Grand Jury For Ferguson Shooting Is Being Investigated For Misconduct

The St. Louis County prosecutor’s office is investigating an accusation of misconduct on the grand jury that is hearing the case against Darren Wilson, the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown, The Washington Post reports.

Information from Twitter user @ShaunKing was obtained, Ed Magee, the spokesman for county prosecutor Robert McCulloch, said.

“We are looking into the matter,” he said.

Several users tweeted messages about one juror who may have discussed evidence in the case with a friend and that person has also tweeted in support of Darren Wilson.

Grand jury proceedings are supposed to be confidential and with the possibility of a breach, the prosecutor’s office may have to start over with a newly empaneled group.

Just last week McCulloch said that both the FBI and county police’s investigations into the shooting are “pretty much done” and that jurors should be done hearing all the evidence by later this month, but they could meet through mid-November.

And now, this whole process could start over if there’s been a breach because of that one juror.

My shocked face will need time to adjust for this revelation, it’s been over used regarding the “FACTS” that FPD has come up with regarding the killing of MIKE BROWN.

On a related note a defender of the SS just stated that the ‘fence jumper’ wasn’t shot at because even POLICE OFFICERS have to show restraint, oh the f’n irony.

If a breach occurred, this could work in the favor of those who fall on the “arrest the officer” side of the fence.

I still think Wilson will walk. This whole crime stinks of a cover up. Cops seem to always have the upper hand in these types of incidents and this one is no exception. I truly hope I’m wrong but the town of Ferguson will remain on pins and needles…

I’m afraid you might be right, and if Wilson walks I’m also afraid Ferguson will look like your profile pic.

Rather typical (business as usual) in red states and areas where there is lots of racism.

I said the same thing the second week, not that it took Karnac to predict this one. So freaking sad.

Well in a way this has a funny smell to it. what better way to postpone this until it gets further away from front page news.
    Still don’t trust the prosecuter!

That’s his plan. The DA has a solid history of not indicted cops for anything. Wilson just went a little further than the others, but the outcome will be the same. Look for a very quiet release on a late Friday night. Oh, right around xmas!

This case should of been taken over in the beginning by the feds. This stinks of mis-conduct and cover-up all the way around and should of been handled by someone from the outside. If there is a do-over, let the feds do it. Justice should be impartial and the best chance of that is by a source not so deeply involved with the killing.

    • CherMoe October 2nd, 2014 at 11:41

Sad to say, this country is FILLED with corrupt partisan judges, many of whom are prejudicial, as well.
