enough to pull it while you are taking it away? And why pull it toward your face anyway? If this did happen, you nudge the barrel toward nobody and gently pry the baby’s hands off, which is easy because they have zero grip yet. There’s got to be more to this story.
SteveRosset October 28th, 2014 at 17:05

This site is like the Onion… only not very funny. Not saying this couldn’t have happened… there are idiots all around us (they claim the man fell asleep and the pistol fell out of his jacket)… but I can;t find any other credible source for the incident. In fact, the site has many more ridiculous sounding gun related stories.
In reality however, if this were to happen the circumstances would likely have been worse. You see, young children don’t typically have the dexterity and coordination in their trigger fingers to pull the trigger of most hand guns, at least not comfortably. The default mode of playing with the trigger for small children is often with their thumbs which, unfortunately means the barrel is most likely pointed back towards the infant’s face.
