Watch Police Tase and Arrest A Guy For Sitting While Black

Yet another viral video showing police abuse of a black citizen is making the rounds this week. According to Chicago-born musician Christopher Lollie, police in St. Paul, Minn. stopped him in January for the crime of sitting in a public area while being black. When he refused to identify himself, as the police refused to explain what crime he was suspected of, the cops escalated the situation to the point of tasing and arresting him while he was waiting to pick up his kids, all of which Lollie caught on cellphone video. The cops confiscated his phone, but he got it back, and earlier this week, Lollie posted the video of the arrest on YouTube:

The charges against Lollie, which were “trespassing, disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process,” were later dropped, and the St. Paul Police released a very familiar-sounding statement:

    Love the headline to this story. Would love to see the police report that says, “Arrested for sitting while black”. Then the Liberal Victim Hood may have some proof to their claims. On a side note i do question, How long was this man sitting? How long was he stalking the person who called the police before this video was made?

      Where are you getting “stalking the person” from? I didn’t see it anywhere. What I understand is that he was waiting to pick up his children. I hope you have a link to that wild accusation about stalking.

        Why would someone call the police for someone just sitting? Seems he was sitting in that place for a reason? Stalking, casing, plotting, Someone felt that this man was a threat and not just because he was black. Police will not show up on a call just because of race alone, there has to be a complaint. I just used stalking as an example question. P.S. You clearly do not understand the fact that one side of a story is not a story. It is part of he story. Seems there is no link to the rest of the story and we are left to speculate. You speculate how you want and i will how i want.

Seems i read enough, when the headline makes me question the story from the start and the first paragraph answers nothing, i don’t need to read more. i have enough insight to realize this is just the Liberal Victim Hood.             Right, So this story has something skewed. As there is no reason for police to respond to calls for “Sitting while black” As it is not illegal. They responded for a whole different reason.

              Just for laughter sake. “Sitting while black” As it is not illegal.” Correct sitting is not but being a black male not in the prison system is. Can you see that as you put it, someone called the police because of his “suspicious” behavior. Who do you speculate made that call? Remember the black guy gunned down in Wal-Mart because he had a pellet rifle in hand that he was going to purchase? Mean while across the room there was a white male who thought that to be suspicious behavior.

              Stories about crime by police are often that way. Since they are the ones that collect the evidence it is very easy for them to hide or forget about things that might incriminate themselves. Facts are almost always slow to come out when the those enforcing the law think they are above the law.

    I’m sick and tired of cops in this country using this same BS excuse time after time. Time after time they try to cover up their mistakes. Time after time they abuse their powers not to mention abusing their “prisoners”. IT IS a black vs white issue…no doubt about it and it has to change. It is escalating out of control. Videos need to INCREASE to show the abuses and end this police brutality. Police departments across the country need to be examined and scrutinized for their failures to do THE RIGHT THING. No bigotry …bias..or prejudice should be allowed. Heads need to roll when officers fall out of line and stop protecting cops when they have done wrong. Officer Wilson in Ferguson is a prime example of this kind of abuse. He cannot be allowed to police ever again ANYWHERE. That is all!!

    I’d like one of our Nazi Republican friends to explain to me what the difference is between the brutalizing of Mr lollie and the treatment handed out to blacks in South Africa or Jew’s living in Germany shortly before the war. There is no difference – this is raw racism right there on film.
    These cops should be fired and not be allowed to sponge off of the rest of us with a tax-paid pension. There were were two criminals on that film and neither of them was black. So if one of our Republican racist contributors could help – II’d like to know what Mr Jollie was doing wrong other than wearing a skin color offensive to the Republican party.
