Dude In MSNBC’s Gaza B-Roll Doesn’t Give A Tenth Of A F*ck
Casual Pepper Spray Guy has met his match, in the form of the dude from MSNBC’s Gaza conflict B-roll, which played over Chris Hayes’ brief commentary on the newest ceasefire in the most recent Israel-Palestine flareup. While everyone else in this clip is hitting the deck behind a concrete shack, watch what Casual B-Roll Dude, in the black shirt, is doing:
Now, aside from the fact that this clip proves the inconvenient fact that smoking does, indeed, sometimes make you look cool, it illustrates a pressing need for cable news to establish some rules for b-roll. I read a book called “Everything bad is good for you”. I talked about how smoking is one of the quintessential points of coolness. the disregard for your own preservation of life in lieu of living life to the fullest and all that. Remember how cool a smokey jazz/rock club used to be?
on another note…I just got a vape and it has totally been working for me ;)

I need to try to quit again.

If I can quit, you can too! I believe in you!

Aw, thanks. You’re the best. I tried in NYC before I moved out of state. I lasted a month. I suck.

I quit in a strange way. I just tried to go a little longer each day before I had my first cigarette. Before I knew it, one day it was 5pm and I hadn’t had one! That was my first non-smoking day.

That’s excellent advice. It really is. My BFF just walked away from smoking and never looked back. Unfortunately, I am not as brave as she is. I’m going to take your advice. Thanks so much!

You can do it! You can!
I’m really just selfish and want you to live forever. ;)

People who quit smoking, lack commitment in their lives ;)

I need to quit too… sometimes when I take a breath.. I can’t tell if I’m hearing Bagpipes, the symphony (warming up), or a flock of geese just flew by… BLAH!!!

Oh gosh, me too! I hear whistles coming from my lungs.

I can understand that. I’ve seen people standing outside of a bar, in sub-zero weather, getting their nicotine fix. When ya gotta have one, ya gotta have one.
