In Praise Of Holder

In my view, President Obama’s Cabinet choices have been mostly, well, meh.  The biggest exception has been the now departing Attorney-General.  Steve Benen lists his accomplishments:

The A.G., for example, has shown amazing leadership on the issue of LGBT rights. He’s challenged Republican restrictions on voting rights. He’s fought for sentencing reforms. He’s condemned “Stand Your Ground” laws and showed effective leadership during the crisis in Ferguson. He cleared the way for Colorado and the state of Washington to pursue marijuana legalization. He’s worked to reverse the disenfranchisement of the formerly incarcerated.
We don’t usually think of the office of Attorney General as one in which a policymaker can become one of the nation’s champions of a progressive agenda, but that’s exactly what Eric Holder has done.

While I would give USAG Holder high marks for his professional dedication to duties and his personal struggles to enhance EQUAL RIGHTS for all Americans, I was/am deeply disappointed in the conduct of the Government of The United States of America in it’s refusal to actively pursue conviction of a known armed child stalking WHITE RACIST child murderer – and their complete refusal to bring armed thug WHITE RACIST who attempted to overthrow the United States of America form of Government by armed rebellion to justice by any means whatsoever. These two examples along with continued murder of BLACK Americans with no legal actions taken are no doubt why many nations are starting to view US as ‘The Graveyard of Human Rights’. Hopefully the incoming USAG will make it their FIRST PRIORITY to round up the WHITE RACIST of the Bundy Armed Rebellion and confiscate the illegal US Military armaments that were displayed. (shouldn’t be too damn hard to do with all the video available at Fox News) .
Due to these two major failures, I would only be able to give USAG Holder a low A+ in performance. As a TRUE American, I’d still rate him at the highest A+, giving him an average A+ overall.

Still a nice rating. The 2 above will be dealt with; systematically. Holder would like to continue to work with Ferguson. The other issues are going to require a lot of time and planning. He knows he is going. But his successor will be able to fight the battle.
My biggest regret is not seeing the Bush Administration being held accountable.

No former President will ever be held accountable for anything, that precedent was set long ago when Ford pardoned Nixon.

true, but sometimes just pointing out the REAL TRUTH like in Historical Mathematical Records/Recorded Events/Forgotten US Military Flight Logs, etc. does shine a light on media events that seem to want to stay hidden in the murky shadows of human memories, even when there’s abundant miniscule hints like AIRPORTS, MEMORIALS, big ass buildings that blocked off the view of the Capitol Mall, Ships, etc.

well, it does leave some room for perfection. Hopefully he’ll give his replacement a heads up sos they can really go after lazy ass truckers like wayoff on some EPA violations or safety violations on their rig or something. You know a trucker that’s too lazy to click on a Wikipedia icon will be much to lazy to crawl out of their rig and do a walkaround.

Every new Federal regulation that you adore results in added costs to everything you buy. Remember that before you complain about your higher food and electric bill.

Then we should raise minimum wage and tax the extremely rich more heavily and put more money back into the economy so people can afford these minor increases with great ease. It would be a win-win situation, better quality products and the ability to consume more thus stimulating the economy even more.

Overall, I think Holder has done a fairly decent job. At least, now. He knows who his friends are. LOL

Lying to the people’s representatives was doing a decent job?
