Alabama Pastor Tells Congregation: I Have AIDS And Had Sex With Church Members
An Alabama pastor announced in a series of sermons that he has slept with members of the congregation without revealing that he has full-blown AIDS.
Pastor Juan Demetrius McFarland, with 23 years of leadership, confessed to worshipers at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Sept. 14th, that he contracted HIV in 2003 and discovered in 2008 he had AIDS.
In addition, McFarland admitted to mishandling church funds and drug use.
“He concealed from the church that he had knowingly engaged in adultery in the church building with female members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church while knowingly having AIDS,” church deacon Nathan Williams Jr. said.
McFarland was removed as church pastor on Oct. 5th.
“I know a young lady who is a member of the church who says she has slept with him and that she didn’t want this to go public, and she running out now trying to find out if there is anything wrong with her,” a church member explained. “And my heart goes out to her because she’s been a wonderful church member, and then for something like this to happen. The fact that he didn’t tell them at all. That’s a crime in itself.”
“He confessed to the entire membership and then to the City of Montgomery, because as soon as he got done confessing, it went all over Montgomery anyway,” Williams said. “So it’s nothing we [are] making up. It’s coming out of his mouth.”
Williams says leaders have obtained legal counsel.
“Our moves are going to come directly from counsel. We want peace and we want to do things right, legally,” Williams said. “We are not looking to hurt him. We are looking to get the church back. That’s our theme: Get the church back. We want the church back. That’s it.”
Some members want a trial.
“I believe that he should be put on trial,” another unnamed church member said. “Go to court and let the judge decide if he should go to jail or not. We tend to sweep things under the rug, especially if they’re the leader. It’s like oh, no, please let’s not get this out but I think after this that they will have more discussions on HIV and AIDS.”

Christians should not sue other Christians. For those of you who are not serving God, going to church, reading God’s word & meditating on it, have no comments on the matter. You are ignorant (unknowing) of what the word says & like some are being controlled by your emotions. Some of you, just want to have something to say. NO matter what he has done, & it’s wrong what he did, those without sin cast the first stone. I don’t think there is anybody in that category. Be careful the judgment you are bringing on this man who has fallen because if your hands are not clean in the area where he has sinned, you too will be judged by God harshly. Don’t believe me, just watch & see. God does not play with any of us, because He is patient with us.

Yeah that’s great but I’m just going to go out on a limb here and suggest that maybe JUST maybe sport-f*cking the congregation when you are aware that you have AIDs rises above the level of just making a little-ol-mistake.
Using religion as a crutch, platform or excuse makes it even worse.

You didn’t see me write that what he did was right & that it’s just “a little ol mistake”. It’s horrendous what he did along with the ones who had sex with him. Far as religion goes, what most people don’t know religion is a bunch of rituals We are to serve God spirit to spirit because God is a spirit. It only makes it worse in minds that are unknowing, but sin is sin & one sin is know bigger than any other. A thief is put in the same category as the others as far as God is concerned. People are the ones who categorize sin, not God.

All this time and still it seems my gene-kin are more than ready to serve others, even the distant and absentee “fathers”. Please do go on about all the blessings and wonders that YWHW ( i wont bother with the euphemism of title and name, albeit even this is incorrect) has given us. i love bad comedy.

Yeah in my ignorance, I sometimes forget that, as long as you say “I’m sorry, I’m saved, pretty please with sugar on top” everything is just okee-dokee with the Lord.

That’s quite a gift you have there. Why waste your talent trying to talk to crazy liberals who believe in silly stuff, such as facts and science?
Have you ever considered bringing the good word to North Korea? I hear it’s nice over there this time of year and they’re desperate for knowledge pertaining to eternal salvation. And they love bibles, so if you go, bring lots and lots of them.

Screw your non-existent sky fairy and your sanctimonious bullspit. Christianity is the biggest scam in the history of mankind.

Ahhh, the compassionate reply of a liberal atheist?

Hello, Mr. Pot? Mr. Kettle on line one.
At least I don’t pretend to be a “compassionate” follower of Jesus while simultaneously screwing over poor people, women, minorities, the elderly, gays, and everyone else who doesn’t toe the christian line.
Spirit of America October 10th, 2014 at 11:29
Wrong cliche, I never said I was an atheist, liberal or christian.
And don’t take this personal, but the comment was actually aimed more at the folks who keep telling me “the liberals” are compassionate every time I point out neither conservatives nor liberals are all that ‘compassionate/civil” any more; not unless it is their way of thinking.
(I make the same point on the conservative/religious sites)

Last month during a during a sermon in West Monroe, Louisiana, Pastor Phil Robertson the “Duck Dynasty” star said: You can’t get STDs from “Biblically correct sex.”
I knew he was lying!
I’m sure Pastor Juan Demetrius McFarland believes in “hell.”

I don’t feel sorry for anyone of them including the Pastor. I thought one of the reasons you go to church is to learn the bible and do right. Not to whore with the Pastor. The same church members would look and talk down on strip clubs and prostitutes and expect those types of people to have AIDS. Plus if you’re willing to have sex with anyone be responsible and use a condom. Don’t blame only the Pastor, blame yourselves also. Now go pray!

“whore with the preacher” there you go slut shaming the women. brietbart is that way——>
tracey marie October 10th, 2014 at 18:45
you are one angry person aren’t you. Having sex does not make a person a whore, but it does help them relax…you should try it, you need to relax and possibly have something in ypour mouth to shut your ugly up
