Watch: Michael Brown Protesters Interrupt St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Concert In Amazing Way

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra’s concert on Saturday night was interrupted by Michael Brown protesters. The protesters paid for their tickets and added a different and unexpected theme for the night.

While the orchestra and chorus were preparing to perform Johannes Brahms’ Requiem just after intermission, two audience members in the middle aisle on the main floor began singing the old civil rights tune, “Which Side are You on?” Soon after, the two were joined by other protesters, who stood at seats in various locations on the main floor and in the balcony, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Three hand-painted banners were unfurled then hung from the Dress Circle boxes, including one listing the birth and death date of Brown, the unarmed teenager shot dead by Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9th. Another read ‘Racism lives here.”

As the protesters departed, they chanted, “Black lives matter.”

According to the Dispatch, just before they left, the protesters scattered red paper hearts over the edge of the balcony onto the main floor orchestra seats. They read, in part: “Requiem for Mike Brown.”

Still praying for justice, RIP Michael Brown.

Q: How do you know when a liberal is presented with facts for which they have no reasonable response?

A: The resort to juvenile name calling.

        • Anomaly 100 October 5th, 2014 at 21:37

          George Zimmerman, is that you?

          • Skydog2 October 5th, 2014 at 21:41

Yea, because only Zimmerman wants people to accept justice.

            • Anomaly 100 October 5th, 2014 at 21:56

Wrong again. Because justice was not served in Zimmerman’s case.

              • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 03:46

Exactly what I’d expect you to say.

                • Anomaly 100 October 6th, 2014 at 08:05

That’s funny because I expect nothing from you. That’s what you’ve produced in the comments: Nothing.

                  • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 08:52

A fair trial was held and an impartial jury found Zimmerman not guilty. Justice was served, time to move on.

You remind me of the old west justice …… there was a cowboy who was charged with stealing a horse in town, and some of the other cowboys, especially the guy whose horse was stolen, were very unhappy with that guy. One of the cowboys said, let’s hang him. And the other cowboy said, hold on; before we hang him, let’s first give him a fair trial, then we’ll hang him.

                    • Anomaly 100 October 6th, 2014 at 11:14

                      Dang. You suck at this.

                    • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 12:35

“before we hang him, let’s first give him a fair trial, then we’ll hang him”

This is essentially what you’re saying about Darren Wilson.

                    • Anomaly 100 October 6th, 2014 at 12:51

No. It’s totally not. You’re wrong but at least you’re consistent.

        • edmeyer_able October 6th, 2014 at 08:22

Unless the killer is indicted justice will not have been served.

          • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 08:43

Justice will be served when all the investigative bodies perform a complete review of the facts. The outcome is irrelevant.

            • edmeyer_able October 6th, 2014 at 08:48

The gj is composed of individuals from a community that has shown itself to be biased. Irregularities have already taken place.

              • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 08:55

                what is gj?

              • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 09:09

Is the grand jury biased if they vote to indict officer Wilson?

                • edmeyer_able October 6th, 2014 at 13:14

If the gj vote to indict they are saying there’s enough evidence that a crime MAY have been committed, if they vote not to indict they are saying that shooting a suspect from 30′ who posed no danger to anyone and had his hands in the air is justifiable.
But I have my doubts about your ability to comprehend that.

                  • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 16:40

I know this sounds crazy but I’ll wait until the facts come out to draw my conclusions.

                    • edmeyer_able October 6th, 2014 at 17:25

If you’re speaking of a police report, that was due the day of the killing so looks like you’ll be waiting til you die.

            • Carla Akins October 6th, 2014 at 08:50

You say that like we can trust what they will release. They have done nothing so far to install any confidence and they’ve been caught repeatedly, lying, failing to follow protocol and not even understanding that laws they are entrusted to uphold. Forgive me, but I’ll hang on to my skepticism.

              • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 08:55

“Forgive me, but I’ll hang on to my skepticism” – sounds reasonable to me

Don’t forget Eric holder’s beloved DOJ is one of the investigative bodies.

                • Carla Akins October 6th, 2014 at 08:59

Don’t forget the Rodney King video. Sometimes it just doesn’t matter.

                  • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 09:03

In the Rodney King incident, police officers were sent to prison, right?

                    • Carla Akins October 6th, 2014 at 11:29

No, they were acquitted in spite of the fact they were clearly seen beating him – hence the riots.

                    • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 12:25

No, they were acquitted in the 1st trial and sent to prison in the 2nd trial.

            • Rusty Shackleford October 6th, 2014 at 09:18

Yes, we must trust the cops to investigate the cops and tell us if the cops did anything wrong. Flawless logic.

Justice went out the window with Wilson’s bullet.

        • Skydog2 October 6th, 2014 at 03:48

Let’s see what the investigations and grand jury say, maybe Wilson’s bullets served justice.

You run around with your hair on fire after hearing media spin and a small percentage of the facts.

Well, one of us isn’t being reasonable.

And he will still be dead if there’s a quick arrest and a rush to judgment.

A proper, measured investigation is more likely to hold up under scrutiny during a trial.

                  • tiredoftea October 6th, 2014 at 13:38

Let’s not call it justice. It certainly isn’t that.

Beautifully done! They got their message across singing a classic, well. Then they left so the imposition on others was minimal and the show could go on.
It was peaceful with no property damage or anything else to distract from the message. That way, the message remains the thing to focus upon.

Could you imagine how different the media coverage would be if the protestors sang in support of a killer who hasn’t been arrested or charged with anything rather than a dead teenager?
