On Tuesday morning, Secretary of State Chuck Hagel appeared before a Senate Armed Services committee hearing on the U.S. strategy against ISIS, but the real star of the show was anti-war activist group Code Pink. The group enjoyed widespread popularity on the Left during the Bush era, but since then, have even become an annoyance to many liberals, who saw the group’s theatrics in a new light.
At Tuusday’s hearing, several Code Pink members were escorted out of the hearing shouting anti-war slogans, including the group’s founder, Medea Benjamin:
But then, things took a turn for the creepy when another protester, another young woman took the floor, and Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) quipped, “I always enjoy attention from this group,” prompting another senator to shoot back, “I don’t think she’s old enough for you.”
Yeah, I’m sure she has opinions about war and stuff, but look, dude, she’s hawt! Check it out…READ MORE

Once again proving that Old Man McCain had NO BUSINESS BEING PRESIDENT and I thank my lucky stars every freaking day that he lost in 2008. Can you imagine how bad things would be now had he won? It’s hard to even fathom.

So we’re going to “war,” even though the political and military establishments are loath to call it that and prefer to call it something like “counter-terrorism” or just a “military campaign.”
I just don’t get it!? These senators and military top-brass agree they (ISIS) represents no threat to the “homeland.” And we’ve already pushed them back with our air support and Iraqi and Kurdish forces on the ground. In other words these particular thugs are not invincible or unstoppable. Most importantly they are not our problem!
If they are truly an “apocalyptic” group, as Sec. Hagel calls them, they will self-destruct as they sow the seeds of their own destruction, with our without our assistance. Most of the Muslim world rejects and opposes them and will not long tolerate them. Unless, they serve some useful purpose in the old enemy of my enemy is my friend equation that defines, for the moment, the relationship between power, terror and enormous wealth for a few.

How is “I always enjoy attention from this group,” sexist?

If they don’t want attention, they’re doing it wrong.

It depends on who you’re talking about. If you’re talking about Code Pink, then yes. They WANT the attention. If it’s the GOP then …
R.J. Carter September 16th, 2014 at 16:25
It’s pretty obvious the attention whores are on both sides of that particular tug-of-war.

Yep, and the creepy part is the young Code Pink women stalking McCain when there are plenty of much younger, more attractive men around, y’know?
