Birther Oklahoma Man Erects Tombstone With Obama’s Name On It As Halloween Display

As Oklahoma family has been putting up a tombstone with President Obama’s name on it for three years.  One neighbor who recently moved into the area said, “I was absolutely offended.”

“He is the president of the United States and it actually is about respect,” Ms. Phillips said. “It’s a total respect thing because this person is still alive.”

Dwayne Dockens said, he’s sorry if people took it the wrong way but he has no plans on taking the tombstone down, according to KOCO.com.

“I certainly didn’t mean to offend anybody or cause any problems. Don’t know that I would take it down,” he said.

Dockens claims the tombstone which reads, “Obama ?” is harmless.

“[My family and I] made them a few years ago back when it was a big deal, questions up about [Obama’s] birth certificate,” Dockens said. “And we made all these ourselves so just thought it was kind of humorous and, you know, went ahead and put him in there as well.”

Dockens said erecting the decorations with his family brings them cheer.

But, Phillips said she is worried about the message the tombstone sends to children.

Just a neighborly way of saying FU.

I am so sick of the disrespect, they think they are humorous, they make me despise them more every day. I don’t really want to despise anyone but it gets hard not too

Well he has the idiotic republican non-apology apology down. He doesn’t mean to offend anyone and it’s just a little fun for he and his family. This ODS is very strange.

Is Obama offended? He’s the only one who matters in this equation.

I’m sure he’s not aware of it. He probably wouldn’t care.

And if there is ever a real threat, it’s not like the Secret Service will let him in on it.

      • tiredoftea October 13th, 2014 at 12:00

Or, like they would even know about it until after it runs into the White House.

        • Anomaly 100 October 13th, 2014 at 12:39

          Exactly.

Trick or treating is going to be a lot trickier and a lot less treatier at 1600 Pennsylvania’s front door this year.

Like the Secret Service will notice the little bugger’s going through the door.

              This costume might get stopped:

Probably. That would be the return to duty of the Brazilian contingent.

so basic civility, simple respect, and the practice of basing opinions on actual events, not hysterical fiction do not matter?

thanks for the clarification of conservative values.

So… we’re supposed to fact check our Halloween decorations now? Funsuckers.

    • jasperjava October 13th, 2014 at 21:00

He’s not the only one who matters. There’s such a thing as community standards. There’s such a thing as basic human decency.

I guess conservatives will defend “freedom of speech”, but only when it involves racist death threats against the President. They never seem to get enough of that.

      • R.J. Carter October 13th, 2014 at 21:14

There is no death threat here. There’s a tombstone with a “?” for the birth date. It’s a birth joke — nothing more.
Also, the tombstone is the same color as all the other tombstones, so your “racist” remark is an incredible reach.

        • jasperjava October 14th, 2014 at 01:12

Anybody who fantasizes about the President’s death to the extent of making a tombstone for him must have some kind of desire to see him dead. Anybody who wants to see the President dead must have some powerful irrational animus. Given that this is Oklahoma, the hatred is very likely to be racially based.

          • R.J. Carter October 14th, 2014 at 09:09

The suppositions are strong with you.

            • jasperjava October 14th, 2014 at 14:39

I’m through with giving conservatives the benefit of the doubt. It’s a evil ideology based on ignorance, hatred, greed, and fear, which has caused untold misery worldwide.

Whether it’s some shmuck putting up a fake tombstone to express his racist hatred, or the Koch brothers manipulating the system to undermine democracy and bend us to their will, I have no sympathy for them.

Respect and responsibility to each other in this country is long gone!! Our past institutions and common courtesy we learned as children was not passed on to today. I think it was after the book by Dr. Spock about child rearing where he said “your child is special and should be treated as such” gave license to parents to think, the teacher is wrong, my child is right or telling the little league umpire to go F himself! We have been horrible examples as parents and this is just another example.

In the spirit of the holiday, I think I will get a bumper sticker that says OBAMA 2016.

That should scare the living daylights out of these clowns.

“Hey! O Reilly said the Kenyan could not run again. It was on FOX so I knew it was true. We are doomed! BENGHAZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
